I went to this location in hopes of finding a computer monitor. I came here after visiting three…read moreother pawn shops in Bakersfield and not finding what I was looking for with a reasonable price. (Reasonable price, under $150) I came to this location and within 5-10 minutes found exactly what I was looking for. They had about five to seven monitors for $20 each. The catch! These monitors only accepted VGA hookups so to use them with a modern computer you would need an adapter. I finally settled on one that I liked and asked to see it. The association didn't have a way to test it out so it was for sure a gamble on my end but for the price of twenty bucks how picky can you be. This location had an assortment of different interesting things that people have traded in over the years so if you are into collecting things like coins, baseballs, memorabilia, etc. you may want to check them out. (Plot Twist: the monitor didn't work when I got it home and all sales are final so that was twenty dollars down the drain. I may come back for the other cool stuff they had. )

I really didn't think there'd be anything there I'd be interested in, but that couldn't be farther from the truth. They carry a wide variety of items, including Dvd's, bicycles, paintball guns, jewelry, motorcycle helmets, and appliances - all kinds of stuff. And the prices are dirt cheap. I bought 4 DVD's and it cost me $9 + tax. The guy behind the register told me if I bought a 5th DVD I would get one free, but I didn't have time to work my way through both cases full of movies. I'm still not sure I understand exactly how pawn shops work, but I'm happy to buy gently used merchandise for a fraction of the retail cost, so I guess this place will occasionally be on my route.

They got it back, but never refunded my money (over 35 dollars)! Back then, many people were leaving them negative feedback stating that this place ripped them off and harassed them with religious messages. It was pretty easy to create a login, and when I did create a login,I was able to heart as many items as I wanted so they'd save in my favorites! I ordered two bracelets with a total of 4 charms, 2 charms for each bracelet. I received emails and text about placing the order, plus when the order was ready for pickup. Zales is located close to the entrance by Red Robin and Just Wing It at the mall. I was able to pick up the bracelets with no issues, although the account was under my husband's name, which I appreciated! Only time will tell if the bracelets are strong enough for my daughters.

Zales partners with Mappins in Canada re warranty work so this saved us a ton of cash going though them. We dealt with 2 ladies there who were quite pleasant and fun, one gentleman who was very welcoming on our first visit and then one older grump gentleman. 3/4, not bad! We had asked for a box to go with the rings and we did not get one included but that is not too big a deal. I recommend Zales and they have very nice jewelery. I will for sure be back to shop.
