Chris really came through with an emergency boot repair and I could not be happier. Nice neighborhood shop. You'll be treated well. Check them out.

We had the best , kind , Fast Service!! All of our needs were met and more. We called they said come in and we will help you. We always go to Green Room but they were short and rude . We will always come to Phil's from here on out for all our ski and snowboard needs! We also got some killer dragon goggles for 50% off! We had great service . Thank you!

Niche Aether board with Arbor Cypress bindings. Performance is next level, never felt this confident locking onto a jump or box line.

If you're in SoCal and within range of this shop it is easily one of the best snow/ski spots in OC. If you're looking for new gear: boards boots helmets skis goggles, anything they have a great selection; its 2 small shops and the walls are stacked better than most big sports stores! The other door handles rentals, etc. and I rec. calling for specific brands or SO's, or for lead times on waxing/edge repair. 2017: When I needed a new board, the salesman asked thoughtful Q's and he listened to my A's and experiences with other boards. They set me up with the Niche Aether board and Arbor Cypress bindings; I got the board waxed for cold temp wax prior to my Montana trip and it was a rocket, best board feel on powder. And I always visit Phil's for warm temp waxes for Big Bear, Mt High, etc. Renting Equipment? In peak CA snow season I recommend you don't show up on a Thurs looking to outfit yourself or others with ski/board/boot rentals for Fri/Sat morning. It gets very busy here with lines; but I'll say even as a smaller shop they get my board waxed and prepped better and quicker than the nearby competitors at good prices. I try to come in at least a week or two before my lift ticket date, and they've always been accommodating, Phil and the crew are all true enthusiasts who love to shred and provide good service

Gnu getting ready for some wax

Aaron and Parker are the guys. I bring my snowboard here a couple times each season to get it serviced, and they always get it dialed in perfectly. From fresh wax to full tune-ups, they treat my setup like it's their own. If you ride, this is where you need to be. Solid crew, solid work.

Just two examples of the dozen boots Aaron and Nathan pulled down based on my questions and needs. No one has ever been this helpful!

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! I would give 10 stars if I could. 110 percent worth the trek down from Los Angeles this past weekend for the warm and knowledgable service Aaron and Nathan provided alone, but I can go on. The new buildout is top notch (I had to remark on it, and was told they just updated everything - it looks great!), from Rentals to Retail, and their selection of new gear from only the best brands is a sight to behold. Truly. I came down for a wax and tune to get my skis dialed in for the upcoming season, yet what truly blew me away was the STELLAR assistance that Aaron and Nathan provided. They spent over 2 HOURS patiently helping me dial in a boot fit on my current boots. That's right, Phil's has a CERTIFIED BOOT FITTER in Aaron - I had no idea, but when they mentioned it, I ran and grabbed my boots quicker than a New York minute. I was blown away to learn this, as most shops do not have professionals of this caliber on the team. The most I had experienced before was a simple heat-to-mold liner oven (I'll skip it, thanks); Phil's has the real deal boot fitter on site, ready to ACTUALLY FIT SKI BOOTS the right way with punches, presses, grinders, and more - not to mention the years of training, certification, and experience to match. What's more, Aaron and Nathan went out of their way to pull down a dozen new boots of varying shell constructions and flex patterns to try on - yet they didn't try to sell me on anything. They just said over and over, "we just want people to be happy with their gear, whether they buy it from us or not, and understand what else is out there and what might be right for you." I can't tell you how refreshing this was, as at every other shop I've been to, they don't really seem to care about getting you into gear you need (let alone so gleefully take the time to show you what's new and exciting out there), and are only ever concerned with selling you something. Suffice it to say, though, I will be going back when my boots give up the ghost. After spending an unexpected 2+ hours helping me out with a boot fit, answering my questions, and letting me try on a host of new boots, they have a customer for life, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. Phil's Ski and Snowboard has my full support. I have been to my fair share of shops across the West and Mountain West, and Phil's is truly the best, hands down, let alone a godsend for skiers and snowboarders in the area - Phil's just can't be beat in the greater Southern California region, and probably the country at large!

We came this morning to reserve board boots and the staff were wonderful, attentive and knowledgeable. We are season regulars and each visit has been great and no issues. When trying on boots - they take the time to measure and try on the boots. You don't get this attention when you get to the ski resort rental. Time is valuable when you get to the mountaintop. Waiting in line for rentals is the least of my favorite.

