From the moment you walk in the door of Baker Optometry, you are greeted by the staff in a warm, friendly, clean environment! The person doing the pre-screening exams was smiling and friendly as well. During my eye exam, the doctor took time to listen to my concerns about my vision and came up with some great strategies. I never felt rushed or like he was in a hurry! He also was willing to discuss the pros and cons of eye surgeries, even though they do not provide that service at this office. I am very lucky and thankful to have Dr. Wong as my optometrist. I can see much better with the eyeglasses made from the result of her examination. I have double vision. Dr. Wong measured the prisms to correct it exactly with a device called a Maddox rod. In my experience, she is the only optometrist that uses such a device. I use my distance glasses when I drive and no longer see double. My computer glasses and reading glasses are perfect. Dr. Wong took the time to assemble the lenses on a frame and have me read text through them at the correct distance. She was one of two optometrists that did this; the other one was Dr. Baker. read more

Huge thanks to Dr. Baker for his efficient and precise eye exam, for the helpful and friendly staff at Baker Optometry and the super clean new business expansion which looks amazing. On my recent visit, I was able to select the perfect pair of frames for some new bi-focals. Well, I asked Solome to find me the best frames rather than looking around myself. I have done that in the past and ended up picking frames not suitable for my facial shape and eye issues. I don't want to be a time vampire, wasting their time with indecision or twenty questions about something I don't really understand. Just let the professionals handle it, I told myself. And the frames? They cost way less than I expected. Yah! I should mention I had gone to another local business some years ago where I felt the staff were pushy, the eye exam was shoddy and the frames and exam very expensive. Way overpriced to be clear. That visit to this other business was a Horrible Experience which Left Me Unsatisfied and Sad. If you're thinking of going to Baker Optometry but feel some loyalty to a business you've been going to, it's time to jump ship and go. I have been going to Baker Optometry for a few years. My experience keeps improving. The intake process and initial testing are conducted prior to meeting with the optometrist, which means it is quicker, appointment availability is increased and time with the optometrist is more back and forth. They recently updated some of the testing equipment, no big ball for peripheral testing! Point is they haven't settled for good enough, constant improvement feels like they are still pushing for the best experience. read more

they offered to put the lenes I need into my own empty glasses frames. so I wouldn't have to pay for their over-expensive frames. I haven't gotten to drop my empty frames (I have 3) off yet. they did warn me that occasionally trying to put new lenses into empty frames could cause frames to break. well that's OK as the empty frames are otherwise worthless Susana , office manager, has been especially helpful to me. read more
