The best baklava I've ever had, honestly once you try this place you'll be hooked forever. Jeff is amazing a wonderful man that puts love and care into his business. Much love from giant pizza king.

Hidden little gem! Delicious, fresh, homemade baklava and a good price. You wouldn't know this place exists unless you searched desserts in the area. It's tucked away in the back part of a building, located in an industrial business area. I walked by and thought this place was closed due to there being no sign of human life around and empty parking stalls. The only advertising was the small sign on the door, so I parked and pulled on the door handle. To my surprise, the door opened and there was a beautiful smell of baklava emitting from the building. I was greeted by the owner and welcomed inside. They were in fact open and I was glad I didn't drive off. They sell boxes of baklava (10pc, 16pc, 32pc) and offer a variety of pieces (Hazelnut, pistachio, almond pecan, chocolate, and walnut). They do not sell individual pieces, but that's okay, because who just eats one piece. My favorite was the walnut triangle. Wow, the flavors popped out and I enjoyed every bite. Sooo worth trying and purchasing a box for a party or event. The customer service here was exceptional and their baklava is reasonably priced and fresh!

The baklava was fresh and delicious--perfectly balanced and not drenched in syrup. Sharkah was so sweet and welcoming. I really appreciated their service.

Some of the best baklava you'll ever have. This location is a factory/warehouse, but you can buy already curated gift boxes here. These boxes make great gifts. * Google directions might lead you to the wrong side of the building. The place really doesn't have much in the way of signage. * You can order specific baklavas if you call ahead.

It's a little inconspicuous out front, but don't worry, inside is a friendly, family run business. Hidden little gem in Santee for sure. Not 100% "traditional " from what I've been told, but everything was super tasty. Would highly recommend stopping by for a treat.

There is reason this bakery has 5 star reviews, all one needs to do is taste the love and attention within every bite. As I am a first time customer, and a lover of all things Baklava, I ordered the Ensemble. It was love at first bite! I was so impressed, I reached out and called Jeff to share my thoughts and to give him many well-deserved compliments. Baklava lovers should support mom-n-pop businesses like this; they are, what I like to say, Good Humans! They have integrity, take pride in their product and it really shows. I am a customer for life!

Best baklava in San Diego county. By far. I bought 3 boxes for Christmas gifts for my neighbors and they raved about how great they were.

How should I store my baklava?

Refrigerating baklava in an airtight container is the ideal way to store the baklava to keep it fresh for a few weeks. For longer-term, the best way is to freeze. Never reheat baklava. Thaw at room temperature for an hour.… Read more

Yes. Our baklava freezes beautifully for up to a year. And actually, our baklava improves texture and taste when frozen and tastes even better than oven fresh.

I stopped by the Santee Trader Joe's about an hour before closing. Normally, I do my grocery…read moreshopping on Fridays, but because of the holiday, I decided to wait. I was worried the shelves would be picked over, but I'm so glad I did! It was Monday, and everything was fully stocked with all of my personal favorites and as always the store well organized . One thing I've noticed is that every Trader Joe's has its own unique selection of products. Some locations seem to carry items that others don't, which I'm guessing has a lot to do with the size of the store. But one thing that remains consistent at every Trader Joe's I've visited is the people. I honestly don't think I've ever encountered a rude or disgruntled employee. The staff is always welcoming, genuinely friendly, and more than willing to help. They don't just point you in the right direction--they actually take the time to have real conversations with their customers. That personal touch makes every shopping trip feel enjoyable. I've discovered so many new products simply because a crew member recommended them or shared one of their personal favorites. It's one of the reasons I always leave with something new to try. And somehow, I learn something new every visit. Tonight, I learned about Trader Joe's rotation system. The crew members switch roles throughout the day--one hour they may be working the registers, the next they're collecting shopping carts, stocking shelves, organizing frozen foods, or helping in another area of the store. I think it's a brilliant system. It keeps the workflow balanced, gives employees variety, and, in my opinion, probably helps maintain such positive morale. The crew member who helped me tonight told me he genuinely enjoys coming to work and that his smile isn't forced--he truly enjoys serving people. When an employee sincerely says they enjoy serving customers, it makes you realize Trader Joe's must be doing something right. If you're ever in Santee, I highly recommend stopping by this location. Truthfully, I've had great experiences at just about every Trader Joe's I've visited. My only "complaint" has nothing to do with the store itself--it's those locations that share tiny parking lots with other busy businesses! If you've shopped at one of those, you know exactly what I mean. As always... you can thank me later.

Reminds me of Costco Kirkland brand except TJ is suitable for smaller packages not huge family size. I walked aisle to aisle and picked up a few frozen food. The frozen food averaged under $5.
