Love the selection in this store. One of the good things that I like shopping here is that there's a great selection of fruits and vegetables, also, their ice cream shelves. My husband loved the KitKat ice cream and so far, we managed to only find that there (with a reasonable price). Their meat is okay priced but it could be better if they're on the weekly savings. Just make sure to download their app to clip some coupons before purchasing some items! read more

The store itself is OK, but there have been two times now I have ordered curbside pickup and when I arrive at the designated time, someone comes out and says "sorry, not ready, staffing issues, come back later." I scheduled the time I did for a reason. Those of us with jobs and family obligations can't just rearrange everything to come back later. read more

This is the Baker's off of 156th, near the Dodge expressway. Compared to other grocery stores, the lights in the store are not super bright but the signs are visible to guide you to the correct aisle. I was impressed with the frozen section, bakery variety, and steps recently taken to ensure shopper no employee safety. I found frozen items that was not offered at Hyvee or Family Fare stores. Staff were friendly and the employees were keeping the shopping carts from accumulating in the parking lots, a chore several stores neglect to do. read more

My go-to supermarket. They have everything and their savings plus make it the most affordable of the neighboring grocers. During this pandemic they work tirelessly to restock shelves, I also noticed they were the first grocery store to put limits on things so everyone is able to get what they need. I haven't found too many out of stock items. besides toilet paper of course. On a normal day I love perusing the glassware aisle. They have such unique and cool glasses, plates, tumbler, wine glasses etc. I love when their collections go to 70% off. They have the best artisan breads as well. Make sure you have a savings card because you can really save a lot of money at the end of your trip. The clerks are really friendly and I love that they employee all people. Gosh, this is such a great store. I can find things here that other Bakers either hides, doesn't carry, or doesn't make it easy to find. Easy to get to. Plenty of parking. Helpful staff. Great sales. And better prices that HyVee. Just an all around good grocery store. read more

Kroger Rx Savings Club is all about them continually taking money from you once you get signed up. My mom used this club, and after she passed away they would not cancel her billing without a death certificate. I had taken my power of attorney into Bakers, but they had "no record of it on file". Found Hostess Lemon cupcakes noticed product was expired April 25, 2020. Strawberry and mint chocolate cupcakes also expired. I didn't purchase the cupcakes. Should have been on clearance. I was in the Baker's at 156th and Dodge tonight and was just amazed at how much it has declined in cleanliness, appearance and convenience from when I first started shopping there 5 years ago. The place is poorly lit, it appears they have narrowed the aisles and shoved in self-checkout machines with outdated technology. The place is a pit and just really hard to find anything. It is obvious Kroger is putting no money into keeping this location up. Which is why we now do our regular shopping at the main competitor, even though it has higher prices. I used to be a faithful Bakers shopper, but I've been noticing some pretty unsavory business practices in the last several months. For instance, they'll do fake sales. Take ice cream that had a normal price of $4.00-$4.99, they will mark it all up to $7.49 and then say it's on sale for $4.59. I'm sorry but Blue Bunny ice cream has never been $7.50, even with inflation. They've been doing this on several types of items. Bad business. This is all besides the fact that they don't restock their products throughout the day. Sometimes high demand items are just out of stock for weeks at a time. When you know a product sells out, why wouldn't you order a larger quantity to avoid this persistent issue? read more

If you want your medication for a little cheaper because of Good Rx go ahead and come here. If you want your medication on time ever, go somewhere else. I have never used a pharmacy that so regularly takes several days to fill a prescription and then still doesn't have it ready when you show up hours or even a day after it was projected to be finished and there is no warning you just show up to get medication you have been without for days and they say, "would you like to wait 30 minutes more for something we said would be ready yesterday?" Went through the full service checkout line . Our bagger was not on his a game today. He put a large glass jar of pickles, a jar of applesauce, 3 cans and a bottle of Miracle Whip in 1 bag not even double sacked. I should have caught this but didn't. Guess what, pickles all over the garage floor, cracked applesauce and cans rolling under the car. I called and talked to the manager. (Mike?). He went totally out of his way to right the situation. I really appreciate that. I will keep shopping there, just a little more observant from now on. read more

I'm an out of towner and this Baker's is close to where family lives. Whenever we are in town, this is our go to grocery store. The store is quite large and is always clean, bright and inviting. The food selection is excellent and the prices perfectly reasonable. The perks of this store are the selection of non-grocery items. They've always got a sizable seasonal section with a lot of ever-changing things. There is also a big selection of small appliances, cookware and diner ware. I've never really frequented the meat counter or produce section so can't really speak to their quality. I'm sometimes iffy about store cards being needed to get sale prices but it's so common now as to not really bother me and with their card, you can earn gas savings to KwikShops. Another big bonus with this store is tied to that. You earn rewards points/gas savings if you buy gift cards (they had a 4x deal going on cards when we were there last!) and they have a HUGE selection of gift cards. Baker's cards, Target cards, and everything else you might want. I mention it because you could totally go in and buy a bunch of Baker's gift cards to max out gas points and then use those to actually buy your food and basically double up the rewards. Most stores don't have so many good gift cards to choose from so that alone is a big plus in the pro column for this store. My only real complaint is that the last time we were there the cashier and bagger were deep in conversation with each other and completely ignored us and were borderline rude. Didn't greet us AT ALL, when we asked for a Baker's Card he said "Sure" quite coldly and literally threw the card to us after scanning it. When we left I said "Have a good day" and it was only at that moment that the cashier said "Bye" like he suddenly realized he should be polite to other people. Generally the service has been better, but that last trip docked them a star, honestly because it was just so dismissive. read more

