I have been using Tails n' Trails for about two years now for my pup Edison and I've yet to be disappointed. Services are well priced and the staff is knowledgeable and professional. For the past few months "we" have been walking with Calia and her amazing companion Jasper. Not only does Edison come home happy, exhausted, and, socialized..I swear he comes home just a little more well behaved. Their ability to work with your schedule, be flexible, and simply just go above and beyond is what prompted this review. About a week and a half ago my mother broke her fibula and ankle, sweeping her off her feet for at least 2 months. I contacted Calia after 5pm on a Saturday and before my mother was even discharged, Cali was able to rework my walks and help get my mothers dogs (new clients) on the schedule for walks and check ins. She brought a sense of calm to a very hectic situation; I was incredibly grateful for that. We will be furever part of the Tails n Trails family. read more

Carolina came to my house for a consultation. She met my two dogs, one 5 year old pit and an 8 week old pit. My dogs took to her right away and she was really sweet with them! We were incredibly disappointed in our experience with Tails n Trails. After reading numerous online reviews, we were initially excited at the prospect of our 6-month old lab puppy staying with Carolina for 10 days while we were out of the country. Unfortunately our experience was quite awful and we'd caution potential clients to think twice before choosing Tails n Trails. Given that our dog is still a puppy, we proactively arranged a meet and greet with Carolina and a member of her team roughly 3 weeks before our trip to discuss any concerns they may have. During the course of that two hour visit Carolina and her team determined that our dog would do great and they'd be happy to board him. Five days into our trip, while on the other side of the world, we were informed that Tails n Trails would no longer watch our dog and we would need to find alternate accommodations. This was based on a few purported accidents our dog had in their house, which came as news to us since he is house trained. The last minute notice was a terrifying experience as we had to coordinate a safe and comfortable emergency boarding option while traveling. Ultimately we feel that any accidents or issues were likely a result of a lack of attention and care provided to our dog during the stay. Along with several bite marks, our dog also came home with a bacterial infection, which our vet said would have caused increased urination (i.e. the "accidents" he was having). One final item that we would like to share was from our initial meet and greet with Carolina, which we should have noticed as a red flag. Her home was quite messy with trash & food leftover from a dinner party the night before (our dog found a slice of pizza on the floor) and smelled of marijuana. We tried to look past these details based upon the online reviews and everything that was discussed, but as the saying goes, hindsight is 20-20. Needless to say we will not use Tails n Trails again, and would caution other potential clients to explore other options. read more

I highly recommend Tails n' Trails. Carolina treats my dog like it's her own. She has given me so much advice on how to care for my energetic one-year old lab/border collie mix, Benny. For example, she recommended that I use a gentle leader when walking him. Since using the gentle leader, Benny no longer pulls on the leash on walks. My 130 lb family dog was staying in Providence with me while my parents were on vacation, and I think he had the best 2 weeks of his life with Carolina and her pups.
