We passed by this Bali Cafe last week, and it immediately made me crave Indonesian food. It had been way too long, so we finally came today--and I'm so glad we did! We ordered five dishes, and every single one was delicious! The chicken Satay was incredibly juicy and tender. My brother's Cornish hen was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The roast chicken was also super juicy, and my beef rendang was rich, flavorful, and nicely spicy. My husband loved his fried noodles (Mie goreng) They put so much care into the dish--the chicken was hand-shredded into thin pieces and mixed throughout the noodles, so you get chicken in every bite! FLAVAHHH. I drove 30 minutes to give them a try. I've had them saved on Yelp, but kept scrolling past it. NOT TODAY Satan. Cute little restaurant, with big flavors. The mie goreng was just an explosion of wok, smoky, caramelized noodle. The pempek (fishcake) appetizer was a welcoming, homestyle, fried taste. Now the Nasi Padang - I pretty much ate it all, it was good. I just wished there was more beef for the price, it's just a small piece, and one piece of shrimp. Also I understand that its normal for this to be room temperature, I get it, but even the rice wasn't warm. This is a restaurant, so they didn't have to take it quite literal with pre-made dishes that sit around all day. Only reason why they won't be getting a 5 out of me today. I'm always looking for a innovative and different restaurant with a new flavor profile we've never experienced, Bali Cafe Indo is just that "gem" we were fortunate to find. They have been open for three months and it will be hard to hide this place for long. Indonesia cuisine has unique tastes and flavor combinations that will kick start you mouth. The decor is light and colorful with about 12 tables, off strip and very clean. Our waitress was very helpful in explaining the menu and portion sizes. The atmosphere is quiet and very sedate. We started with Sate Ayam, griiled and marinated chicken skewers with aromatic spices and a rich peanut sauce. It was accompanied with soft white Asian potatoes. The spice mix was unique and not Thai style at all. I could of licked the plate, but my wife would of been upset. The entree was the Nasi Kuning with saffron tumeric rice, shredded seasoned beef, crispy potato Mustafa with anchovies and peanuts, spicy balado egg, fried chicken and cucumber pickles. A sample sort of meal and quite delicious. Several of the accutramonts had unique textures and taste profiles I've never tried, but will gladly eat again in the future. Bali Cafe Indo in a "gem" in the hot Vegas desert and well worth the trip off the strip. The staff are smiling and helping you understand the uniqueness of the cuisine. This was a welcomed find and I can't wait to return for more delicious entrees. Bali Cafe Indo opened up earlier this year, although it appears they may have been initially opened as Bali Cafe under a different management. They advertise themselves as an Indonesian restaurant and apparently Halal as well. (Unfortunately, I forgot to inquire if they are truly halal while I was dining in. But I didn't see any pork on the menu, so it's promising.) Their menus have changed since opening in February. With our party of 6, they placed us in the private backroom at two separate tables. I ended up moving the tables so we could all sit together, but it's a bit crowded in that room. They could probably take one out. With the room being so secluded, it was hard to get the staff's attention for more water, plates, etc. We ordered: * Pempek $15.95 - This was the first time I was having these fishcakes and they were pretty good. * Roti Parantha $9.95 - We ended up getting two orders of this and wished there was more curry sauce provided. * Belacun Sauteed Kangkung $16.95 - It was a pretty small portion for the price, but it was good. * Sate Kambing $17.95 - Four lamb skewers came in this order, so we ended up getting two orders. It says it comes with "fresh accompaniments", but it was rice cakes that were not special. * Nasi Kuning $19.95 - We attempted to get two orders of this, but they only had enough turmeric rice for one portion. * Nasi Padang $19.95 - Some nice flavors. We got another entree that was similar to the Nasi Kuning and Nasi Padang, but I don't remember what it was. But it had coconut rice supposedly. The entrees are definitely not meant for sharing as each accompaniment was a tiny portion. The pace of the food wasn't ideal...each item came out as it was ready. So first one entree would arrive, then another, then the appetizers would make an appearance, and then more entrees. So, there were people left waiting for their food while others received theirs already. One of the dishes had a spicy green chili sauce so we asked for a bit more. I can see on the receipt that they did charge an additional $2 for it. It's fine but should have been mentioned earlier when we asked about it. When paying, their POS only allows the suggested option for tip, with no customization. This is a rather odd practice to not allow customizations on tip options. Overall, there were some good eats. We would have liked to have the option to try a few more dishes and share it but the entrees we ordered didn't really allow for that. They have a Weekend Special menu, but there are no English descriptions to help you out. read more

