I have been here numerous times before writing this review. Every single time I've come here since the start, they do not put enough syrup, and it is usually one girl in particular and I think they need to be ret-rained. So I just started ordering now, "Can you please add extra syrup?" Or "last time there wasn't enough syrup can you make sure there is extra?" And every time they are very nice and say of course but then it is still made the exact same way. I am not paying to eat plain ice. I loveeee shaved ice! It's seriously one of my favorite treats. Bahama Bucks never disappoints. I've been to this location a few times now and the service is always quick, the staff are very friendly and the treats are DELICIOUS! This time, I got the Birthday Party Sno which is a cake batter flavor shaved ice with tropical creme and rainbow sprinkles. This is my second time attending this location. The Drive Thru is very slow with 2 workers that were working. But the drinks me and my boyfriend ordered was delicious. Customer service is subpar until you complain because they messed up. Flavor was lacking and a center hole where no syrup touched. Outside it looked awesome and we were so excited to go and do try. When entering you order to the left and there's ample seating inside and out. But with the mosquitoes no one is sitting outside. We ordered a baby and small shaved ice. From the time we placed our order it took 15-20 mins to get our order. I think they prioritize the drive thru line. Well when we received our order it was made wrong and we were questioned to justify why it was wrong. You would think they were would make our order right away to fix the issue , you'd be wrong. We went back to the line in their eyes. So there goes another 15 mins before we received our order. Dissatisfied with our order when we finally received it we returned one that tasted like chemicals. (I would steer clear of the super lemon flavor) the guy heard clear across the business asking what wrong it. It taste like crap that's what's wrong with it. The manager intimately came out to say sorry for our experience and off free coupons for a return visit and asked if we wanted anything in place of it - we declined and just asked for a refund for the one we really didn't like. She gave us a full refund in good faith. Since we got free coupons we might go back to get it a try, but I don't have high hopes. In idea this place sounds delicious. Simple ingredients should ensure fast service.. but that's not the case. It's a lot of younger kids running the location and the service leaves a lot to be desired. There are alot of options to choose from. I won't stick to the basics. I've tried the shaved ice, and the smoothies, and they have all been amazing. I tried the açaí bowl recently and it was magical! The honey with the açaí and the fruit... just... try it. Atmosphere - Actually pretty good amount of indoor seating.  Seems most people use the drive up lane, but the lines here can get long.  So I rather go inside and wait Food - When we first moved here, here being Maricopa, we did not move into the business.  We probably visited Bahama Bucks three times in a month, it was June and we were not use to the heat.  I learned that I really liked the Bahama Rama Mama with blue and red raspberry as my two flavors.  The Rama Mama has vanilla ice cream buried in the shaved ice.  I am hooked on this, and dairy is not my friend but I still eat it. So I went with my norm. Service - This place is always hopping when I come.  I say there are probably 5 to 6 young adults working the place.  They are always positive and friendly.  Most people do not order just a snow cone so there is some time involved in making those treats per order.  So be patient as it is worth it! I have been wanting to come to this place ever since I moved to Maricopa! And Bahama Buck's did not disappoint! I had the Tigers blood with the Bahama rama mama and vanilla ice cream. Also we ordered the sugar free mango shaved ice, a mango smoothie and one more!!! Everything was so delicious! The service was amazing, and the ambience was so cool! I felt like I was in the Bahamas! The items are delicious, though not always made properly. More often than not I've ordered a Mango Tango lite and got full sugar. The service is CONSTANTLY slow. The workers don't move fast and seem uninterested in working. Not sure if there's a lack of motivation due to pay, management, or general apathy. They also seem to be very understaffed most of the time. Usually just 2 workers trying to do drive-thru and in establishment orders along with anything ordered via their app or delivery app. Putting names with orders would help their in establishment orders. Frequently other idiot customers don't remember what they ordered. read more

