This was a cool little tea/ ice cream shop. They have a number of tea options which was great since it was late and don't want caffeine. They were super helpful with the menus and very friendly with discussing sweetness and overall taste. The shop was very clean despite having several customers and only a few people working since it was almost closing time. The decor and ambiance was pretty base for this type of shop, nothing stands out from memory, but it was nice and clean, very friendly and welcoming. Will come back! read more

Great sweet treat spot! Okay so I've only ever been to one other place similar to this and they're harder to come by than you'd expect It's a very unique way of doing "ice cream" "shaved ice"? I believe it's frozen shaved milk Sounds odd but it's very good and melts in your mouth like cotton candy I like to say There is many options to choose from for flavors and toppings and honestly you can't go wrong with anything Very refreshing and delicious! The staff is super nice and helpful also Very friendly and patient with us. (We had a big order) They seemed very happy to have us there and felt very welcoming Very clean and open space. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy your desserts. If you like sweets and even boba drinks I can highly recommend this place I will say the main unique thing would be the Snow so I recommend at least trying that! You won't regret it! Always loved Snowtime! We tried the Ahwatukee location recently and it was so spacious and clean. We got the Sweet Sunset snow and my kids devoured it. I got a hot cafe latte, wish I asked for honey but I still enjoyed it. Just added some sugar. read more

Recommend: YES! Yum! Food: I got the soft serve, so soft so good. Try ube flavor! Service: oh they're so kind. Even the owner is so sweet. My favorite item: Fish cone ice cream with custard filling. Ambience: This place is always clean and cute. They used to have a photo station but it looks like it's gone now. :( Details: this place is great place to bring ur kids, lunch date with ur significant other or with ur friends. Matcha soft serve with fish cone was great. Matcha does taste like a matcha latte. I added custard, and the fish is softer like a donut, so the finishing of the cone was like a custard filled donut. My kids surprisingly loved the matcha too when I have them a bite. read more

This dessert was so delicious and the owner was incredibly sweet, kind. When I asked her opinion on toppings she was incredibly helpful ! We wanted to try something new and different for dessert tonight, so this was our first time visiting this place. We ordered a small Biscoff Cheesecake Snow, made with a milk snow-style flake--such a great combination with the Biscoff, vanilla ice cream, and cereal. It was absolutely delicious. The portions are generous--even the small was more than enough for my husband and me to share and feel full. The manager/owner was super friendly, welcoming, and kind. She helped us decide what to order since everything sounded so good and we couldn't choose. Great customer service! It was a cute place and there were plenty of tables and seats and the menu was easy to read. We definitely recommend this place and will be coming back again! read more

I've been coming here for a while and love their sweet treats, I've tried the soft serve, snow, and teas, but the snow is definitely my favorite. The texture is super light and fluffy, and it's always so refreshing. On my most recent visit, I was excited to see some new flavors on the menu. The mango snow (with mango bits and mango puree) has quickly become my go-to, but my all time favorite is still sweet sunset (with strawberry and mango). I also have my eye on the cheesecake snow, can't wait to try that next time! The place is always clean and welcoming, and the service is fast and friendly. I can confidently say the Sweet Sunset is my favorite thing on the menu here. Consistency on the quality and taste of this amazing dessert is key. The snow is always cool, fluffy and creamy, the fruit is yummy and fresh tasting, and the scoop of vanilla ice cream tops it off. I can easily share a size small after a hefty dinner. Terrible customer service, sad to say this because it's such a cute place and the ice cream and drinks are sooo good but it's definitely wasted potential with the customer service here . I've been here twice and both times I've never been greeted. it's so awkward to order, the workers literally just stare are you until you start talking or ordering. It's just dead quiet when you walk in as well . Safe to say I won't return again on date night to spend money somewhere I don't feel welcomed. read more

Amazing sweet treats, they are all so beautiful put together! There was a small photo taking machine near the entrance that my friends and I were able to take photos of ourselves with (for free) and there was plenty of seating. The staff was kind and made everything as quickly as they could. I got the ice cream fish cone and was able to choose toppings and fillings (some were complimentary), my friends got the dessert waffles and an açaí bowl. Everything tasted great! read more

Over the past few years we've seen photos and videos of people enjoying Taiyaki, and thanks to Yelp, we now know where we can enjoy the experience. Every time I've been here, the employees have been great and the product has been delicious. The custard filling really takes this to the next level. When I was on my way here, I was listening to a Christian radio station. When I walked into this place, they were playing the same station. Totally threw me off for a second because the same song that was playing in my car was playing in the establishment. Super cool btw. Never been anywhere but chick fil a that plays worship music. The brown sugar milk tea taste like waffle crisp cereal. So yummy my gosh. The matcha love was pretty interesting. Super yummy but also strange haha. My kiddo had the fruity pebble fish bun. First, the space is huge and the decor is very trendy. I had no idea what to expect when visiting. The staff was SUPER friendly. She took the time to explain to me what all the various options were and even swayed me from making a wrong decision. I am a basic guy, and I don't really do sweets, so I just got the strawberry fish cone. It was better than your average strawberry waffle cone. Not overly sweet but sweet enough. Snowtime was snooooow yummy (so yummy)! I tried the sweet sunset snow ice which had strawberries, mangoes, condensed milk and ice cream. The snow ice is so soft and tastes really good! There is a bunch of other dessert treats here too besides snow ice. There are a ton of tables and chairs inside the place to enjoy your treats at. There's lots of free parking in front of the spot. Not a bad choice for shaved ice in the area! I stopped by here for a post-dinner dessert. It's not hard to find parking, and the interior of the store is spacious with plenty of seating. I ordered the black sesame shaved ice, which came out after a bit of waiting. I loved the black sesame powder dusted on top and the fact that the dish came with tasty toppings like red bean and mochi. The portion size wasn't too bad either. The only thing is that I wish the shaved ice was infused throughout with black sesame, since I got a little tired of eating it as I ate past the black sesame powder layer on top. This is a nice place to grab dessert at, though I'm still on the hunt for something that's comparable to shaved ice from the Bay Area. :") Nevertheless, this is definitely still a place to stop by time to time! read more

