We walked in to see cases of pastry delights. I turn back as hubby dares not to enter entirely into the temptation. As I look back I see stacks of boxes, walk over to discover they are all pies! Anyone that knows me knows my last meal in life would consist of Berry Pie for dessert. I look and there it is a Mixed Berry. I turn and ask the lady after she was done with her customer how much for this delight? She said it's $24. Without question I grabbed said pie, and went to the register. I told her that Berry is my favorite, and she went on to say that every Friday is Pie Day. She also mentioned that if I ever needed anything in particular, I could call ahead. She could have it prepared for me. Wonderful lady and beautiful service. Might I add that a pie of this weight and stature normally runs about $35 even $40 in some places. We had a slice the next day because I could not bear it any longer. Without lie this is the best pie I've had in years!!!! Years or even perhaps ever. It has to be realized that if there is Berry Pie of any kind on the menu it will be ordered even to go. There were actual whole berries, and it was not full of sugar like some pies. You can taste the natural fruit of summer, and the crust was perfection!!!! Now I have to wait for a Birthday to order a cake. I'm sure it will be divine! My order was taken by Adella and I confirmed the pick-up date of August 27th at 9:30 am, but shared with Adella that I would probably pick them up around 10-11 am. She said that would be great! in the effort of allowing time to ensure mý order was ready. Order amount $239.04. Thursday, August 27th I walked into the store and no one was present. Finally an employee by the name of Rachelle appeared. I said hello and she didnt respond. She looked at me and asked if I was there to pick up an order? I said yes, and provided my name. (how did she know that I placed an order???Hmmmm) Rachael grabbed a box from a rack and dropped the box in front of me and walked away. I immediately noticed the hand smudges on the outside of the box and like any customer I open the box to check the order and was completely shocked by the poor presentation of the cookies and the soiled box in which they decided to package my order in. I asked Rachael to look at the dirty box and poor service and she stomped her feet as she walked toward me and placed her hands on her hips and declared she didn't find anything wrong with the order and asked if wanted her to call the Store Manager. I replied... Absolutely!! Rachael didn't offer anything remotely close to an apology. She looked at me as if I was causing her an inconvenience. She also complained and stated to me that she felt as if she was being "set up" and thrown under the bus and that she had nothing to do with my order. That statement confused me??? Did they plan to sabotage my order??? She said she didn't make the order, but she also said she was the only employee working that morning. So when were my cookies baked??? Were they day-old cookies??? Frankly, they looked like 2-week old cookies! The Store Manager, Adella spoke with me over the phone and exclaimed she didn't know what happened to my order, but apologized that she didnt live nearby to come to the store to review the situation. She asked Rachael to take photos, but she didn't. I took the attached images while standing in the store. Adella told Rachael to rebox my cookies because I didn't have time to wait for a new order, nor did I want to inconvenience Rachael with her very bad attitude any further. While I was speaking with Adella on Rachael's phone, Rachael demanded her phone back from me, which I then gave her. She immediately took the box of cookies and slammed them on the table as well as slamming and opening refrigerator doors while reboxing the order. Once completed, she again dropped the box of cookies in front of me and walked away with an attitude...still no apology for my inconvenience and experience. I merely want you to know what kind of employees you have representing your company and the product that's being provided. I certainly shared this experience with my colleagues and family! Ultimately, I felt there was some underlying discrimination. I felt Rachael was trying to provoke me with her behavior, but I'm a person of great character and didn't fall for her antics. For all those who were a part of this situation, please know the cookies were NOT eaten. The event was outside on a windy evening...and they were blown off the table onto the ground.
