    While we were very satisfied with the quality of our custom patio cover and the installation…read moreprocess in 2021, we have since encountered several challenges with customer service and communication regarding warranty repairs. A couple of years after installation, water began leaking from one side of the drain area, staining the cement. After multiple attempts to contact the company, the issue was eventually addressed one month after my initial outreach. More recently, in summer 2025, one of the large side panels came loose. I contacted Justin immediately in mid-August and sent photos as requested, but despite being told it was a simple fix, I received no follow-up. I reached out several times via text, email, and phone, yet as of October 1st, I still have not received a timeline for scheduling the repairs. I would appreciate a clear timeline for repairs and more consistent updates regarding the status of my warranty claims. Implementing a dedicated customer service contact or an automated repair scheduling system could help prevent delays and improve communication. We truly enjoyed our initial experience and hope that future service aligns with the high standards set during installation. Leaving customers in limbo does not reflect well on your business, and I look forward to seeing improvements in these areas.

Granted not a high paying job for the company but still something they came out to look at helping with. It's been 3 weeks and no return to my calls or text messages and no quote was ever sent over. I get that I'm not buying an expensive pergola or gazebo but would appreciate a heads up. I have since reached out to other providers and am working with them on a quote. I would have loved to have work with California patios as they were helpful in the brief time we talked.

This company has this archaic way of doing business only if both owers are present. This is complete garbage. The estimator not only made my wife feel small and the intimation verged on sexism. The business practices here are condescending to say the least. They don't respect you.

My project was a month late, so I called to find out problem. Secretary was rude because I said Scott (apparently the RUDE OWNER) told me 2 weeks! Scott can't keep his flapping trap shut long enough for me to get in 2 words He was like the interrupting COW on steroids I couldn't finish 1 sentence without him rudely interrupting me, saying What is it you want, or no I didn't, or what's the problem? Well if he could shut the trap for 2 secs, I was trying to explain that BOTH MY PARENTS were in Hospital!! The Job was at my parents for a roll in shower because MOM couldn't even have a shower for a month! Bed baths ONLY! SHE was TRAUMITIZED from the Camp Fire almost burning them ALIVE, so with them in hospital, I'd Like them to GET THE JOB DONE! But good old Scott just kept interrupting me, then HUNG UP ON ME! I called the office back to find out who owner was and report Scott's behavior! A guy answered the phone. I said (nicely) Hi I was hoping to get the owners name I hear the Secretary hollering at him to just hang up and Scott will call me back GUY sais: Scott will call you back! I said: I don't want to speak to Scott, I'd like the owners name. Secretary YELLS at him and the GUY HANGS UP ON ME!! WTF?? So Scott calls back. He informs me HE is the Owner!! I said...well SCOTT 1st off, Your and your company are the RUDEST people I've ever met!! All you do is interrupting me (by the way..he kept interrupting as I'm speaking..again!) I finally said. You know WHAT? Since you like to TALK SO MUCH, how about YOU go 1st. I'll SHUT UP and Listen and when your ALL DONE, let me know, so I can actually tell you what my concerns are?? He said I looked at Calendar and Thanksgiving is coming, so after Thanksgiving Umm No. That's not going to work for me. I've waited and waited, was lied to and now you have supplies, so I need it done before parents return home. He hung up on MEWTF? In ALL my Life I've NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH OBNOXIOUS, RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Even if I was an angry customer, which I wasn't! I was exhausted, laying in bed, not yelling, not raising my voice, just simply trying to get a promised job done! The ONLY reason they got a 1 star and not a - (negative) 5 star was because I called Payroll and actually got a woman who showed me respect and talked kindly to me to try and work the situation out. I informed her that LEGALLY a construction Co can ONLY collect 10% or $1,000 if 10% is less than a $1,000. Her "Guy" who works for the Company had called me 2 weeks or so prior to ask if my Dad was gonna be home. He thought the contact number was my Dad. He was headed over to demand another payment! This is ILLEGAL!! There were NO materials on the JOB!! SO can not collect MORE MONEY! LUCKILY my Dad was with it enough to know this is illegal! He was a contractor and knows the law. She said she would look at calendar and try to accommodate. She ALSO of course passed the conversation on to Good Ol SCOTT (THE RUDE OWNER) He then called me back said he REFUSED to do the Job (perhaps because he is a thief and I CAUGHT HIM IMO) and said he refused to do the job! He said and I quote: It's too HARD of a job anyway Too hard?? It's taking out a bathtub and putting in a roll in shower, which is LITERALLY WHAT THEY DO! HE originally told me it was a Piece of CAKE! THEY do these JOBS ALL THE TIME!! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! HE CLAIMED he was mailing my Dad his $1,000 back, that day!! That was 4 days ago and STILL NOTHING! I KNOW this review is Long. I know they will LIE and try to say it was me. But Trust me...I KNOW when I'm being a bitch, or rude, or sassy. I'm very self aware of my actions and ALWAYS the 1st to admit it. However, in this case..NO! These people are off the HOOK!
