I'm not coming back here. Found Machi Tea House on Yelp and decided to try it out. The drinks on their menu don't list what they come with. Sis got a Lychee Green Tea, and I got the Dragon Fruit Cheese Foam (added Lychee Jelly for $1 more). When we ordered, we said to add Brown Honey Boba to the Lychee drink. There wasn't any in it. We asked about it, and instead of making it right, the lady (maybe the owner) scoffed and said something along the lines of, "All the drinks come with toppings." If you look at the menu, they literally just LIST the drinks with prices. How would you know the Lychee Green Tea comes with the jelly? And what if you wanted it plain? We asked for them to look at the receipt, but the lady at the counter just became argumentative until we said nevermind because we didn't wanna deal with it. As we walked out, the lady was still arguing with us. The girl who took our order wasn't any help. She just stood there watching. Whatevs. My drink tasted okay at first, but as it started to melt, it didn't taste like anything but ice. The prices are average, and the place is clean. However, the drinks are mediocre, and if they're going to argue about the drinks claiming they "come with toppings," then maybe they should put up a NEW menu showing what comes in each drink. It's as simple as that. Go if you dare, but we won't be back. Sorry, not sorry! read more

I thought I might like this place. I went in with an open mind and fingers crossed, hoping this place might be good. But I was wrong. I ordered 4 drinks total. All different flavors and all tasted like water. The mango and watermelon smoothies were bland. My coffee milk tea was so disappointing. I've tried other coffee milk teas from other places. But this tasted nothing like coffee. Just water with boba and ice. I asked about it, and they said they couldn't do anything because that's how the drink was measured. The place is cute though. My husband and I just moved to the area for his work and I honestly wanted to cry because there aren't any popular boba shops in the area. As soon as I parked in the Safeway parking lot and saw this gem, a huge part of me lit up because BOBA!!!! Especially in this little town?! First of all, can we talk about the decor and ambiance of this place?! For a mom and pop shop, I really admire the effort they put into the inside decor of their boba shop. They offer you not-out-of-the-ordinary boba flavors, so if you're simple gal like me wanting milk tea, fresh taro or avocado with boba, this place will not disappoint! So cool things I'd really love to see in this boba shop would be some cool snacks like an egg waffle or calamari. They do have "popcorn chicken" but it's not the usual Thai Basil popcorn chicken you would have in most boba shops you see in California. First time at Machi Tea House, and unfortunately, the experience was really disappointing. I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes--no greeting, no "I'll be right with you," nothing. The staff saw me but didn't acknowledge me once, so I finally had to speak up and ask if they were hiring. Instead of a simple, respectful answer, I got a dirty look and a blunt, "Sorry, we're not hiring," No thanks for stopping by, no conversation, just dismissiveness. Customer service like that really sets the tone, and sadly, this visit made me feel unwelcome and undervalued. Definitely not the kind of vibe that makes you want to come back. read more

This place hands down has the best boba tea around! I've been to several places in different states and this is one of the Best! I love the quality of the Tea that is brewed fresh every morning, the drinks are always spot on. The place is so cute and clean. The customer service is inviting and so friendly. This has become my everyday place to enjoy a nice refreshing drink, my favorite is the Lychee green tea! I have 3 young boy's that enjoy the drinks also. What a lovely, clean venue! The staff was patient and helpful as we perused the options and sizes. We both tried the Thai Milk Tea with brown sugar boba. Yummy! My husband likes their octopus balls (not my thing,!). We spent time chatting. They are really proud of their ingredients - all fresh, no powders. The framed pet pictures are adorable- if you post a cute picture of your pet on their Facebook or Instagram account, it could be selected for display when they rotate photos. Excited that Casa Grande had a boba tea option but wasn't impressed. Drink prices are on the higher side. I always order a jasmine tea with foam. Was pretty disappointed that the drink did not come with much foam on top at all, usually a drink of this size comes with a larger foam topping. The tea itself was also more watery. read more

DO NOT USE YOUR ATM/DEBT CARD HERE!! If I COULD I GIVE -0 STARS !!! ALL BASE HOW THE OWNER/ FEMALE MANAGER CONDUCTED HERSELF WHEN CONFRONTED OVER CHARGING CUSTOMERS. My daughter and I went here on 8/8/24 and they CHARGED MY ATM CARD $30.34 for 2 drinks.?????!!! I am disabled so I sent my daughter in to order the drinks and gave her my debt card to pay for them . Like any of us parents we give instructions to our kids when dealing with money or debt cards. Keep mind I also have a receipt from the transaction. My daughter wanted to be nice and tip her the 15% which was $1.95 in which is reasonable but NOT $16.77 . So contacted them the following day to correct this and no one retuned my call ( surprise) nor answered . So today I called them and told them that I did not authorize the charge of $30.34 and it needed to be fixed, the owner/ manager said they would not because my daughter signed the receipt and if she has permission to used the card she had permission to sign I which is incorrect. Mind you she was very much disregarded what the situation was and was extremely RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL , she was also very argumentative. I told the owner / female manager that it is illegal to expect anyone signature even for a tip if it's not the same name as the card holder it would be FRAUDULENT , so she WILLING CHARGE MY ATM CARD A TIP FOR HERSELF .. All this information that I'm telling this owner/ female manager was directly from the bank . You would think as an owner you would know better to take a tip that's WAYYYYYY MORE THAN WHAT IS EVEN WAS CHARGED FOR THE DAM DRINKS . We called the bank with a stop payment to this ESTABLISHMENT because if they are willing as an owner not wanting to fix what is immorally and ethically unacceptable and way WRONG to take money from a child like she did so as a business owner the public should know how they conduct business. So you have been warned !!! You would think as a Christian/ Veteran business owner morally they would do better but clearly not . It's a business and the service and quality are A+, and the prices aren't as bad, I just think people in CG aren't used to it.Brown sugar milk tea is highly recommended and my kids loved the Oreo!! We love Machi Tea House! My family has been going here for years and it is our favorite place to get a cool drink. The owner and her staff are lovely! Every time we go, it's like going home as the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is friendly and the owner really cares about her patrons and their family! She uses organic fruits in the fruit drinks and has even recommended healthy alternatives for me as she knows I've been fighting with some health concerns so I can still have a treat that fits my dietary needs! I love this place! And if you are looking for a snack rather than awesome boba or tea drinks, my family loves the Takoyaki, Gyoza, and popcorn chicken snack items. But our favorite drinks are the Oreo Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Mango Bubble Tea, Peach Oolong Tea, Strawberry Smoothie with the Strawberry Boba, and the Real Taro Milk Tea (made with fresh taro unlike the purple powders other companies use-yummm!!!)! We have gone here about 6 times, and did not like the high prices, but will no longer be returning because they just raised all their prices on their drinks. I refuse to pay $6.00 for a milk and tea, and $6.00 for a plain smoothie. I understand inflation is hitting everyone, but pay raises are not, which means I will start making my own milk and tea at home. Maybe if this business did away with their fancy cups they would not have to overcharge customers. I owned an espresso business for many years, and the cost of milk and tea is not so inflated that a cup of coffee or tea must be $6.00. The business can make adjustments on their products to keep prices at a minimum and customers happy. Putting that cost on customers is a surefire way to lose a business. read more
