Best seared ahi tuna salad in The Villages. Food was amazing and service was spectacular. Love the view of the lake and surrounding area. Good selection of seafood

First time eating at the Lighthouse Bar and Grill. We have been there before for drinks. We started with a cup of Clam Chowdah $7.20. It was very good and had allot of flavor. We ordered the Lobster Roll with mayo and the Clam Plate. The Lobster was $45.00. It was a generous portion and it was very fresh. The only complaint would be we ordered it with mayo and it came out plain. It came with fries and coleslaw which was very good. The Full Belly Fried Clam Plate $33.00. Was good, the portion could've been bigger. They had very good flavor, not as big as back in Boston. It also came with fries and coleslaw. We each had three drinks each. In all the bill was $146.00. Service was very good the bartenders were very friendly. We love the area overlooking lake Sumter. We will order food when we return and try something else.

Christmas Eve we called Lighthouse to make a reservation, but unfortunately they weren't taking any at the time. We had a large party of 13 plus an infant, so we expected a wait and it ended up being about 45 minutes to an hour. That said, the experience during the wait made all the difference. Our server didn't hesitate to take care of us while we waited. She kept the drinks coming, mojitos, Long Islands, Bahama Mamas, and cold beers all of which were great. She checked in on us often and made sure we were comfortable until we were finally seated. Once we sat down, she immediately put in the kids' orders, which we really appreciated. For appetizers, we ordered oysters and Boom Boom shrimp both were AMAZING. It was my first time ever trying oysters, and I loved them dressed with lemon, hot sauce, and horseradish on a cracker, while others had them plain and loved them just as much. The Boom Boom shrimp was cooked perfectly (not overdone at all), and the sauce was delicious. hands down my favorite appetizer back home so I have high expectations. For the main course, several of us ordered the all-you-can-eat crab legs and were not disappointed. The initial portion was generous, and the refills were just as big and came out quickly. Others ordered steak, which was juicy and cooked to the correct temperature. There were salad substitutions with salmon, and the fish tacos were also a big hit. Not a single person in our party was disappointed. Our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. When we come back to Florida, Lighthouse will absolutely be a must-visit every single time.

It seems like this restaurant is only doing business because it's on the water. The food is OK but leaves so much to be desired. It's a very casual spot. It's OK I guess and Service was OK I guess.

Food was really good but the service left a lot to be desired. We had to request refills frequently, and our check came out almost 10 minutes before the dessert we ordered. Otherwise, the Caesar salad was good but as you can tell from the bowl it was a bit dirty, burger was also good albeit soft, and the sundae was really tiny. If there hadn't been a woman at the bar cackling for the entirety of our meal, perhaps the inside ambiance wouldn't have been so terrible.

Nice place, not fancy at all. More like a bar inside but the outside seating is great. Being in the Florida heat, they keep fans working so it is very pleasant. The sunsets are breathtaking and the food was good. The service was great. We went there 2 days in a row and had different servers. Both were great. If I ever return to the Villages, I will definitely will stop by

    Dinner with family, very memorable!

I had previously really liked the Pool Bar Restaurant, but after my experience there yesterday, I…read moredon't think I will ever eat there again. I ordered the Cobb Salad. It arrived looking wonderful with nice chunks of turkey. I took a bite and also got some avocado that was very overripe. Took another bite, same thing, and then I realized there was no avocado! The turkey was as soft and mushy as an overripe avocado... it was absolutely disgusting and sickening! The server brought me a new salad made with chicken, instead of turkey & said the manager had been shown my salad. The manager did not bother to come speak with me. I was still upset and worried that I would be getting sick from the turkey, & called today to speak to the manager. He acknowledged that he should have come to the table & claimed there had been nothing wrong with the turkey beyond it had been sitting too long in brine.... I cannot imagine how many days sitting in brine it took to turn chunks of turkey breast into literal mush.

Drove over 30 minutes to try the BOGO burgers. Not sure it was worth the trip…read more I always assume "specials" are priced low (for what you get) to draw people in to try the place. There was just no wow factor in these burgers. Swiss muchroom burger had good flavor, but the burger itself was very small. They tried to hide it in an over sized bun. The bourbon burger had a funny taste, but same small burger. The coldslaw was a joke. Came in a plastic cup, with a lid and the cup was probably 1/3 of a measuring cup. TINY. The special drew me in, but it did not make a repeat customer out of me. $16 for one burger (out of the BOGO timing) is way over priced.

The clam chowder was also delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. The orders also came out in a very timely manner during peak lunch hours which means whether you want to sit down or to go, you won't have to wait no more than 15 minutes or so before having your food ready. A solid choice if you want a pound of steamers. Available until gone. Shared as an appetizer with dining partner. Ordered the catfish special. All food was fresh and hot. Catfish pretty good (not quite as crispy due to the batter used). I'm partial to a cornmeal rather than a traditional "fish and chip" batter with catfish. Still pretty good. Two large filets with a generous portion of French fries and coleslaw. The grilled salmon was also ordered. Very good, served with vegetables and coleslaw. Will definitely be back.