Super elite experience I got here. Got the nice, soft beanies for a trip outdoors to Big Bear. Love the merchandise for tops too. It's definitely a special place to visit.

No complaints about this place. They were on top of it with tuning up my snowboard . They were more quick about finishing your board earlier than you expected and their customer service was excellent. Their pricing wasn't as expensive as other board shops I've been to. Thank you for your help

Ask the Community - Phil's Ski & Snowboard

My gf has Nordica Gypsy alpine ski boots and the heel plate that is replaceable is broken meaning she is unable to lock the boot into place. Is this something you can fix? She would like the heel and toe set replaced. Please let us know

If they’re older boots, all the toes and heels just shattered whether you skied them or they just sat in your closet something to do with the plastic they used and they do not have any replaceable toes or heels. If they are newer Boot within the…

What is the price for adult and children snowboard packages?

I bought a set of good but old skis that included the bindings. I also bought some nice, newer boots. Now I need them all inspected and sized. Is this service available? I live quite far and just want to make sure before we make the drive. Thanks!

Yes we specialize in service, bring in or send pic and we can tell you if your bindings can be serviced. We have a computerized binding tester that will tell us if the binding is releasing correctly! Thanks! Phil.

Do they rent kids skis? Like 3-4 year sized skis?

They do, but I believe they rent kids skis out by the season (October/November timeframe is when they started renting them out for the season) and didn't seem to have availability. I'd call them.

Do they rent snow chains for tires?

You are not gonna find any place that rents chains

McMullin Snowboard and Ski Co) is a cute small business ~ literally your one stop shop, specializing in all things ski & snowboard. It's located in Santa Ana in the deserted looking Edinger Business Park. They are definitely known for their discount prices on all winter/snow-related gear, outerwear, and accessories, as well as services like waxing, tuning, and rentals. When you walk in, the store is so neatly arranged and organized, it's super easy to find everything you are looking for. After coming here for so long, I legit just discovered that upstairs houses their "gently used" section, for those looking for an even more affordable option. The workers are super friendly, with a chill vibe. Everyone is knowledgeable & always willing you help you. My lil fam of 4 snowboards every year, so we have come here (year after year) to update our snow outfits, to googles, boots, snow socks, thermals, & beanies. You name it, they have it..AND we've bought it! Even when my kiddies wear younger..babies, we even got sledding/tubing gear here, so they could play in the snow. We really appreciate the affordable prices ~ ranging to discounted ones to more pricey name brands. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We were greeted multiple times stepping into the store and asked if we needed any help. We just came here for a snow jacket to prepare for real cold. The inside has cool decorations, snowboard brands etc kind of like a little wooden fort. Theres even a laddered second floor where they sell 2nd hand items. The store is divided into sections for board care/rentals, they have curtained fitting space and a toilet. They even have helmets and ski shoes. The prices here for snow jackets/gear (have pants too) are definitely cheaper than other name brand outdoor places and good quality (150-200), even cheaper than some outlets (but im not too well versed in brand comparisons so dont quote me if you are seasoned). I I think accessories might be cheaper at outlets?, but its more convenient to get everything in one place. They have toe warmers and google covers. They even have the board conditions for different mountains written on a white board as if you were up there in a resort. It would be great if they had a diagram for beginners of what clothing items/essentials to get including accessories and thermal layers as the store overall is very approachable to a southern californian newbie. The only thing is that it is a bit hole in the wall, parking is a bit confusing as you do look like you're pulling up to an inn. But there is a parking lot and we seemed okay parking there for our time here. Had a good time here, would recommend it to anyone looking to get into winter sports.

We've been here so many times that I finally had to leave a review--especially for Jesus (pronounced just like the name in the Bible). This place is HUGE! They have everything--bikes, sports apparel, camping gear, rentals, and more. Plenty of parking, conveniently located right off the 405, they price match, and the membership is actually worth asking about. I'm usually not a membership person, but we come here so often that it pays for itself. Jesus is amazing. We brought in my son's Co-op DRT 3.3 for what we thought would be "just brakes." We opted to upgrade our gear, which they gave $120 credit towards boots and $100 towards bindings. They have enough variety to fit your budget that includes options from current and past season to choose from. Binding installation was also included in the package.
