Walked into the bakery today with my 16-year-old and, for the second year in a row, they asked for ID to verify the birthday coupon. Which is completely reasonable for anyone with common sense, if you're getting something free, expect to prove you qualify for it. We were treated politely and respectfully the entire time. I'm an African American man, and not once did I feel singled out or mistreated. What's actually sad is watching people try to tear down a good business because they're angry they couldn't scam a free $6 cake. Some of these complaints sound less like "bad customer service" and more like entitlement. Businesses are allowed to verify promotions. That's not discrimination, that's basic fraud prevention. So thank you to Nothing Bundt Cakes for continuing to offer a generous birthday gift while still having standards in place. The lack of customer service was so bad at this location. We arrive at 6:40 PM, 20 minutes before closing. There are 3 people standing behind the counter, doing nothing with no other customers in the shop. I asked for different flavors of the Bundt cakes that we ordered. Then they all looked at each other in confusion and looked at me with a blank stare. One lady then takes our box and goes in the back. Immediately she comes back out and says, "too late, they are cleaning up now". If the store hours are until 7 PM, then they should continue to help customers until 7 PM. read more

There are only a couple places I think are worth paying for. Nothing Bundt Cakes is one of them! The Bundt cakes are so moist and have natural flavorings that taste great. (Some cakes from other places taste artificially sweet.) They're not overly-sweet, though the cream frosting is a tad too sweet for me, but not too sweet to devour! Whenever I get a NBC home, they never last past one day! Recently I bought 12 bundtinis (mini bite-size Bundt cakes) for one of my kids' birthday parties. I love that I could order them online, choose the flavors (and they can be any quantity per flavor), and indicate the time of pickup! The only downside is the price is pretty steep to me for the size cakes you get, but this doesn't impact my rating for them because I think they're worth it. I love to swing by this shop for a last-minute celebration surprise! The packaging is super cute and perfect for gifting. You can also add decorations to make it even more special and personalized. Personally, I prefer the bundtlet (around 4" across) and the bundtini (around 2" across) sizes as opposed to the full size bundt cake. More opportunities for a variety of flavors! Note: bundtinis must be ordered in quantities of 12, for $25. All the flavors are good. Red velvet is probably my favorite. My husband loves the confetti, which has that oddly specific "birthday cake" flavor that we all fondly equate to childhood birthdays. But honestly, no matter what flavor you get, it'll be delicious, because the frosting is soooo good. It's light and not too sweet or overpowering. I bought a tower bundt cake which comes with 3 smaller bundt cakes for my brothers birthday a few weeks ago in July. I ordered online and paid online and it was easy transaction. I ordered 3 different flavors. Red velvet bundt, Key Lime bundt and Lemon Bundt. The cakes were tasty and soft but very rich and sweet. The frosting on top was extra sweet so much that we could barely eat it. Red velvet was the most rich and overpowering. The cream cheese frosting was a bit too overpowering and overly sweet. We could barely eat a few bites before needing to stop. Lemon flavor was not too sweet but I would have liked to taste more of the lemon flavor come through. Key lime was my favorite. Key lime had the perfect balance of acidity from the lime flavor and sweetness. This was everyone's favorite. The only caveat is that their Key Lime flavor is seasonal only and limited time flavor. Hopefully they make it permanent I called in to ask about my order and the customer service was great and the staff was helpful and kind. Their store is in a small plaza easy to find. The inside was cute and nicely decorated. They sell various party related items such as cards, cute decor items and more. I still think the bundt cakes are a cute idea and they are very presentable and beautifully packaged. Came to buy a dozen cupcakes for my daughter's preschool class at around 2pm today. She specifically wanted chocolate, red velvet, confetti and lemon, which are their normal flavors. I was told that it will take 20 minutes. Store was rather empty, someone was literally checking out before me and then it was my turn. I asked it's really going to take 20 minutes? Answer was yes. So I paid and went back to the car where my white husband was waiting. When I told him what was going on, he looked at me liked I had 3 heads. We sat there for like a minute and I said, well, let's go in and maybe things will change with you with me, I am Asian female. We walked in, all 3 employees standing chitchatting and asked how they could help and my husband responded "waiting in our order." Then one of them slowly walked to the back and started putting our order together and in less than a few minutes was back with our order. Now, this place is not cheap, it's $34 for 12 tiny cupcakes. I usually love Nothing Bundt Cakes and this was my first bad experience. I ordered a cake and labeled it as more than 3 hours. I have never picked up a cake that wasn't in a box. This came on a plate with cellophane wrapped. Each side had a one inch gap. My first thought was how am I going to keep this clean and fresh until tomorrow morning. I tried to asked why it was so open to the air and the employee was rude and just said "well it's wrapped." I didn't have time. I needed a quick pickup so I left. By the time I got home the cellophane had fallen over and the frosting is a mess. I tried to wrap plastic wrap around it to keep it clean. I will never pick up a cake without box again. It's an expensive cake to be messed up due to poor wrapping and rude employees. Hopefully it at least taste good. read more
