After skiing for over 40 years, we finally decided to treat ourselves to skips and boots for Christmas. We searched Yelp and headed to Costa Mesa to check out Baker Street. From the moment we stepped inside this snow adventure's haven, we were immediately greeted by the manager who was very knowledgeable and friendly. He asked us a few questions about the gear we were looking for and got us fitted for new skiis and boots. The manager was patient and listened to our needs versus trying to merely sell us which we appreciated. We got hooked up with color coordinated poles and bindings. The ski repair shop is next door and you receive 50% off their service of installing your bindings and ski wax with the purchase of equipment at Baker Street. Came on Memorial Day weekend and they had a decent stock of boards/bindings/boots. However, recommend checking online like with evo, as though they have discounts there. Some of the boards are cheaper on evo by $30, but some are the same price so it just depends on what you want and are trying to get. Still worth coming here to check out their gear. All the guys here are super informative, but also they apply "gentle" pressure and upsell a lot. We had 4-5 different guys approach us and gave us different opinions every few minutes. Some guys also bsed us. They tried to convince my beginner friend to get advanced boots when she straight up told them she was a beginner. Tl;dr good selection of stuff at a decent value, but come here knowing what you want/need and double check the specs online for their recommendations. read more

They sized me right and wore them around the house and noticed that they were painful to wear. Took them back a few days later to get them heat molded and they felt better.
