After a couple visits here, I am giving a 5-star rating. The owner is also the operator of this beautiful shop. I went a few times to get his input as a jeweler on some pieces I had. He was a total pro and took time to help me out and educate me a little even though I wasn't buying anything at that time. After that, I was so impressed with the way he did business I went back to get a chain for a pendant I wanted to give my wife. He gave me several options and showed once again he had the heard of a teacher. Also gave me a nice discount. This is my go to place now. Mr. Robson, you get my business from now on. DO NOT do business with Robson Eilers Jewelers. I made the mistake of having my ring resized here over Thanksgiving weekend. We were originally in the store looking at wedding bands for my fiancé. I had been needing to get my ring resized & thought I may as well inquire about it while we were in their store. The man who helped us asked me for my ring, took a look at it, got my size, & said he would be able to do it in about an hour. I was thrilled! When we came back to pick the ring up, he let us know he was just going to do a quick cleaning & polish & we'd be on our way. When he came back up front, he handed me the ring & said it was ready to go. We were SHOCKED to see that the diamonds were all completely out of place & crooked AND there was a very large gap between two of them...it was so large that at first glance it looked like one of the diamonds may have cracked somehow! We handed it back to him & told him that the ring did not look like this before. He said that the diamonds tend to shift when the ring is resized & said that he would go back in & try to shift them around a little more to fix it. As he worked in the back, my fiancé & I sat in the lobby for a good 15 or so stressful minutes. My ring is a channel set band that was set with diamonds passed down from my mother-in-law's wedding ring, so it holds a lot of sentimental value for us. He went back & forth from the back to the polishing room a couple of times. Finally, he came back out & handed it back to us. The gap was gone, but something still didn't look quite right to us. However, we were absolutely not comfortable with handing it back by that point & paid (something we deeply regret now) & left. Once we got it home & started inspecting it from all different angles & taking zoomed pictures, we realized what an absolute disaster it still was. I cannot for the life of me figure out how he was able to hand this ring back to us with a straight face! After the disastrous job completed at Robson Eilers it's now back with the family jeweler in Idaho being fixed. Once the jeweler inspected it we were able to find out that not only did Robson Eilers use the incorrect tool & completely jack up the diamonds (like, worse-than-my-teeth-before-braces jacked up), but they soldered my ring back together using yellow gold. My band is rose gold! While it wasn't immediately noticeable to us, our jeweler said that after wearing it for some time I would have been able to clearly see a mismatched yellow line in my ring where it was resized. SO RIDICULOUS. After doing some research in recent days, I was able to find out that channel settings can be difficult to resize & keep the diamonds in place if you do not have a "skilled jeweler". However, A) don't tell me that you can resize my ring if you're not going to be able to do it & maintain the integrity. Or B) at least give some heads up & let me know that the diamond placement is going to change. & C) Put forth your best work! Even if the second attempt was the very best that you could have done, why would you have tried to give it back to me the first time with large, extremely noticeable gaps in the setting & diamonds overlapped throughout the whole thing? Shameful. Even with the diamond placement aside, there is no excuse for using the wrong color material to solder my ring. I believe that was probably the most dishonest stunt I've ever had a retailer pull on me. That was clearly done under the assumption I wouldn't even notice it until it was too late. Super thankful it's being fixed by someone who knows what they're doing. What a nightmare. I've already submitted a complaint to Robson Eilers (that has gone unanswered thus far) &, as stated in the complaint, I will absolutely be sending over a bill from our jeweler so that they can pay to fix their mistake. Will be sure to report back on how that goes. read more

It has been 6 years since i have stepped foot in this place. What a horrifying experience. Sadly, my husband posted about our visit and his review is under "reviews not recommended". Long story short: one of the owners yelled at us and told us that we live in a small world and to see ourselves out because we requested a refund for a DEFECTIVE ring he sold us. The diamonds from my ring (that was DAYS old) kept falling off-- a total of 4 times. 3 of those times I had not even worn the ring. He insulted us, made us feel small, humiliated my husband, scared me to the point of me leaving the store in tears. Truth be told, I felt he discriminated against us. I have never nor will I EVER step foot in there again and would never recommend this place. I now go to get my ring cleaned and polished at Jared's. Shame that a local business has horrible owners with bad customer service. Bad doesn't fully encompass what we experienced. read more

