I wouldn't waist your time, terrible customer service. One lady I've seen a few times was very rude to me and at the end of the appointment she accused me of not tipping her last time. I pulled up my Venmo and showed her I did in fact tip her and instead of apologizing she just said, oh wrong person. Recent dip manicure missed the sides on all my nails so she did 6 coats!! My nails are now fat and chunky. Price is different on the menu then what they charge you. Wouldn't waist your time unless you want rude customer service and a bad manicure. read more

Extremely unprofessional experience. I came in after having my nails done elsewhere, which they seemed to take issue with but never clearly explained. They immediately drilled my nails off and then walked away without actually providing the service. I was told they "only had clear builder gel," but the moment I said I was going to leave, they suddenly pulled out other colors. After that, I was repeatedly told to "wait" while I sat there for over an hour as they continued helping other customers who arrived after me. An apology was only offered once I was already leaving. Overall, there was no respect for my time, and I left without getting my nails done. I would not recommend this salon. read more

When removing my gel nails they filed off the top layer of my nail. My nails will be weak and will mostly break for several months until they grow out. They do not follow safe practices. I will not be retuning. read more

They are excellent all around - I've done gel, dip, and hard gel and my nails always turn out great, and last a long time.

Got a Deluxe Pedicure. Literally every one of my toe nails is a different shape. I'm trying not to cry or be annoyed because the lady was so nice (which accounts for the second star) but my once perfectly squared toenails now look like jigsaw puzzle pieces. I'd post a picture but I don't want my feet looking like that on the internet. (I do have one though if the business wants to see it). Also paid extra for a massage which was more like a rub. I honestly have no idea how she made them look this wonky. And since I asked her to cut them short, it's going to be a while before I can hope to have them look normal again. I took my bridal party and mamas to get mani pedis before my wedding and the staff were so welcoming of the little party we threw (reserved ahead), accommodating of our large crowd 10+ crowd on top of walk ins! So we're new to the area and have been trying different nail salons (my 16 year old daughter and I) and the first time we went to Bella Luna my manicure and pedicure looked great! It was gel but not super thick, which I liked. My daughter though ended up with a cut cuticle which bled for quite a while. By the two week mark her gel had chipped in several spots too. I was happy though and so we came in exactly two weeks later. Oh boy I don't think I've ever had my nails look worse! The gel is lumpy and looks terrible around the cuticle! I've attached pictures but we won't be back. It actually looks like an amateur did my nails! That said, they did fit us in without appointments but still, this just wasn't worth it. read more

Worst manicure pedicure ever. One woman worked on my hands while another woman worked on my feet. They both tore recklessly into my cuticles with no regard to my comfort. The woman doing the pedicure drew blood on the very toe I was having operated on the next day. The surgery center almost turned me away due to the possibility of infection. read more

And now in their new space on El Camino all of the chairs are BRAND NEW plus everything is spotless because that's how Bella Luna has always been. It's relaxing and inviting and safe and lovely. When my nail technician retired, I visited many salons in the Encinitas/Carlsbad area before finding Bella Luna. Now I am a regular, happy customer! Tammy has been doing my manicure for 12-18 months now, and my nails always look wonderful! Anna or Jenny does an excellent job with my pedicures too. The salon is very clean, and pretty! I also prefer to support a women owned business. Kim and Bonnie are professional, kind, and knowledgable owners. They know how to run their business well! I always make an appointment, and that time is honored. All the employees there are smart, well trained people who treat their customers extremely well.
