Florist has always been my go-to. Been going through a few the last couple of times but this one has been the main one I've been using whether it's for happy or sad occasions. They have been great for both delivery and pick-up. The staff are very nice here and always great at recommendations. Usually I'd provide a budget to them and they go above and beyond with the arrangements. They also mix it well with the colors/flowers which whatever options you decide to choose from. I called to see if they had Hong Kong roses that were already premade in stock. I was informed that the 3 bouquet one just sold and she only had the 1/2 dozen left. I asked if they were able to make a bouquet for same day pickup and they were able to. I couldn't decide on a color and chose blue but when I came to pickup the owner said that I can choose whichever color that she's made so I ended up choosing the lavender one instead which was my original choice. The flowers are gorgeous and bouquet looks bigger than it is for only 3 roses. Price was reasonable. Highly recommended if you're looking for Hong Kong roses. Service was great. Owner was super sweet and remembered that I needed it for a later date and told me to keep the flowers indoors or in the office to keep it fresh until graduation day. read more

Pick your paper color, your rose color and card. Takes credit card via phone. Niece's favorite color is pink so just picked pink rose, pink paper. Even though the default is purple paper for pink roses. I bought them, traveled to Vegas with them and hoped they lasted until next day night when given away. The flowers come with water supplying then roses on the bottom. Which works great to automatically stand the flowers up itself, and keeps the rose lasting longer. Parking is semi-difficult. A friend recommended this florist to me when I was trying to figure out where to purchase flowers for my grandma's funeral. Between where I live in Pasadena to this location in Monterey Park there are plenty of florists and I had gone to visit two others before this one. Nothing wrong with the other two but I was most impressed with Mindy the owner; she was incredibly sweet and helpful from the moment I walked in. She sat down with me to explain traditional Chinese customs while I looked at her portfolio and you can tell her business gets a lot of orders specifically for Chinese funerals. She wasn't pushy at all and really understands generational styles and differences. As an "ABC" with limited knowledge I really appreciated her customer service and knew this was the right place to bring my family to. During my second visit to place an order she was equally patient and gentle in explaining things to my mother in Cantonese as she was in English with me. For anyone curious Mindy is proficient in Vietnamese, Chinese and English. We ordered multiple wreaths, sprays and casket flowers for grandma's funeral and all of them turned out gorgeous with correct writing on the ribbons in Chinese and English. I am so glad that during this grieving period we found a wonderful florist to work with. I would absolutely order from Mindy and MP Florist again, for any occasion. Edited, in reply to the vendor: I was shocked by the cramped presentation of the flowers I was handed at the store. A customer shouldn't have to request separate packaging; especially when every other florist I've ever purchased from packaged corsages/boutonnières separately. The corsages looked nice enough through the plastic box, but I was truly actually confused about what I was handed. It wasn't until I got home and unboxed them that I noticed how small the pinned corsage was. I was especially confused at the store when the vendor herself called one corsage a "boutonnière" when she handed both corsages to me. It's not what I expected, but I was in a hurry to get ready for my event and didn't open the box at the store. Again, I blindly trusted the favorable reviews. The damage is done, and I'm simply warning more discerning customers to be more alert than I was. There's no way to make the order right, and I'm suggesting that other shoppers proceed carefully with this business. The *only* flowers I was offered when I placed my order were white spray roses, and apparently, small white orchids -- although I thought what I ordered was a large orchid and additional smaller ones to fill out the pinned corsage. At any rate, lesson learned. I will shop elsewhere next time. --- Original Review: Disappointing. I ordered two corsages, but received a corsage and a boutonnière. The boutonnière was supposed to be a mother's orchid corsage for pinning, but looked like a man's small lapel arrangement. It was nice for a boutonnière, but underwhelming for a pinned corsage. The flower selection was very limited and the shop was cramped and cluttered. The florist was very kind, but I feel my instructions were misunderstood. The packaging also was cramped and unattractive -- the florist placed both the corsage and boutonnière in the same box without any cushioning, so the flowers -- which didn't look too fresh to begin with -- got crushed. It's the first time I had ever seen such poor presentation from a florist. I really wanted to support a local business, but won't be a repeat customer. Like the cramped flowers, I was crushed; it was of course for a special occasion. I don't understand, and was misled by, all the favorable reviews. Look elsewhere for top quality. I ordered sympathy flowers for a friend and the arrangement was beautiful. Ordering over the phone was very easy and the staff was very friendly. I understand that ordering online without pictures can be a little tricky but I try to trust the florist and their process. I described what I was looking for and they gave me a description of the flowers that were available. Communication is key so I always recommend telling the florist if you have a preference. I shared that I wanted a vase and the arrangement to be in a circular shape versus a fan shape. It was everything I asked for and I am happy with the final product. Also, the shop was able to deliver the arrangement. I always advise people to call local florists directly to get the most bang for your buck. When ordering off FTD and other corporate partnerships, the florist loses a percentage of profit and then is unable to provide customers with the best flowers they usually have to mitigate the cost somehow. A direct purchase will allow them to keep 100% of their profit and pass on the benefits to the customer. Would 100% recommend this florist! read more

I hadn't used this florist for quite a while now, and decided to give them a try again. They had relocated, quite a distance from where they use to be. I needed a floral spray for a funeral I was attending. I sent her pictures of ones I liked and suggested a color scheme. With a budget of $220.00, I expected something nice. Thankfully, they delivered on time, but when I saw the arrangement I was very disappointed. I had specified pastels and found bright red roses and deep purples, with cheap fillers like white daisies, small white and purple chrysanthemums and bright fuschia gerbers, large white lillies, and a splattering of medium-small pink tinged roses, the only thing that was pastel... The service was at 11:00am and by the time of graveside at 1:30pm 25% of the flowers were already drooping. It was not a hot day. The ribbon was done nicely, as requested, but it covered up a lot of the arrangement instead of being on one side or to the side. Overall, I was disappointed. Not sure if the florist did it herself or delegated to an inexperienced helper. I trusted Mindy, and just have to say, I was disappointed. If you use her, I suggest you are very specific in the exact flowers you want AND colors. Either that she does not understand what "pastel" colors mean, so be VERY specific. My regular florist retired after covid so looking for a new one, who's style and skill I trust and that I can communicate with. read more

The owners are always super sweet, kind, and helpful. The single roses are also very affordable at around $13-15 each. The turnaround is quick and they'll answer any questions. In one instance, the wrapping on one of the roses was a little dirty and the owner kindly rewrapped the rose and provided a butterfly to make up for it. This wasnt my first order. First time was good. You could tell from my previous review. I called today around noon and ask whether i could order a bouquet. The guy said yes. Send pictures thru text and i emphasized that i wanted A SMALL BOUQUET FOR A RELATIVE. i repeated SMALL 10X. He said bouquet that looks like my pictures would be around $50. It was odd to me at first because last time i ordered $65 it was a GIANT ASS bouquet with like a doz of roses. But i proceeded anyway because i trusted them. When i picked up, it was NOTHING like what i showed them. I was alrd having a bad day and this just madr it WORSE. You can see the size of the bouquet by looking at the hand that holds it. How small and cute is the "example" and how GIANT and enormous is the "actual" like comonn brooooo. And another thing is look at how many flowers is in the example pictures vs the actual bouquet. Like how hard is it just to count how many flowers are there on the example pictures...... and compare the bouquet to the hand for the bouquet size..... On a normal day, i would have given this 2 stars. But since i was alrd having a bad day and this made it worse. It ended up being a 1 star. Sorry, i hated the bouquet and i dont even want to give this to the relative anymore. read more