The staff at this shop are extremely helpful and friendly. They also have good quality, beautiful jewelry which has never disappointed. I recently went into the shop with a broken setting and was greeted warmly by one of the staff and the onsite jeweler fixed it immediately while I waited. In short summary: the owner screamed at me and said, "there's the door get out," and humiliated me in front of my fiancé because he refused to give me a refund after he sold me a defective ring. If you want to know the whole story keep reading. Before reading: the person who yelled at me was the store owner. I can't remember his name but if you go to their website he is the man in the picture standing on the right with a gray suit. I bought the ring one month prior to asking my fiancé to marry me. I bought from here because I wanted to buy from a local shop and support my local community. I found the ring I wanted and told the sales person (who was also the owner) that I would need it resized. I asked if resizing the ring would cause any problems and he assured me it would not. Once the ring was ready for me to pic up it came with a little bag and a ring box. When I took the ring home I naturally put the ring inside its' appropriate ring box and I stored it inside my drawer at home. After a week of having the ring I decided to take a look at the ring. I took it out of my drawer for the first time since I bought the ring to look at it. I noticed that one of the side-stone diamonds was missing. I happily took it to the jewelry store to get it fixed for free. After getting it fixed I took it home and place it inside its' appropriate ring box and I again put it in my drawer as before. A few days later (about 4 days) I took it out to inspect it one last time before the big day. I again noticed another side-stone diamond missing. I again took it to get fixed for the second time for free. After I received it, I took it home and inspected the ring before storing it away. (Side note: I never dropped, moved, or mishandled the ring in anyway). I brushed off both instances because I was assured by the store employee that it shouldn't happen again. The big day came and I proposed to my fiancé. She loved the ring I gave it to her and we were both happy. After a week of her wearing the ring another side-stone diamond fell out. By this time I became distraught. I took the ring back to the jewelry store to get it fixed for the THIRD time. This time I asked the owner if I would receive a refund if this were to happen again. He responded by saying, "if it happens again we will talk about it if the time comes." He deflected my question but I let it slide. I thought that he seemed like a reasonable guy and would understand that if a diamond falls out three or more times it is defective and should be refunded. After the ring was fixed for the THIRD time my fiancé and I noticed that the side-stone was replaced by a much more internally flawed diamond. The diamond had a gray-dark hue to it. We thought about bringing it to the owners attention but decided not to. We were once again happy to just have the ring back and be engaged. About three weeks after getting it fixed for the THIRD time another side-stone diamond fell out. By this point I was no longer able or willing to drive back and forth to their store to continually get a defective ring fixed. I wanted my refund. I entered the store and told the owner. He refused to give me a refund and told me he would be willing to fix it again for free instead. After getting it fixed for the fourth time and each time getting lesser valued diamonds in place of the ones I originally bought, I was not willing to go through that process again. I told him I don't want to get it fixed but that I wanted a refund. The owner refused and became increasingly impatient. After I politely asked for a refund for the third time he became extremely angry and began to yell that he would not give me a refund but that he would attempt to fix it again and if I didn't like that then I could show myself to the door. I was shocked because my fiancé was with me and I couldn't believe a store owner would act in such a way. I told him that I was sold a defective ring and I demanded a refund. He began to scream more and more. My fiancé became afraid and left the building while I stayed inside to try and get my refund. I unfortunately never got a refund but instead I got yelled at and embarrassed. I was sold a defective ring and the owner not only refused to help me but he yelled and humiliated me. I told him that I am a full time college student and I spent my savings on buying that ring. I couldn't afford to keep driving back and forth from where I live to his store. He responded by saying I "have a small world" for thinking that. Thanks to the store owner I will never return to that establishment ever again. I will also never recommend anyone to Robson-Eilers Jewelers. I won't even go back to get the free yearly cleaning that comes with ring that I bought. I'd rather go somewhere and pay to get it cleaned than to go there again. read more
