This is our favorite course in Leelanau. The views are incredible and the course is always in great shape.

This is a top notch golf course. I have played a lot of courses throughout Michigan & this is definitely one of the most beautiful courses. It is somewhat hilly in places & you better have your A game. I really liked it but it is a tough course to play. Somewhat expensive but worth it for the true golfer in you. It is not for the beginner or someone who plays occasionally. It reminds me of the course treetops. But by far one of my favorites. The course epitomizes "Up North" golf at it's finest! The terrain has been largely shaped by the last "Ice Age", leaving moraines and drumlins that have been fashioned into a fantastic golf course . The elevation changes are dramatic and provide panoramic views of both the course and surrounding Leelanau Co. countryside. The course is in beautiful shape and has been meticulously maintained. An absolute hidden gem. A challenge on every hole and the panoramic views are incredible.

My only beef with Bahle Farms is the placement of many of the holes, which are often cut on slopes or in the most challenging part of the green. As if they are hosting day 4 of a PGA tournament and not mainly amateur golfers. Cost me several easy pars or birdies, as the close miss rolled 10' down the hill, rather than a tap in par or bogey. You'd think the owners would want their clients to enjoy good scores, rather than frustration and annoyance. You know, so they'd WANT to come back? Aside from that, the course is the best one in NW Michigan, in my opinion. They finally have owners who know marketing and advertising. Oh, the traps. Many need additional sand, so that they aren't an anagram, a "tarp trap". The canvas is showing through in a number of them and it's hard hitting decent sand shots consistently. Fun, challenging, but forgiving at the same time. Lots of elevation and great views. Fix a couple of issues and it's a world class golf course. read more

Gotta be honest, this was a horrible experience. I really hope this was just a fluke and not what the new owners have in mind (don't even know if the sale is finalized yet or not). The course was in good shape, but that is the extent of the pros. Tuesday afternoon tee time that we made in advance. Found out when we got to the clubhouse that they 'are not able to serve alcohol at the current time' and the driving range was closed. That sucks and we probably would have made a tee time elsewhere if they let us know when we called, but whatever, things sometimes just happen. Come to find out, they don't have their liquor license yet (is what we were told), so they knew ahead of time and just didn't tell us. On top of that, our round took almost 5 hours and there was never a single hole or shot that we didn't have to wait several several minutes. And it wasn't just us. There were several groups waiting behind us as well. What is the point of making/requiring tee times if you're just going to operate at 150% course capacity? This has been our go-to course for a few years now so, again, hopefully this was just a fluke occurrence, but it definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. read more

I went and hit the driving range and then went in the clubhouse to check on rates. They informed me that they didn't have a rate sheet and the the price to play depended on how busy they were, what time of the day it was, what day of the week it was, etc. they it could range from $55-$115 for a round pending on how they feel what to charge at that moment. I just moved to the area a year ago and I live 10 minutes away. I am sure it is a nice course but don't like being charged more for my round then the guy who played an hour earlier or hour later pending on how the feel the rate should be at that time. No way do I play at a place where they take advantage of you. read more

This place was great. Incredible changes in elevation. Big greens but tiered greens. Bring your camera.

This course is very challenging and unconventional. Fairways and greens were meticulously maintained. Each hole has a different challenge and only a few holes are straight on. One thing I was disappointed about was that there was no map on the scorecard or at each hole to understand its layout. Since most tee shots are blind to the green, it was difficult to navigate where to drive the ball. read more

Played at Bahle Farms a couple of times a year with my sons and friends. Played on September 23 and they were setting up for the Big hole event for Saturday. So Friday I was told after I paid that the pins would be in all the big holes for a practice round for the big hole players. No flags in the regulation holes. That was ridicules. That is terrible customer service. All they had to do to not tick off half of there customers that day was put two different color flags in the holes. I heard allot of grumbling as I went around the course. And since the play was super slow I had plenty of time to hear it. Their answer was "Sorry to hear you feel that way" The course is fine (kind of gimmicky though). They lost several customers forever but by their attitudes it doesn't matter to them. Good luck with your big hole outing next year. I will find a course where customer service is number 1. read more

This is one of my favorite courses in Northern Michigan. It is quite a treat to play all around.

Bahle Farms is by far the finest and most fun course to play in NW Michigan and I've played most of them. The elevations, orchards, woods, and views make Bahle Farms pure golfing pleasure. It is also more forgiving than you might think. The Bear at the TC Resort has nothing on this course. Anyone visiting the Traverse City area should definitely play a round here and it is located only about 10 miles N of the city. read more

This course is truly amazing. It's better than the resort courses in the area by far. This course truly is the Up-North course to rule them all. I would say best course in the Leelanau Peninsula / Traverse City area for sure and definitely in the top 5 for Northern Michigan. Don't ever pass up a chance to play here read more
