Worked with Cyndie and team for the first time this year and had an incredibly positive experience…read more They helped prepare taxes for me and my family, and everything was just smooth and easy. I shared some high level info over email, uploaded a bunch of documents, we emailed back and forth as questions came up, and they got everything prepared quickly. Totally hassle free. Everyone I interacted with was polite, responsive and helpful. Definitely going back to them every year and would recommend them to anyone needed tax help.

So I've done my own taxes with the help of CPA-in-a-Box for, well, ever. They were never more…read morecomplicated than a bank statement and some pay stubs, so I never worried about it until this year when I had exercised some stock options. I figured it would be pretty simple, but 18 hrs and a toner cartridge later, I could barely scrape together enough info to fill out my extension, which sucked since I really wanted my stimulus check sooner than later. Did I mention I was unemployed at the time? Tail between my legs, I headed for Cyndie based on some random yellow pages reviews. Even though I had attempted to do them myself *and* had made some incorrect assumptions *and* handed off a mass of jumbled printouts and random scribblings, she was very professional, fast, and super nice. She even caught a little handwritten memo I'd made to myself about an ancient savings account that I had forgotten to tell her about during our initial meeting. Hurrah for being thorough! I thought her fees were on par with other tax prep services (simple filing, renter, not self-employed, MA and federal ~ $160) and was totally worth it considering the time I'd already spent plus the extra fees for e-filing Turbo Tax or H&R Block would have stuck me with ( ~ $80 + HUGE UNCERTAINTY). Plus she answered all my additional questions for free, which other chain services don't do. Anyway, Cyndie really put my mind at ease. I got my refunds back within 2 weeks and my stimulus check came on time in the mail the other week as if I had never filed an extension. Awesome. I'm giving her a high-five next time I see her.

I never heard of this company until one of their policy holders went and hit my parked car. The…read morelady parks next to my car and when she is getting out of her car, whips her door wide open and slams into my door. WOOOO HOOOOO!!!!! SOMEONE HIT MY PARKED CAR!!!! Now I get to go through the crap of filing an accident report and spending countless hours speaking to the insurance company on the phone, filing a police report, and taking pictures. I would rank this right up with having as much fun as a Root Canal. Called my insurance company, Gieco (I'm giving them 1 star also for this experience and looking for a new insurance company) and tell them what happened. After an hour and a half of explaining, they tell me to call this insurance company, because this is the insurance company of the woman who hit me. I call them and spend another hour telling the same stupid story; only to have to write this all out in report to send to them. They make me take it to this location to have pictures taken of my car for their own proof. I bring it to them so that they can take their own pictures of my car. There is paint on my car from where the lady hit me. When I get there, the man who takes photos of the car wipe away the paint!!!! I ask him, "Wait why are you wiping off the paint transfer? Shouldn't you test it to prove its the paint from the other car? His response. "NO I'm only suppose to take pic of the damage." Now I get the call back from the Insurance company. They tell me that the damage does not line up with the damage to my car, I explain she was in her car when she hit my car; Factor the weight in and the door lines up to where it hit my car. They say, it can be questionable and for that, they will support their policy holder over me.