These were the most massive, immaculate things I've ever seen. Mine was topped with sprinkles and coconut flakes and I topped it off with a fresh berry peachy drink with passion fruit poppers. I got the apple cinnamon waffle with a scoop of ice cream. It was so small but just the right size to make me want more. I had to share it with my GF so it stung a lot. There is a nice variety of sweet treats, and the service provided by the team inside the truck was stellar. One of our student organizations was hosting The Scookie Bar, and after walking around their event, you could score a ticket for a complimentary Scookie. As we pre-ordered so many as incentives for our students, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, something wasn't set up properly so we didn't have the cookies themselves, but we did have sundaes. We had six options to decide between. I went with The Standard consisting of vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce, and on a normal day, there would have bene a chocolate chip cookie, too. The other five options included the Chocolate Lover, The Celebration, The Signature, Reese's Lover, and The VNA. While I enjoyed the sundae, I'm sure it would have been even better with the cookie included. The Scookie Bar is "where the scoop met the cookie" and serves freshly baked, warm deep-dish skillet cookies also known as scookies. They have a location at The Churchill in Downtown Phoenix, though I would assume I would more regularly see them when their food truck stops by ASU. Their Churchill location is closed on Monday but open Tuesday through Friday from 5-10 PM and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10 PM. If you want to order catering, it includes 2 hours of service and a 100 scookie minimum. They can provide a Build Your Own Menu where guests can choose the cookie, ice cream, and toppings, or they can choose from the Signature Scookie Menu which is what ASU did. They have been operating since 2016 in Phoenix. Now that I realize that I was missing the chocolate chip cookie, I need to try it again with that included! I definitely recommend this sweet treat to others.

What was suggested to us if we wanted gelato was the hazelnut flavor. I was expecting a little cup for the 6 of us just to get a taste, but what he brought over was a massive serving. I don't know how many scoops it was or even how much we even paid, but we all got plenty with some even left behind. Now this gelato was life changing. Probably the best I've had in the states. I know it's gotta be way better in Italy, but I'll take what I can when I can. Think of a Ferrero Rocher but in gelato form. It was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. I wanted something unapologetically New Yaek. And what's more New Yawk than a box of classic Italian cookies? After asking a few Yelp friends where to find the best Italian cookies in Phoenix, The Sicilian Baker kept coming up. I called them last minute on Christmas Eve eve, having never been there before, totally sight unseen. First of all, their voicemail is hilarious. Truly. If you do nothing else, call just to hear it. It will instantly make you want to order something. Once I reached a real person, I explained my situation, that I wouldn't be able to come in beforehand, I needed a beautiful cookie tray for about 14-16 people, and I had a few must have preferences. Without hesitation, they said, "We got you." I was assured it would be ready when I landed on Xmas eve. Sure enough, after my partner picked me up from the airport, we headed straight to The Sicilian Baker. Parking right out front, a huge plus. As soon as you pull in, you're greeted with Frank Sinatra playing, not just inside, but even in the parking lot. It sets the tone immediately. We walked in, gave my name, and within minutes a lovely young person brought out my tray. Ten minutes later, we were on our way. Easy. Efficient. Warm service that made me actually grab a small box of cookies to drop my besties home on the way outta there. I didn't even realize at first that there's a sit down restaurant next door where you can relax and enjoy something. Great to know for next time ;) . Now, let's talk about the cookies. Yes, they are on the pricier side, but every single dollar was worth it. The tray was robust. Classic Italian pastries across the board like lobster tails, tri-colored almond cakes, cannolis, and all the favorites you hope for when you're trying to impress a room full of potential inlaws. And impress it did. The moment I walked in with that tray, it was a hit. People were already claiming which pastries they wanted, plotting what they'd take home, and hovering before dinner was even finished. There was more than enough for 16 people, grand is the only word for it, which is my style 1,000%. To this day, they're still talking about those cookies which makes me phenomenally proud (and humbled). I say this in all my reviews, "I hate almost everything. I'm discerning. I'm critical. And when something truly represents what I stand for - quality, authenticity, and heart, I will shout it from the rooftops". The Sicilian Baker delivered New York level excellence in Phoenix! Do not walk, runswiftly to this place if you need a gift, a show stopping dessert, or simply want to treat yourself. I cannot wait to go back. Highly, highly recommended.