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY!! Be prepared to wait a loooooong time for a shaved ice. How is it that restaurants with steak, burgers, pizza & lobster serve you quicker than a simple shaved ice beverage?! In addition to waiting well over 35+ minutes for your beverage, you will most likely have to deal with their rude managers/team leaders. I've been here a few times ONLY because my kid likes their beverages. If it wasn't for my kid, I wouldn't bother with this Bahama Bucks location anymore. But EVERY SINGLE TIME...they have very long wait times, given me my beverages melting on the cup trays that spill in my car, forget to add or do something to my drinks, been so rude & unprofessional. I don't know who the owner is, but I hope they read this review and do some investigation, reevaluation, retraining & research on how this team/location can do better. read more

My family are big fans of Bahama Bucks and have been customers for 10 years and were happy that a location opened up closer to where we live. Sadly, our experience tonight is inexcusable. We ordered a small two flavored shaved ice and a baby single flavored shaved ice. However, when we got to the window one was made at a larger size. The person at the window did offer to charge me for the smaller size, but I didn't mind paying due to the fact that we love their product. My daughter and I start making our way home only to find the middle of the larger order completely white and flavorless in the middle. So we turned around and went back to the store. Upon entering I politely asked for the item to be remade since it was white and flavorless in the middle. No questions were asked and I was quickly on my way. We're turning out of the shopping center when my daughter says, dad, its still white in the middle. Whoa! really!! I'm thinking ok, they must be having a rough night. But we're going back for them to remake it, again. As i walk in, all eyes are on me as i walk over to the pickup station and set the cup down. The shift leader, Paige approaches and asks what the problem is. I say, take a look, it doesn't have enough syrup and with a lot of "sass" asks if i want it remade. I said, yes, third time's a charm. She then begins to argue with me in front of the entire staff, saying that the 1st time I came back, that there was no white in the middle. I calmly explained that we were almost home and by the time we got back it must have soaked up some of the syrup. Please don't think we ate the whole thing and wanted a freebee. This thing was still intact, it was just poorly made. When the shift lead was done with her rant, with even more "sass" she stormed away to remake the item and i asked her if I was being unreasonable and asking for too much. She then sited, again, that the 1st time i returned was somehow my fault. So instead of the remake, I asked for my money back. She motioned for me to go to the register for my refund while she stormed back to her station. A minute later she approached the register and apologized, but it was so she could explain that i should let my shaved ice sit for a minute or two so all the syrup can go through the cup. I let her know that I appreciate the information, but that it really didn't matter as i would not be returning to that location again. This is the absolute worst example of a supposed leader. She was the person leading the crew of about 8 staff members. I will never play "the customer is always right" card, but I expect polite and considerate service. Especially from the manager on duty. She was argumentative when she was clearly in the wrong. Her apology was empty and completely lacked empathy. She was unprofessional to the point that she was huddling up with the team while they all snickered and gave dirtily glances while I was getting my refund at the opposite end of the shop. I haven't read the other two reviews, but the rating is on point. Like I said earlier, we've been customers of the brand for over 10 years, however all it takes is one bad experience like this to change my opinion and will no longer do business with them. read more

Buyer Beware, these syrups stain clothing! I ruined my outfit after the red dye dripped off the cup. If you get it to go, make sure they put a lid on it. I went home immediately and put stain remover on my clothing which did nothing. I also tried vinegar, rubbing alcohol, dish soap, and finally called the Store to ask their advice. They said they had problems getting the red out of their own uniforms. It was a high price to pay for a cold treat! read more

Slow, slow, slow, slow drive-thru!!! Never have I visited a Bahama Bucks that took this long to make shave ice treats! Even our Taco Bell (probably busiest fast food restaurant in Maricopa) is 100 times faster!!! This is just ridiculous!!! I'm curious if it's residents just staring at the menu board and taking forever to order because we have plenty of the older blue hair type moving in and traffic has slowed down greatly in town (Slowed down as in driving 5 to 10 MPH below the posted speed limit!). Regardless, the shave (shaved) ice treats are delicious and the young staff are all very pleasant and provide excellent customer service. Unbelievably slow, with only 3 cars in front of me in the drivethru, detoured out of line after 17 min. This was the third time I've wanted to try this place, each time it has been 15-20 minutes just to move up one vehicle in the drive thru, suffice to say, I have yet to place an order.
