Came here for the first time with my son. We ordered the Açaí bowl, Açaí Berry Breeze smoothie, Oreo smoothie, and Gummy Bear snow cup. Both the Açaí bowl and smoothie are delicious. The Oreo smoothie was super sweet and doesn't taste like what we're normally used to when you buy an Oreo shake. Snow cups (cones) is called Shaved Ice in Hawaii where I'm from so it's finally nice to find a place that actually shaves the ice real fine like I'm used to. They have so many other shaved ice and smoothie flavors to choose from. The Gummy Bear is really delicious. Their cup sizes are massive so make sure to order what you can consume because my regular was definitely larger than normal regular size. Staff are friendly. The orders took a really long time to be made, and they even had several workers on the floor. Parking lot is small and located in the Hobby Lobby/Twin Liquors area. read more

My husband and I decided to get some shaved ice for our late night snack. We got there a little past 10 PM, but there were a lot of customers, not to mention a long line for the drive-thru. However, there were a lot of employees behind the counter and it didn't take long to receive our orders. As a shaved ice place, there is a ton of vegan options at Bahama Buck's. After double checking dairy free options with the employee, I got the Mangonada in a Baby size and my husband got a smoothie/shake drink type called the Wavebender (which had dairy). Mangonada also seemed to be one of the most popular items on the menu, as I saw three other people ordering the same thing during the time in the store. But unfortunately, it felt like they went a little bit overboard with their chamoy and chili salt because it was way too salty for me. However, if you like that extra kick, I highly recommend you to get it --for me, I think I am going to opt for a regular shaved ice with only sugar free mango syrup next time. My husband really enjoyed his drink, and we also received a free coupon for signing up for their membership, so I will certainly be back to try other vegan items. read more

Bahama Bucks always has friendly, happy employees and of course their shaved ice is delicious! Always nice and soft, smooth, no huge chunks like regular sno-cones, and the flavor always goes all the way through, no plain ice bottoms here! I have earned more than a few free ones through their frequent buyer club. LOL My favorite combo is pineapple passion fruit black cherry, but they have a HUGE range of flavor options to choose from and I've yet to dislike any I've tried. The only thing that makes them better is getting them "Bahama Mama" style, which adds ice cream in the middle and cream on top. Yum! The prices are reasonable as well, especially for the sizes! Regular is enough for most folks, large if you're just needing that extra comfort sugar. Avalanche is kind of comically huge and really I think meant for two people (see my pics for an example when I ordered one just for kicks on half-price day)! Ahhh I LOVE this place. Never have they ever messed up my order , and it's the perfect summer snack for the brutal Texas heat. They often have deals on hooked for bogo or bogo 50% off, which is such a great deal! Prices aren't bad ranging from around 4-7 depending on what you get. I always thought american shaved ice was kind of gross (think like 50cents, elementary school, parent-made stuff with the syrup) until my friend brought me to Banana Bucks. It such a good dessert on hot nights and the fact that they have a drive-through makes it even more convenient. I almost exclusively get the bahama rama mama which has a scoop of ice cream in it, and you can choose any combination of flavors for your ice and ice cream although the ice cream only comes in a few classic flavors. Nothing I've tried has been bad. They also have coupons once in a while and a loyalty rewards punch card so there's no excuse to not go. I want to try other things on the menu but it can be somewhat daunting as their menu is quite expansive. The sizes are huge! I generally get the smallest size and that's enough for me. You can also buy a party size for you and your friends to chow at home which seems like a fun way to cool down in the hot summer. I will be somewhat sad to leave this establishment after my time in college station is over. Luckily it's a chain and I can only hope that there will be one in my next destination. read more

Hello, I would like to start off by saying Bahama Buck's is my favorite snowcone place ever! I go at least 4 times a week and bring people all the time. I've had great service there in the past but lately i've been treated very poorly. Last night I was denied a whole punch in my punch card because i got a free snowcone however my punch card had already had 10 and i didn't receive the correct amount of punches. The lady was very rude about the situation and handled it poorly by going back inside and talking about me.... I spend WAYY to much money at bahama buck's and bring a lot of money to bahama buck's to be treated this way. We came here because our little boy has been begging for us to come here. In a nutshell, it is overpriced and ran by young kids who have no idea what they are doing. $22 for ice and sugar? Seriously? The kids working here couldn't even answer basic questions and upon requesting a modification of a menu item that would basically just require for them to blend two products together from their $9 bowl, they refused. This is the best shaved ice in town! I love the flavors and the add-ons available. The Bahama Rama Mama™ option is worth it if you're feeling ice cream with your shaved ice. I like how you have no limit to how many flavors you want unlike other places I've been to. I think that's one of the features that makes me keep coming back to try more combinations. I really like the super sour flavors. This place is pretty fast with getting you your snow cone if you come at the right time. Since they've open, I've been here 5+ times and gotten service in reasonable timing. I like their Thin Ice flavors since they're sugar-free. I've been to a few of their locations. They have some strange "flavor of the day" flavors. This month it was Polar Berry, and the young girl told me it tasted like Go-Gurt. That doesn't sound appealing. A better "flavor of the day" choice could really make this place 5 stars. Also, if it's going to be "flavor of the month", just make it that, and don't offer the same "flavor of the day" for the entire month. Honestly, Bahama bucks is my guilty pleasure. My bf and I frequently take quick little dates here and we can both get what we want for about $6 total. Some may say that's expensive for 2 snow cones but these types of snow cones are worth it. The "snow" is like legitimate soft packing snow (I grew up in the north so I would know).
