Took two of my sons here on separate occasions for foot pain. Dr. Bailey explained everything perfect. My son's foot pain came to a stop with some adjustments with shoe inserts. My other son was given a boot and a referral for physical therapy as well as some follow up appointments. Very professional staff and listen when I billing issues. Explained reasons really well.

They wanted to take a photocopy of my military ID for insurance purposes and I explained to them it is against federal law. The front staff openly admitted that they do it all the time. I handed my ID over so they can write down any information they needed but not make a photocopy. They insisted they needed to make a copy regardless of that action being against the law (Title 18, US Code Part I, Chapter 33, Section 701) so they refused to see me. I gladly left because any establishment that is willing to violate a federal law is questionable. Who knows what other laws they're willing to violate. read more

We love Dr. McPherson! She has treated both my husband and 3 year old daughter. My husband received excellent care for his plantar fasciaitis. She was excellent with my 3 year old daughter. Dr. McPherson was thorough, but made sensible and age appropriate treatment decisions for her. 3 year olds can be difficult, but Dr. was animated and so very sweet with her. If I could I would give them 0 stars!!!! I get to the doctors office at 9:50 for a 10:00 appt. there is a girl sitting there -about 15 minutes and the receptionist says-I'm sorry but your appt isn't until 2:45 today/but we are going to try to squeeze you in-so they called her in before me and I am still sitting there at 10:50 and still hadn't seen the doctor!!!! We used Dr Bailey for my husband who had a Jones fracture on his foot. Dr Bailey was very straight forward with his opinions but not pushy at all. We tried putting surgery off and letting it heal naturally but as Dr Bailey felt in the beginning might be the case. It did not work and he ended up having the surgery. Dr Baileys surgery went well and followup care was great. The nurses were nice and I have had no issues yet with billing or staff. I would recommend this office and Dr to my friends and family. read more

I can't say enough positive things about my experience with Bailey Foot and Ankle Specialists and in particular Dr. Christopher Bailey. I had a chronic bunion issue I had been dealing with for years and I had seen many different podiatrists. I chose Dr. Bailey and his team because they took the time on my first visit to discuss my condition and all of my options. It was the first time any podiatrist had taken the time to fully explain the condition and what could be done about it. Dr. Bailey is very professional and knowledgeable. He explains your condition in a manner you can understand. His staff were also very helpful. Liz, his nurse, was a big part of my treatment and I always am greeted by a smiling face in Laura at the front desk. They have a very nice stand alone facility in Plainfield with easy access and great hours. After weighing all options I chose to have surgery for my bunion with Dr. Bailey and the surgery as well as the post-operative period went exactly as he said it would. My foot is much better off and I am very happy with the results. The surgery cost much less than I expected as well. I cannot recommend this doctor and his staff enough. If you have a problem with your feet, call them! read more

This guy is a total scam artist! All he cares about is billing your insurance company- he does not care about the patient. Beware.

Everything was going fine with Dr. McPherson until we discussed medication.She prescribed Norco after we had a lengthy discussion on the differences between that, Vicodin, and Tylenol 3. We wrapped up the consultation and thirty seconds later I was given a prescription for a different medication than we just discussed. When I asked if I could ask why she made the sudden change, I was told she went in with another patient and I was out of luck and ushered out of the office. A few weeks later, I requested a refill to the prescription via Walgreens and the office/doctor couldn't be bothered to give them a response. Another week later and I got a message from them saying they couldn't be bothered and to ask whatever orthopedist I went to. Sorry, I went to you for help with my still hurting ankle only to have you act like you had better things to do. For some reason, it was like they couldn't be bothered to help me because I wasn't a regular customer. That was the impression I got at least. Kinda ironic that I got the bill from their office the same day that they refused to refill my subscription. Thanks for nothing. read more

Very frustrating experience. I waited almost 40 minutes for the appointment, and met with the doctor for about 5 minutes before he immediately ordered x rays on both feet. Looked at the x rays and said, yeah,I have no idea, we will send you to a specialist and then charged me $200.00. The specialist he referred me to performed tests and then after repeated attempts to get the test results from the specialist and/or Bailey I never received the response or the test results. So a waste of time and money-I could have gone on WebMD and saved myself the trouble. read more

I echo the previous reviewers comments..Dr. Bailey is very nice and seems very knowledgeable but the wait times are unacceptable and the billing is a MESS.. I've had to call several times to get my bills straight.. 4 of my payments were not posted and when I called the office to tell them I made at least two of the payments in the office the receptionist argued with me! I had to go through my bank statements to prove I made the payments! I can understand one error but four! Also the inserts for my sons flat feet were expensive and do NOT help... read more

This guy needs bedside manners. He can be very rude and arrogant! My cast got wet and it was soft and he accused me of walking on my leg when I didn't! I needed another surgery and he said that he didn't think he would do it since I didn't want to follow directions! I am so glad he said that as I found a much nicer Dr. to go to. He really did me a HUGE favor! His staff are not the nicest either. I am tired of waiting when I had appointments with him. I found a much nicer specialist in Plainfield! I've seen Dr. McPherson in hopes of curing my planter facetious issue in my right foot. Long story short I'm 600 dollars poorer and my foot is in the same condition as I started. To be fair she did tell me if to come back if my foot was still hurting. However, I could not justify spending anymore money especially since I have yet to see any improvements. read more

Dr. Bailey has treated both myself and my daughter for various foot issues. Great bedside manner and I appreciate his conservative approach to things. Probably the most interesting part of his treatment is where he goes through your various options and explains the pros and cons of each option and lets you be a part of the decision. Unfortunately I am wired to be very critical and expect the highest level of service. That being said this practice is a homerun they were outstanding. read more

Just finished up at my first apt today! I was a bit nervous and didn't know what to expect. I am an avid soccer player and and my feet were killing me. I was immediately put at ease by the staff. So I went for a foot problem I was having. I'm middle aged and not overweight. Had xrays then saw Dr. McPherson. She was extremely nice; however, she said right away that I would need surgery to correct my problem. Being it was my first time there & only talking to her a few minutes, I questioned if their were any other options. She said I could try an insert in my shoe but it would be costly & it would not resolve the problem. She then said I would need to come back to meet with Dr. Bailey. Asked why & she said he does all the surgeries. Ok.....well I felt that was kind of a waste of time if I need to meet with another doctor there. I suppose I should have just seen him & could have saved some money. I asked if surgery would be done at Edwards and she said their not affiliated with them. What?? You're in North Plainfield and not affiliated with Edwards? That made up my mind to see another doctor for a second opinion. read more
