We have had this company out to our home a few different times now. Always an amazing experience! We have an indirect high pressure solar hot water system on our roof...we honestly thought it wasn't even in use anymore...until Saturday it started leaking and we had water just running off our roof! I called Friday and they were able to come out on Saturday morning to replace a valve and replace our old RO system with the new one I purchased for under the kitchen sink. I appreciated Fernando calling to let me know he was on the way. Fernando is knowledgeable, professional, polite and personable and explained what he found and asked if I was ok going forward to have him fix the issues that he found with the water leaking from the valve and the old RO system. He even went to Home Depot to get a different part to hook the new RO system up to our refrigerator. He also put in a couple of shut off valves to be able to turn off the water to the RO system and refrigerator l, when needed, and still be able to use the faucet. I am so grateful and relieved for the great work that Fernando did for us and for explaining how to work everything. It's a huge weight off of me and I will use Bakersfield Plumbing in the future. We had Matthew Flores come out to fix a shower faucet that wasn't working and he showed up to my house within less than 10 minutes of me calling his office. Once he got there, he was able to assess the situation and handled everything perfectly. he was extremely courteous and nice and professional. Told me that he needed to go back to a hardware store and buy a part that needed to be installed, after that he had the decency to turn the water back on and to check for any leaks. Upon doing so we established, meaning him, that there was a leak so he went back to the store to get the parts necessary to complete the job. While doing, he held the upmost, courtesy and respect for my daughters and myself, as well as actually explaining and showing me what it is that he was doing. When the job was done, he asked me to come and inspect it to make sure everything was up to my standards which it was. Most handyman that I've dealt with have never gave me all of those so I want to give him in particular plus his company, extreme gratitude and appreciative of their professionalism. BR WARNED!!!!! OVERCHARGED!!! I called for a technician to come to our home to give us a quote for a toilet base leakage and when he came he immediately started working and before I knew it the technician had the toilet torn apart. When I tried to stop him and ask that I did not approve because I do not know what the service charge would be, he told me to call the office. Seeing as he already started I allowed him to continue and called. Alysa told me it would be 159 an hour (this was at 12:30) plus this charge would start when he left the office. I said how do I know when he left and that they did not inform me of this charge when I first called. Because I was upset they assured me they would then 'take care of me' and take this charge off. Around 2 hours later the working technician called for a camera technician for more investigation. Another hour later the another technician showed up that both said the would have to bust out some concrete to install a clean out pipe and then said it would be $1,600!!! When I ask how could that be? Again he said to call the office. I called and asked why and they said that was the price. When I asked for this job itemized, the charge broken down to labor and materials, the office said they don't do that but that they would take off the 225 camera charge, but still charge $1,600. As you can see from the photos below how could let them leave with that mess in my bathroom. In the end they refused to clean the tub and toilet stating "this was not their shit" and left. Shit was on the floor. So unsanitary and disgusting. Made me sick. I feel like I was taken advantage of when in all they were only there for 5 hours. So underhanded the way they pulled this on me. Maybe because I was alone, a woman??? BE WARNED!!!! If you use this company do not let they do this to you. read more

Make sure to get a price quote before using their service. I was charged $223 for a simple unclogging of a toilet. I was not aware that it would be that much for 1-2 minutes of work. I would have waited until the following day to get a cheaper price during the week or used another plumber if I had known the cost would be so high on a Sunday. I live in a mobile home park that replaced all the sewer lines. Bakersfield plumbing did the job. They didn't ask me if anything was tied into the sewer before they did the job on my space. The extremely close proximity of the sewer to my washing machine drain basically makes it impossible to miss the tie in. My washing machine was draining under ground for 18 months. I did not know this. The ground was so saturated the water wouldn't drain anymore and my wash was backing up into my laundry room. I also has a sink hole starting under my back steps. The park manager has been trying for a couple months now to get a call back from them to discuss them fixing the issue. They refuse to call back. I am extremely unhappy with this company and their work ethics. read more

Where to start......I had a clogged main line. Someone came later the same day. I have an older house so going through the roof of the house is the cheapest option, no catch in the yard. It costs more to go through the roof I was told. You can also go through the toilet but that is the most expensive option which I was not told about.....until after the work was done. I have a 1 story house and a ladder in the backyard. The plumber who came decided he didn't feel like climbing a ladder and instead would go through the toilet and forget to mention that the price would increase 100$ flat for his convenience, not professional but whatever. Now a few days later I have a similar problem, but now my toilet that was removed for more money and the plumbers convenience without me being notified starts leaking at the base because it wasn't sealed properly after. I call and alert the company of the problem. Initially they could come the following day to take more of my $ but when I mentioned that it was to finish the work that was not completed properly the first time, it would now be the day after that, they had the earliest opening. Now that day comes and goes and they don't show or call or text or email....ghosted. I call them on Monday now 3 days after they flaked on showing up to finish the work they hadn't completed from 8 days prior, im told their sending someone same day now. Well the same guy who did the shotty work to begin with shows up, irony...... he already has the toilet ring in his hands, he knows what he didn't do. Well 25 minutes later he walked out says it's done and then tries to charge me hundreds of dollars more for fixing the work that he hadn't completed to begin with, from over a week prior that I had already been overcharged for and took twice as long to complete as their competitors. Extremely unprofessional!!! I will never use or recommend this company ever again. I don't care if I have to take a canoe out of my house on a river of feces for the rest of my life I will never use Bakersfield plumbing again!!!!! read more

First off, I have been using these guys for 25 years, so I can testify they are honest professionals. Consider this: my main sewer line from my 1936 home needed to be cleaned and relined with a poly to extend its life. It's a huge job. During the process, one of the plumbers (Charles and Jason) tipped me off that I could have an electrical problem because their equipment kept tripping the breaker. "You could burn your house down" is what Charles told me. Well sure enough the next day I had Rankin Electric out and its rep (Joe Linnell) confirmed that "you need to thank that plumber because he was right!" I have had two experiences with Bakersfield Plumbing both of which were positive. Recently, I had a pinhole leak in my copper water line and of course it happened on a Saturday late afternoon. I called them and they send a man out with an hour, repair the pinhole leak and only charge me $140. The other time they Replaced a toilet that was leaking. They came out made the repair and did not overcharge me. I would highly recommend Bakersfield Plumbing due to their fast response and fair pricing. Update May 2019; I decided to replace all of my water lines. Although costly to do my old water pipes were starting to get leaks and didn't want to have a major flood.
