We reached out to him in January of 2025 asking if he had time to help us build a wall in our entryway sometime that year. He said yes, came over to look at our space, and charged us $100. Since then, he has done barely anything and it is now August of 2026. He has had a couple of conversations with us, said he would come back over for final measurements but never did, sent us a couple of AI rendered photos, claimed he was discussing with his door supplier, changed his business email without telling us so we had to dig for it months later after he disappeared (which he does for months at a time). He quoted $10,000 and said it could go up to $15,000. We told him we budgeted $15,000 but to let us know if the costs would be higher... we weren't fighting him on costs. We were kind and incredibly patient. We were hoping to find someone who could ultimately help us with renovating a kitchen and two bathrooms. We were willing to wait for a quality contractor, but I am appalled at the poor service we have received. Stringing us along for over a year and a half is unacceptable and unprofessional. If he hadn't been recommended by the designer, I would think he was scamming people with fake consults. I'd look elsewhere if you value your time. I feel like a bit of a fool for wasting so much of mine.

Excuses about being really busy, out doing bids, at lunch so on and so forth. The last time I tried was 2 weeks ago and I gave up. Most unprofessional way of handling my business. I made a very bad mistake trusting Vern Sneed of Q Cabins/Design Horizons to do what he said he…read morecould. He said he would make and install one of his smaller Nautilus Q Cabins for $100k. Price of cabin kit was $56k and it seemed fair to me. So far, I've paid him well over $120k and STILL DO NOT HAVE A CABIN and have also paid other contractors over $34k to complete or fix what I paid him to do originally. He is known as being dishonest amongst other folks I've spoken to and I have also heard the same from people he has worked alongside in the past. I have tried to pry the parts missing from the incomplete Q Cabin Kit to no avail. He acted as if the kit came with an interior when my wife and I sat down with him to design it. That conversation was another lie in order to get more money out of us. Buyer beware! The kit he sells comes with two or three walls and a pile of small sections of metal which must be assembled for the roof, a couple buckets of screws, some windows and doors. The plastic wrap on the walls costs extra, no inside walls, no spiral staircase which he said comes with the kit, no floor... The plans provided are filled with unclear issues and material schedules. He said the foundation would be around $25k but came back after getting a downpayment to say it would cost over $100k!!!! Then, when pressed about wanting money over the cost of the original agreement, he came back with a quote of $275,000 to $300,000 not including the cost of the kit. A far cry from the $100k original quote. I think this guy should be in jail. I found out he has over seven previous lawsuits and a bankruptcy in his past. Unless he pays us back for what he has weaseled out of us, we are taking him to court. In addition, we are going to create a website illustrating and explaining just how bad this guy and his product really is (in our opinion of course). I see he has changed his website to clarify a few misconceptions about his product. Three years ago, when I first started with this dude there was nothing but pretty pictures falsifying what you were going to get for your money. Don't buy anything from this guy is my advice.

I would never suggest that anyone use Ginnos Construction after the poor customer service we experienced and the lack of concern for our personal property.