We've been doing bakers pick up for months and keep having issues. From not sending portions of the order home with us to missing products To telling us they don't have items that they had when I went in the store. It's been one problem after another. Tonight was the last straw. They texted to say the order would be late. My husband went in an hour after it was supposed to be ready (the later time). he waited 1/2 hour, tried to call the phone number, no one answered so he went inside. He was rudely told they had no idea when it would be ready. I called the manager and asked whether it could be delivered. No apology. He took my number. We will see if he calls me back. Regardless I will no longer be using this service from bakers and would encourage others to find somewhere else as well. Poor service and poor treatment. read more

Spent a good deal of time ordering 111 items for pick up = $380. Time for pickup was 7-8 pm. Arrived at 7 after giving I will be there in 15 min notice on app. Waited until 7:15 when someone knocked on my window and said Sorry we didn't call you but we don't know when we will have yours ready. Called the store back at 9:15 and still wasn't ready! Don't advertise what you can't do!!! I cancelled the order. They were unapologetic. Lost my business. read more

We have been Baker's customers for several years. Had been using the online ordering to pick up our groceries. Was going good until a few months ago. Finally after showing up three different times in our pickup slot time and they didn't have the groceries ready, we decided we were done. Disappointed with this Bakers. Shopping in-store the experience is 'ok', Clicklist has become very bad at this store, something other Bakers locations and competitors don't struggle with at all. Did Clicklist today with a 5-6p pickup time. I got a call around 4p stating the store was very busy and they wouldn't be able to get the order done until 6, I get it, it's right before a holiday and things get busy. It didn't make sense to go home and come back so I sat in the parking lot from 515p until 6 and then pulled into a Clicklist spot and called. After sitting and waiting for 30 minutes I decided to cancel my order at 630p. I went in the store and was in and out in literally 5 minutes. Zero people in lines, employees standing around doing nothing. Why not allocate some labor to somewhere you're obviously struggling? I will be using a competitor that is a little more out of my way going forward because I like the Clicklist type service when it's done proficiently. If this is the example Bakers is going to set for their service they may as well cancel it because it won't last and makes the store look bad. read more

It is so pleasant living only a few blocks from this Baker's. I love being within walking distance! Every employee at this location is very pleasant, personable, and has outstanding customer service skills. Whatever training the Baker's make their employees go through is definitely a good one! This Baker's is kept very clean, both the exterior and interior. They have a large selection and often have many specials and sales. I love that if you are a Kroger/Baker's member, you get points that you can then use for money off of gas--it's definitely worth it! Another bonus is that every Friday they have a 'Free Friday Download.' Just go to their website, make sure you are signed in to your account, and find out what the free item is. It's usually really great free items, so it's definitely a little perk! Definitely a nice supermarket to have in the area. read more

Worst experience. I come grocery shopping 3 x a week and tonight I brought up organic eggs then when I set them on the belt I noticed they were expired, by 2 weeks! I kindly told them and the guy in charge at the front named Steven said I'll go check them out. He brought me back eggs that expired today and said well I can do half off of these. I said no I don't buy expired eggs and he walked away without getting me any others , i had to finishing checking out all my groceries then leave my cart at the front, get my eggs and wait in line behind a line of people. Worst thing to me is there were about 15 expired boxes! Who is checking this! Needless to say I will never return to Bakers. Hyvee now has all my business. read more

Be careful when you get the hot food or pre- made items. I have allergies. I asked what was in the seasoning. He was rude and said " spices". The spices that make you ill and can kill you. This is very close to my house so I go often. I know where everything is and it's super convenient... The guy in the wine department is always helpful and will do special orders. My only complaint is I wish the deli (meat and cheese area) was way faster, it seems to take them forever and the lady I always get to carry my groceries out goes on and on about how everyone she works with is crabby... I just discovered this Bakers which is close to my new home- we didn't have Bakers or Krogers in the areas I've lived before Omaha. I really like their organic freezer section and they have great "specials" on organic food. signing up for their card to get the discount storewide was was easy- go online and you don't really even HAVE a card. the store is clean bright and nicely stocked. I haven't really needed help with my bags or from the staff much but when I have they were pleasant. their checkstand was pretty fast for a Friday night. this last visit I saved nearly $5 and had points towards the gas and came in under budget so I was pleased. I heard a radio ad about their "organic" goods which led me to come see and I was happy with the selection and prices. the produce depart looked very nice too and they had a good selection of chili peppers including my favorite anaheims and poblanos and hatch. I've only been here a couple times but I like my experiences.. parking lot is nice.. the way out I wish they had a stoplight considering that's a busy intersection but.. that's a complaint for the city not Bakers. read more

Went in around 8ish. The guy behind the counter at the Deli was awful. Most of the stuff had been put out on the warmed racks near the produce section due to it being after 8. I wanted chicken tenders for my kids and wife, which were still behind the counter. I told him I would be back in a couple minutes, because I had other things to get. I was gone for all of 6 to 8 minutes. HE THREW THE ENTIRE THING of chicken tenders out. It was FULL when I walked away. When I walked back up, I asked what happened and he said " Aw, I had to start cleaning so I threw them away" even though the big thing of Fried Chicken was still there, only the tenders gone. He then told me I could buy the old chicken tenders from the day before in the cold section. He knew I would be back, and wanted to be a jerk. They usually dont even throw them away. They put them out on the warmer rack for sale, or in the cold section. He was just being a jerk for no reason. I am at this baker's almost daily, and many employees there can vouch for that. I will not come back unless I have to after this. That dude sucks, you should probably keep him away from any customers if you want to keep them. read more
