I waited 7 months to write this review to ensure I did not have any issues after the work Roof Pro did. Early December 2023, heavy winds had blown off a vent on our roof that was no longer in use because we had changed out our AC and furnace. It left a hole in the roof and we were worried about the upcoming raining season. I had requested several quotes from several companies after Christmas and before the new year and I received a quick response from a couple companies and no response from others. Roof Pro responded immediately and followed up with a quote while one other company came out and didn't send me a quote until I asked for it because he forgot and another just no showed. My husband and I decided to go with Roof Pro because of Cesar Flores' quick response and customer service. His team took care of things a day or two after we accepted their quote. They were done in a few hours and took photos of their work and sent them to me. Their work was clean and did not leave a mess. The workers were respectful. I am happy with their service. I recently had Roof Pro did our roof. The project lasted for about a week. The crew came on time (even early), worked through the day without taking any breaks except lunch. They cleaned up everyday, making sure that there' no debris or nails around the property before they left for the day. They did an excellent job in addition to roof installation and to replace the damaged wood caused by termite. I was surprised that Cesar (the owner) and Tony even stopped by, personally inspected the job on the last day of the project to ensure everything was done right and up to par. Tony even circled back after the job was completed to make sure no trash, loose nails left around the property. I contacted Roof Pro last year when I found a minor water leak in the master bedroom after several heavy rains. Anthony Tatad answered my call shortly after I hired another roofing company to fix the leak as I was afraid more damage migh occur with the ongoing heavy rainpour. Tony was very knowledgeable and honest from the start, told me upfront there's a minimum charge to start the job (some other roofers didn't mention this but will tag on the additional cost right after the job had started). He also educated me what quality of underlayment should be used in order for the roof to last longer even though he didn't get my business at the time. I decided to circle back to him after noticing another water stain not too far from the spot that repair was done several months prior, and also another water mark on the ceiling in my daughter's room. He didn't try to sell me the service of replacing the whole roof. He offered to repair and replace that section along the 2 leaks at a lessor cost. However, I decided to redo the whole roof, afraid that there might be another leak(s) in the months ahead after each heavy rain. Tony noticed that most of the roof tiles were still in good shape, he then offered that they could relift and relay the tiles, replacing the underlayments underneath at a lower cost. I then mentioned and showed him that the warranty left by the previous roofer carried a 50 years warranty on the tile, but the leak occurred after 21 years. He offered 2 different quotes for my consideration, one to relift and replace by using existing tiles, and another one for replacing the roof with entire new tiles. I usually don't do reviews right after the project and would like to wait a little bit, but after observing their work, the contact with Tony and Cesar, I am totally confident and sure that they will honor their contract should any warranty issue comes up. It isn't often that one replaces a roof. There's many factors to consider. In my case, my old roof had reached its end of useful life. Shingles were missing, exposing damaged wood underneath. This was an opportunity (not merely to repair the roof) but also for me to enhance the curb appeal of my house. I did my research. I used an AI quote search based on size, location, and materials used. I spoke with people I knew who had recently replaced their roofs. By then, I had accurate knowledge of the range of prices I'd expect to pay for a roof to fit my house, and my budget. It's important to note that I am not infinitely wealthy. There was an upper limit to the amount of money I was willing to spend. I interviewed three roofing companies that I found on Yelp. The first one arrived in a company vehicle. He quoted me a price near the top of my budget. He showed me a sample display of his roofing products. Some were high quality products from a well-known manufacturer. The second roofing company rep arrived in his personal car. He introduced himself as the owner of the company. He showed me the same product as the first roofing company. As I listened to his presentation, I kept obsessing about the idea of a one-man company that would outsource everything. He just didn't instill enough confidence in me to believe that he could deliver on the quality of work that I expected, even though his price quote was about half as much as the first roofer. Roof Pro was the third company I interviewed. There's a lot to be said about first impressions. As I opened my front door, I was greeted by an upbeat energetic young man with a warm smile that beamed with positivity. He introduced himself as, Tony. We shook hands. I invited him in. He brought in his sample displays. We went over all the elements of the job, just as I had done with the other roofers. He showed me some of the same products as the other companies. By now, it was obvious to me that this was the typical product that most companies install. His quote was about the same as the first company. Then, he mentioned another option. He showed me a roofing product from a company called, Certainteed. This was measurably better than any of the other products I had seen. The shingles were almost 3x as thick. When installed on a roof, the shingles stood out in bold relief against each other. The textured pattern of the shingles rivaled the look of a tiled roof. These were their most prestigious roofing shingles. They were called, their Presidential Series. They were gorgeous. The only problem was, they exceeded my budget. I wanted these stunningly beautiful roof shingles on my house badly. Now, it was just a matter of how badly Roof Pro wanted to win this job. So I made them a counter offer. Tony told me he would take my proposal back to his boss, the project manager. To my delight, we reached an agreement that was within my budget. Once the work began, everything was very organized. First, the demo crew stripped off the old shingles. Next, all of the material was delivered. Finally, the installation crew skillfully installed the new roof. Tony kept me updated on every element of the job. The results were