I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at this flower shop on Mother's Day was so appalling, I feel obligated to warn others. I went in expecting a pleasant, festive atmosphere to pick out something special for my mom - instead, I was met with shockingly rude and dismissive behavior from the staff. Not only were they completely overwhelmed and disorganized, but they treated customers like we were a nuisance for even being there. I was spoken to in a condescending tone, ignored while trying to ask a simple question, and rushed out the door like I was an inconvenience. No apology, no smile - just attitude and hostility on one of the most important days of the year for their business. There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of unprofessionalism, especially on a day meant to celebrate kindness and appreciation. Flower shops are not known to open late. The fact they open till 8 is itself amazing and so clutch for us guys. Plans changed and I needed flowers asap. Just purchased a $150 arrangement for my moms birthday, lady who took the order was nice and helpful. The flower arrangement itself was fine BUT their was a few flowers that didn't look to fresh!!! So Affordable! Arrangements look great! It's hard to explain, but their arrangements seem to embody a sense of multi-culturalism that is Baldwin Park. It's in this way that their flowers seem more like art as opposed to arrangements that more resemble the sterile cookie cutter-type bouquets that you'd get at, say, Conroys. Speaking of Conroys... In the past, I had always gone to Conroy's on Azusa in Covina, only because it was the florist I grew up with. After going around Valentines of 2010, and seeing the meager stock at what I felt was too highly priced, I searched and found this place. My first reaction, most of the combinations here were almost half the price of Conroy's! And you'd think that the quality would be lacking, but no! The arrangements here were even better! I've provided a picture here of an arrangement with a sunflower that I received from a friend. This business is bilingual: Spanish and English FYI: Sometimes they spray a perfume on the flowers when you are purchasing them. The scent can be strong to some so you can ask that they don't do it. Update: So I finally went to Baldwin Park Florist and they're ok tho I do find their prices are higher and their arrangements seemed more bland. For their arrangements and price, it's Baldwin Park Flowers & Gifts wins my patronage. read more

For my 1920s theme birthday party I trusted Baldwin Park Flowers and Gifts and I was not disappointed. They put up a 20x20 tent in my backyard and did all the draping inside of it. It was absolutely beautiful! In the center of the draping hung a gorgeous chandelier along with some hidden string lights going down the sides. I also rented all the tables, chairs, and linens from them. They were quick to set up and made sure everything looked great. Baldwin Park Flowers and Gifts also made all the centerpieces for the party and they were beautiful! Needless to say they were crucial to my party having that 1920s feel. I would normally not write a review but I think people should know. I came in one early morning to ask for a small bouquet and three small corsages. First impression walking in. No greeting and not even acknowledgement of me there. I kept looking & then came up to the counter to let them know what I was looking for. Surely enough they were pretty rude and just opened up a book for me to browse and walked away. Ok,... I thought, they must be busy so I'll help myself (I had a very busy schedule that day and I work in retail so I let it go, they were having a bad day or whatever). I decided on some flowers they had in the back that they were currently working on. The lady who took my order (the younger one) came and said she can put this together around 1pm and no earlier because she said they were really busy and how i was 'lucky to have it by then'. Mind you I came in about 8 or 9 am. I said that's fine. I should have walked out but I had a busy schedule so I again, let it go, choose your battles i suppose... I paid for my items and began to drive home. I live 10 minutes away. Then I realized I did not need the last three corsages. I'll just keep the small bouquet. I called (about 15 minutes later) to cancel the last three items thinking, no big deal, she said she was really busy and wouldn't be able to work on them until later. However, to my surprise she said there was no way I could get it hanged because she apparently already made them??? And couldn't get a refund. This is where it gets out of control... She was sooooo rude over the phone. I was very calm with her and asked why not? Now remember, She told me earlier how EXTREMELY BUSY they were and how there was NO WAY I could get them any sooner: She then began to yell at me and say TOO BAD! When I asked to speak to her manager she said "NO, SHE'S BUSY!, YOU CAN TALK TO ME" (which BS, I could hear her in the background). I was getting nowhere and repeated that I needed to speak with her manager and she yelled NO that she was busy!! I had enough and said I am coming down there to complain to her manager. She yelled at me and challenged me to come down there! CHALLENGED me!!! She expected a fight at that point. I have never been so mad at person like this because of how disrespectful a person. She yelled at me, lied about when she would work on/have flowers ready and lied about some policy that was nowhere (not in a receipt or signing in shop). I told her that a return policy needs to be addressed to the customer and on a receipt. She replied, while yelling that they had some sign up in the store (not true). At this point, yes I got back in my car and drove down there. Do you know what she put up... A small cardboard hand written sign that now said, no refunds on flowers. Can you believe this lack of professionalism from a business. But not only that but the horrible people that work there. I don't know how this place gets business. To quote another person: FROM GOOGLE: A Google User reviewed 2 years ago Overall Poor to fair Do not do business with these folks. I ordered flowers for delivery to someone I care for and the card I sent was misprinted with an obscenity! The card was to have read: "I hope your birthday is as wonderful as you are" Instead, it read, "I hope your birthday is as wonderful as HELL" My girlfriend was completely offended. When I called to complain, I was told that I could not speak to the owner as she only spoke Spanish AND would be away for 2 weeks. I spoke with Carole (she would not give me her last name), who said that she was the only one who could help me. Carole's attitude about my problem was "things happen" which I did not appreciate. I did not want to order any more flowers so I asked Carole to deliver a note of apology or call....she refused and, ultimately, Carole hung up the phone on me not once. Bad bad customer service, I have to admit this was our go to place to rent chairs, tables and table linens but since my last experience I will definitely not be a customer. My mother rented table cloths, the lady said she could pick them up in the morning. She went and they were not ready, I called a couple hours later asking if they were ready and the lady on the phone said they were. Not even 15 minutes later I show up and the shop is closed, no sign, no one to answer the phone, nada!!! I stand around, call and leave a message, go to my car and wait a bit. Some lady shows up and does the same but I think she knew the lady's cell number because she knocks on my window and tells me the lady left to pick up her kids at school and she's coming back. I waited for 45 minutes, when she showed up I went in and no apology I told her I left a message and waited and still no apology. How would I know that the lady at the store gave me your phone number to call for business that s not me you should be pointing finger you should talk to your worker that s not my problem. The time to spend on the phone complaining that it was her personal phone and she had a bday party for her son she could've been talking to me and making me feel welcome about her business and the flowers I wanted to get done. Instead she has to try to make me feel bad about something that s not my fault. So then she realizes it s her business but then she says I'm not the owner , so then I'm like okay so you re going to give me price or should I call someone else? Blah blah blah so then I ask her to send me a pix of how full the flowers would look at $65 because the $50 did not look as full as I wanted. She said she doesn't have pix of any flowers that she can show me (of the ten years you worked you don't have any flowers you've done to show me) shocked! I mean does she really want to make business here, not really.. Since she doesn't know me she could care less because she s bragging about how she has all these customers for w long time well lady I was one of your customers but you don't remember me you re soo rude! And she keeps saying I don't understand you, I don't understand you , over the phone! So rude! The thing to say is do you mean this or do you mean that way not 'I don't understand you!'
