Just an initial review for Can Do Crew Plumbing and Heating. I needed a new garbage disposal installed and kitchen sink seal redo. Eric arrived on-time and stated something is wrong with your sink and it appears it has to be remounted. He stated Daniel does this work for us and is one of our plumbers. Daniel took a look this week and gave me a fair estimate for repairs. In addition to the sink, he found a leak on the cold water side of the faucet. The people here at Can Do are all excellent. Daniel, Eric, and Tyler did their estimates and plumbing work this week and the next day I met Renee and Christian that repaired the dry wall area where repairs were made to fix the water leak. Daniel will fix the sink next week. This team of people are all very personable, and competent. You can tell they like working for this company and they have exceeded my expectations. Another addition be sure if they pull the insulation from the exterior walls to replace pipes that you let them know it needs to be replaced. Come to find from the stucco person it was all pulled to replace pipes but never replaced. This will increase heat gain/loss within the house. We expect to find more issues to come. This use to be my go to choice for plumbing. The previous times they were great. My most recent experience wasn't so great. I dug up my main line and exposed it so they could make the repair. The plumber was super grumpy and appeared to not want the work. He was insisting on having to dig more before even validating what we told him and tried to charge us 250$ an hour to dig. We told him the line is exposed just had to suck the water out(12 in at best). We are super happy we stood our ground and didn't give in to the 1200 $ they were trying to charge us. Maybe just a bad day on the plumbers side that we all have. Will unfortunately use someone else next time we have any plumbing issues. read more

Andy, the tech was great--very professional & did a good job. My problem is he arrived 45 minutes later than the time I was told. I was then charged $315 for a 15 minute job. I told him I referred a neighbor last week & the neighbor spent approx $6000 to convert hw heater to tankless hot water heater. I said I should get referral. He said the app won't let him. Today I receive email from Can Do saying they'll sen a $10 reward for each booked appointment & up to $250 for each job closed. I've received similar emails in the past. I sent text to Can Do telling about my neighbor prior to neighbor calling them. Referral program is a SCAM. What a shame! read more

I have nothing but great things to say about the can do crew. Our water heater was in bad shape for sometime with some dogs chewing on the wires. It finally went out on a Thursday evening and we had no hot water. I called them that night and they said that they could come out on Saturday to do an evaluation. The person that came out Saturday morning showed me what was wrong and gave me quotes on several models. I went with the higher quality one even though it cost me more, but it had a better warranty and was a brand new unit that it just come out. He placed the order and said that they could probably come out on Sunday to fix it and I said that was fine. I had gone to the store to do some shopping and get a call saying that he was able to pick up the unit and has two people that could come out today to fix it. I agreed and they showed up promptly and completed the task in a short amount of time the new unit looks fantastic and works perfectly. I highly recommend this company to anybody for HVAC and plumbing needs. Everybody that came out to help were very professional and very friendly. read more

I have to give them credit, this company was the first to respond. A technician was inspecting the water heater within an hour. So far so good, from here it was all down hill. The technician motioned for me to come over and check the different corroded parts above the water heater. These needs to be replaced. The valve has also to be replaced. On the way out of the garage he gave me a quote of $3000 and he could get started right away. This was a friday evening. The technician said, if I wanted to save some money, wait till monday during regular work hours $2900. I told him I was waiting for more estimates. After the tech left, I became more alarmed of what additional problems I might have regarding the water heater. The next estimate was $2250. The 3rd estimate of $1550 was music to my ears. The last estimate at $1100 was delivered by an individual that was honest and straight forward. No scare tactics and inflated price quotes. read more

He was so nice to my mom and he really cared about what the situation was and showed her exactly what was needed while I would still recommend the service to other people we didn't go with the company because they were super expensive compared to some of the other companies that we were looking at some of the other components were also that according to the can-do crew, they have to do it a certain way which I can understand through policies and procedures of company ways, but it lost my business because I just needed a simple fix to get things moving so that I could get my parents some heat but unfortunately, I was not able to use their service this time around hopefully in the future maybe something will open up where I can acquire their assistance, especially for my mom. I don't know why I have fallen for this again. Paid for the maintenance service. The "crew" shows up to do "maintenance" on my AC and water heaters. Next day my AC and Water Heater go out. The "Crew" turned off my pilot light to my water heater and installed the 2 fuses upside down on my AC unit. Then called me and said they needed 500 dollars to clean off a filter with a chemical. I laughed and said no. So, I would assume they didn't like that they would not be getting a commission on the work. They are no different than any other company. Come out, tell you your perfectly fine unit has issues and overcharge you. Tale as old as time. read more