magnificent. This isn't merely a new roof. It's my house's crowning glory. Our realtor recommended Roof Pros and we requested they do a roof inspection for us. They were timely, thorough and communicated well each of the roofing issues in a written report that included pictures and details. We proceeded with the purchase of the home and after the close of escrow we proceeded with contracting with Roof Pros to mitigate 3 areas of roof deflection aka bowing, replaced rotted wood, laid new tar paper, added O'Hagen roof vents and had new light weight roof tiles installed. Shame on you, the Yelp community. I needed a roof repair and due to the upcoming rains, I needed it done fairly quickly. I found RoofPro on Yelp, and based solely on the reviews, I felt fairly confident in contacting them. In all I contacted five roofing companies. RoofPro was definitely not the least expensive, but again, based on their Yelp story, I continued on with them. The salesman that came to my home, was just that, a salesman. He used good old-fashioned used car salesman tactics. He was so superficial that it was easy to see through. However, I lowered my guard because of the upcoming atmospheric river due the following week. While I was still wavering, I received multiple phone messages and texts from the salesman urging me to lock in my deal ASAP- old-school hard sale tactics. Once I had decided to go with RoofPro, I signed the paperwork, and although I had a three day right of rescission, the work crew was at my home the next morning. The job was to take one day. Day one, I was away from the house and got home after dark. The next morning, I decided to climb up on the second story roof and inspect their work (to the best of my 60 year old amateur ability). I am glad I did. The company failed to install/repair items that were included in the contract. Had I not gone up on the roof, I never would have known this and just progressed happily down the road. I contacted my salesman and, after a variety of contradictory statements, it was decided to proceed with the remainder of the job the next day. The next day, a 'crew' of two showed-up late morning and installed one of the items that had been contractually obligated, but it was not included in the original job. I confirmed with this crew that three items had been overlooked during the first day on the job. However, they were not set-up to complete all three items. So, the next day, two other guys arrived and installed one of the missing items. Now, all along, I am in communication with the salesman and all along, I am getting different stories. As near as I can figure in speaking with the laborers, inspecting the work myself, and weeding through the salesman's contradictory statements, I now have the bulk of the job complete. Some of it has been done to contractual standards; some apparently has not been done to the specifications we agreed upon. Along the way I emailed the salesman and the owner and expressed my concerns over their lack of fulfilling their end of the contract. Never heard from the owner. Would I use these guys again. No. I hope I don't have to for warranty work. Would I recommend them. No. If you review my Yelp profile, you will see I am a fair Yelp reviewer, with the bulk of my reviews in the 4-5 star range. Cesar is not only professional, but a good human. Financing for independent consultants isn't easy and he was patient with us throughout the process and quickly answered our questions. Our biggest challenges were the metal roof distributor who dropped the ball on ordering and not knowing we didn't have plywood at all, which was a large additional expense. Having a full timeline of events and schedule would have been helpful, but we were supplied with updates from Fernando and Cesar when we inquired. This company gave me not only what I asked for but also what I needed. I had water streaming down the corner of my roof due to kind of kind of structural issue. They not only fixed that problem but also proactively addressed a lot of other issues they found that could eventually cause a leak. They also fixed for free a gutter issue that was not in the original quote. They answered all of questions thoroughly and showed excellent follow-up when I contacted them afterwards with more questions. During their evaluation, I was impressed with their use of drones to allow a thorough "roof check-up" in just a few minutes. We worked with Jhonny to replace the underlayment. Jhonny was very knowledgably about his work and he was very detail oriented. He explained to us in details what the problem was and the project plan. We felt comfortable to go with Roof Pro, because out of all the companies we talked to, Jhonny's proposal was the best one. We had a temporary tarp put on first, then the replacement of the underlayment started a few weeks later. The crew worked very efficiently. They cleaned up all the nails and debris after. Tony Tatad an absolute genuine, honest and technical roofing consultant came punctually to inspect our concrete tile roof with his top of the line drone on Jan 25, 2024, unfortunately, due to our house is too close to JFTB NAF, authorization takes time, we failed to see the drone in action, but thankfully Tony got authorized and came back on Jan 29, provided us with clear pictures of our roof, and even marked one of the vent without metal screen to keep creators out, we're so impressed and grateful he remembered our replies to his questions. My solar contractor hired Roof pro as their subcontractor for our reroofing + solar project. At the end of the day, their work is solid, but the process was far from easy. There were many internal communication problems that caused thrash to the project. The worst one was a big fall out between them and my solar contractor, I had to yell to both sides to stop them from pointing fingers at each other. It delayed the project big time. The upside is that they are fairly easy to reach and they've owned their responsibilities at the end. But again, the process was frustrating to say the least. I had an awesome experience with Cesar from Roof Pro Remodeling. During the process of receiving multiple quotes, Cesar was the only one that was very prompt and timely with email and text messages whenever I had questions. After meeting with him in person to determine if I should go with Roof Pro Remodeling, he was able to give his honest answers, opinions, and recommendations regarding my roofing project. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions thoroughly. On top of that, he had the most competitive quote as well. He was also willing to work in conjunction with my Solar project as well. The project itself was smooth and efficient. Cesar handled everything from A to Z, including obtaining the permits and scheduling the inspections.
