Don't walk...run to this gem. Hands down the best restaurant in The Villages, Florida. Amazing…read moreservice (Shauna - bar), food and views. I had two apps - the tuna and the fish dip. Both delicious. My only (minor) suggestion is for the tuna, use thicker chips, as the topping are all wet. The chips were saturated- but still delish! Such a great spot. A+++

My mom was out of town so my dad and I went for an early Father's Day celebration. Unfortunately, it was one of the kitchen's off nights as the calamari which is normally cooked perfectly came out rubbery and overdone. Wait staff offered to have the kitchen remake it but my dad wasn't sure it would come out any better the second time, depending on how the kitchen was timing or judging the cook. He opted to get the voodoo pasta which I had ordered as well. The chicken in the voodoo pasta was also overdone and on the chewy side due. Pasta sauce was definitely bland in comparison to the sauce from a special the week prior that our same waiter had said was actually the voodoo sauce. Sad that nothing came out how we'd hoped, especially on a celebration day. One last note for readers: the dining room to the back right of the restaurant is extremely loud and hard to hear even those you are dining with, regardless of the number of tables filled.

First time eating at the Lighthouse Bar and Grill. We have been there before for drinks. We…read morestarted with a cup of Clam Chowdah $7.20. It was very good and had allot of flavor. We ordered the Lobster Roll with mayo and the Clam Plate. The Lobster was $45.00. It was a generous portion and it was very fresh. The only complaint would be we ordered it with mayo and it came out plain. It came with fries and coleslaw which was very good. The Full Belly Fried Clam Plate $33.00. Was good, the portion could've been bigger. They had very good flavor, not as big as back in Boston. It also came with fries and coleslaw. We each had three drinks each. In all the bill was $146.00. Service was very good the bartenders were very friendly. We love the area overlooking lake Sumter. We will order food when we return and try something else.

Didn't know we could make reservations, but it didn't sound like those were very reliable on this particular night. The crab legs were GREAT--served alongside a generous helping of delicious fries. Never had to wait for a refill on the crab, as our bartender(s) checked in on us frequently. We were there for HH, so also enjoyed inexpensive drinks--Yuengling for hubby and white wine for me. Both Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay were good. Fun conversations with both staff and fellow diners. We will do this again, next time we are in the area.

I had previously really liked the Pool Bar Restaurant, but after my experience there yesterday, I…read moredon't think I will ever eat there again. I ordered the Cobb Salad. It arrived looking wonderful with nice chunks of turkey. I took a bite and also got some avocado that was very overripe. Took another bite, same thing, and then I realized there was no avocado! The turkey was as soft and mushy as an overripe avocado... it was absolutely disgusting and sickening! The server brought me a new salad made with chicken, instead of turkey & said the manager had been shown my salad. The manager did not bother to come speak with me. I was still upset and worried that I would be getting sick from the turkey, & called today to speak to the manager. He acknowledged that he should have come to the table & claimed there had been nothing wrong with the turkey beyond it had been sitting too long in brine.... I cannot imagine how many days sitting in brine it took to turn chunks of turkey breast into literal mush.

Drove over 30 minutes to try the BOGO burgers. Not sure it was worth the trip…read more I always assume "specials" are priced low (for what you get) to draw people in to try the place. There was just no wow factor in these burgers. Swiss muchroom burger had good flavor, but the burger itself was very small. They tried to hide it in an over sized bun. The bourbon burger had a funny taste, but same small burger. The coldslaw was a joke. Came in a plastic cup, with a lid and the cup was probably 1/3 of a measuring cup. TINY. The special drew me in, but it did not make a repeat customer out of me. $16 for one burger (out of the BOGO timing) is way over priced.
