I will no longer spend my money or waste my time going back. 1st location on NW Loop 410. Pros: Bahama Bucks is still open during the Pandemic. It is drive through only. Cons: There was about 10+ vehicles in the drive through that wrapped around the building at 9 pm on a Friday. We waited for about 45 minutes before being able to put in our order. There was about 2 employees there that I can visibly see and the service was very slow due to short staff. Why the 2 stars: while I really appreciate this Bahama Bucks location being open but I deducted 3 stars due to the quality of the snow cones was not up to par like the other locations I visited. This is the second time I visit this location in the past week and the syrup was not poured to cover the ice shaved entirely through. There was a big gap and section of shaved ice that was just plain shaved ice. This happened to 3 of our avalanche size snows. :""( I thought this was just an oppsy but when it happens consecutively back to back, it's definitely a big no no in my book. Despite the bad experience I will still suppor LT Bahama Bucks because they make pretty good snowcones when made right. Came to this location based on stars from Yelp. Bad first impression. Employees are immature and not efficient. Too much socializing instead of focusing on customers. The employee had no product knowledge and said he personally did not try anything because "I am picky." Floors were so sticky, I will be tracking all that into my car. As for the product, it was ok. Today I had went late this morning with my kids. The experience was great. The staff was friendly, professional and the establishment wasnt busy @ all. The place was clean. I had ordered a small strawberry shaved ice, my daughter got a small blue raspberry and my son got a small strawberry banana calypso. We had noticed the flavor of the day and I was intrigued so I asked for a sample.... it was sour patch.... well let's just say it lived up to its name but I loved it. This location recently opened this past week. The owners (or operators) from the Jones Maltsberger location came to re-open this one. We moved into the area back in January 2019 and were super bummed to see it was closed. So glad to have it reopened! The drinks are awesome as expected! The sour patch sauce taste like liquid sour patch kids and the pina colada tastes just like a virgin pina colada. And yes, we got our punch card. *** Check the center of your snow cones before you leave the drive thru - it might be white ice. *** Feels like i just left a weather alert. LOL ! Welp - normally this place is like Heaven on earth with color changing spoons but last night was quite different.. I had been shopping at Petco and came across the street to get a snow cone since I saw there was only 1 vehicle in line as i was pulling out of the side entrance -- it's hardly ever like that once it starts getting warm. I was feeling lucky and damn sure wanted some flavored ice ! They have added a few new things to the menu that I saw.. the Macaroon snow cones were the first thing I saw. Not my cup of tea but if it's yours -- they can accommodate. :) I ordered a medium snow cone with half peach and half super sour apple. MY FAVE !!! I got it and took a couple bites into the top and it kinda tasted a bit weird... that was because there was no peach or apple syrup on the entire center of my snow cone. It was completely white ice. :| Now if this was an ultra busy night and they had 50-11 people in the drive thru and it was packed inside I might could excuse this as it being rushed... but there was NO ONE in front of me when I got in line to order and the line was still empty when I pulled off. Not acceptable. They also took quite some time in the drive thru which made it even more unacceptable that they messed up my snow cone. I actually had to dig out a little less than half of my snow cone due to it not being edible because it was just plain white ice shavings. Ugghhh !! I added a picture for proof. I have to dock this place a few stars. The employees don't seem to be capable of listening here. I often come for flavored sodas but it's been all downhill lately. The last three times they have put so much syrup in that you couldn't even taste the soda and I end up tossing the drink out. One of the last times I went I asked for a LITTLE blue coconut and raspberry to be added to a coke, repeating that I just wanted a little, not too much. And what I ended up with was a joke (see picture). It was awful. How hard is it to add just a little syrup to a coke? And when I do get shaved ice it's an awful mess. Do any of the Bahama Bucks in town have drive thru's? If not, then this one is my favorite. It has a drive thru. If you're like me and you find yourself collecting the stamp cards, some how you end up having 6 incomplete cards. If you combine them then you can get a free drink- they'll let you get away with it here. Heck, one time a guy combined them and gave me a new one with the right amount of stamps just to make sure I had just one card. He was so nice! I have never had anything I didn't absolutely love from BB. It's like their shaved ice is filtered water from heaven and put into a cup just for me, every time! My favorites are the coconut shaved ice (blue tongue and all) and the mango smoothie turned mangonada. Make that official. Quit playing with us by calling it a mango smoothie; add chamoy and chili salt. Love this place. Come here often, but not when I'm in the drive thru because I hate waiting. read more

This place is pretty great. Coming from New Orleans where snowballs are a thing, this place comes pretty close. It seems like hundreds of flavors and many are sugar free as well which is great because I'm diabetic. They also have super sour flavors which is pretty cool too. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. It is a little bit of a wait to get your shaved ice but it's worth in. In a land that is as warm as San Antonio, it's always nice to have a place to cool down. Since it's so close to home, I look forward to coming back. read more

If you're wanting a good snow cone from here, I suggest going to the bahama bucks in the live oak area. I went to this location and sadly I'm not trying to be rude, but there were only ghetto kids running the store. I was looking at the person who was making the ice and the girl just had ice already in a bucket and was scooping it with her own hands and literally had the sink running the entire time to clean up her mess because all she did was just cut it with her hands and throw it in there and all of our tropical cream was at the bottom. She gave us a lot of syrup, and when I went to Live Oak area, the girl just was like perfectly you know had the ice machine going constantly on the queue, letting the ice fall naturally inside the cup effortlessly as she was working the other girl just had everything in a bucket in the ice was already soggy. I really wanted a snowcone quickly, so we went to Bahama Bucks. They had many more options than I expected. I got a classic snowcone with ice cream and their tropical creme. I love the texture of the ice. It doesn't really stick to itself, and it very smooth. The strawberry flavor is great, and the tropic cream adds a nice sweetness to the top. When you get further in, the mixing of the ice cream with the ice makes a great, tasty. and creamy texture. Good place for quick treats. Be aware that this location does not accept the Yelp coupon.