We scheduled an appt to have the AC serviced, it was running fine but wanted to get the service done. Edgar came out and did his inspection resulting in and estimate of $3690 of cleaning and repairs. The next day the AC was not blowing cold air. We scheduled a family friend who specializes in HVAC work, he found ALL the AC coolant was gone. It cost us $700 to have it refilled. Before moving forward with larger projects, I had used Can Do Crew for routine plumbing service calls and those experiences were generally positive. During those visits, technicians repeatedly recommended larger upgrades such as a full home repipe and HVAC duct replacement, saying they were the best long-term solution. After hearing those recommendations multiple times, I decided to trust the company and move forward with both projects. Unfortunately, the experience with the larger work was very different. The repipe contract specifically stated that permits were included, but after the work was completed and the walls were closed, I discovered the permit had never been pulled. Because of that oversight, sections of my home had to be reopened so the plumbing could be inspected after the fact. During the entire week the repipe crew was working in the house, there was never any mention of inspections or permitting, and the job timeline I signed did not reference an inspection step either. When I later asked about permitting for the HVAC duct replacement (which had been completed less than a week earlier), I was initially offered the option to have them obtain the permit for an additional fee even though determining permit requirements should be part of the contractor's responsibility when preparing the original proposal. There were also coordination and workmanship issues along the way, including delays authorizing subcontractor work, drywall repairs performed without removing cover plates, exterior pilot holes left unfilled, and drywall dust left throughout the home. The first hole cut in my home was on January 19th and the project was not considered complete until March 16th due to the permit issue and follow-up work required to correct it. As the caregiver for a severely disabled child, having parts of my home repeatedly opened for inspections created significant disruption that could have been avoided if the permitting had been handled properly from the start. At one point I was also asked multiple times to leave a five-star review while the project was still ongoing and the permit issue was unresolved. To be fair, the plumbing manager eventually stepped in and ensured the permits and inspections were completed. However, the only concession offered was covering the HVAC permitting after escalation, despite the additional disruption and delays. Because of the overall experience, I cannot recommend this company. I would encourage homeowners considering major work to carefully review their contract and independently verify whether permits are required and actually obtained. read more

I called Can Do Crew a few weeks ago to facilitate repair of my grandma's heater. She has the original heater wall type heater. Several companies had been out prior and told my grandma they didn't know how to deal with, she had to replace it, or leave it be. I explained to Can Do the kind of heater it is and they knew right away what I was talking about. They told me there would be a $99 travel fee to Delano on top of service fee, but that the travel fee would go towards the repair fee if it could be repaired. Can Do seems to focus on going above and beyond. I received an email letting me know that my appointment time was confirmed. Then the day of the appointment, I received a text with a picture of the technician arriving and his name. When the technician arrived, he called me to inform me that he was at my grandma's house. Don went ABOVE and BEYOND for my grandma. I can't even explain how top notch his level of service is. Not only did he show grace when my grandma was running late arriving back at home, he got her heater up and running and even went as far as to show her how to use the leaf blower she had just bought. (*shakes head* so sorry she wrangled you into that, Don!!) After the appointment, Don contact me to update me on my grandma's heater and then sent me pictures of it. He saved our family money from having a costly expense, interruption of my grandma's daily activities, travel time for family members, etc. In the next few months we will be addressing a cooling issue at the house and I have no plans to get other bids. This was the 3rd and final time this company has tried to unclog my kitchen sink drain. The 1st time it drained OK for 10 months. The second time it only drained for 2 months. Today was the 3rd time and I'm hoping it will do better. So far, I have paid a total of $450 ($150 each time). The 2nd bill clearly stated that "Can Do Crew provides a one-year warranty on workmanship from the date of install." They did NOT HONOR that warranty on the 2nd service and will not honor on the 3rd service either, according to their latest statement. This was after I desperately called around to a few other places, one of which I'd gotten service before, but their scheduling and services were iffy this time around.