Nice spot with a great location and really friendly service. The atmosphere was lovely and the presentation of the dishes looked good too. We ordered the gado-gado, chicken satay, Soto Betawi, nasi kuning, and ice teller for dessert. Food-wise, everything was decent, but I personally felt the portions were a little small for the price. The gado-gado was good and definitely didn't disappoint, but it wasn't very close to the authentic version I'm used to. Same with the Soto Betawi -- the flavor was enjoyable, but it didn't quite have that authentic taste for me. I did really like the sambal though, since it reminded me of Southeast Asian flavors. First time at the restaurant. It's pretty authentic and service is good. A little pricey on the dessert drinks as it's quite small. If you like Indonesian food, give this place a go. Just a side note that asking for their sambal is $2 extra. I think that's unnecessary to charge as it's really very small portion. Think a tablespoon size. So in summary, food is good portion and delicious. The Mee Goreng should use a thicker noodle so it's less gumpy and sticky and more vegetables like cabbage would be nice. Very few chicken meat. This is my second review for this restaurant. The first is under Bali Cafe, which is the same restaurant under previous management. On this visit I had the Ayam Kremes. It was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and not greasy at all. Unfortunately I found the dish to be rather bland, missing the intense flavors I (a non-Indonesian) usually associate with Indonesian food I have had in other U.S. cities. In general I find the menu rather limited in scope. If I return I will probably take a stab at the Sate Ayam or Kambing to be a better comparison as I have had those elsewhere, but so far I am not that impressed. read more

They didn't skimp on the star ingredient--it was packed with plenty of savory salted fish chunks in every bite. Easily the highlight of the meal. ​Empek-Empek (Fish Cake): The texture was great, and it was served with a perfectly made cuko sauce. The sauce had that ideal balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy that really brings the dish to life. ​A Small Note ​Since it's a soft opening, there's always room for minor tweaks! Since it's a halal establishment, the family was excited to finally try it, and it truly did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted with genuine smiles. Bali Cafe is under a new management and the name is Bali Cafe Indo niw. The food is so delicious. My husband (American) and I was there during grand opening last Friday. We ordered 6 dishes and he loved everything, the crispy duck, crispy chicken, ayam penyet, soto Betawi, batagor, and chicken satay. I took home soto betawi and took it for my lunch the next day and it still delicious. The server is attentive and the ambiance was like eating in Indonesia. The Good: - Mie goreng jawa (fried noodles) Highlight of the meal 10/10. So good and would order this again. Sweet, salty, savory - everything you would ask for. - Empek empek (fish cake) No notes and delicious. The Mid: - Ketoprak (tofu and vermicelli salad) Came with kerupuk (garlic crackers). Felt like they just used the same sauce as the gado gado. It's one of my favorite home dishes and I was definitely looking for a strong garlic flavor in the peanut sauce. I think this would also benefit from kecap manis packaged separately on the side, vs having the vermicelli lightly tossed in it. - Nasi Minang (rendang, fried chicken, egg, jackfruit, sambal) While delicious, the portion here was very disappointing. My togo order had one small cold piece of beef and chicken. It's a shame because the rendang sauce was great. The egg was advertised as balado style, but was cooked the same way as the jackfruit, instead of being fried with sambal. Overall, I'd return to try some of the other dishes on their menu, such as the ayam kremes or es cendol. Hopefully the above are soft opening kinks that get worked out, especially considering there are no other restaurants in the area serving only Indonesian food. read more

I visited Bali Cafe for the first time, I heard about this Indonesian restaurant from my youngest sister in February 2026, was not able to visit then. I was in Las Vegas April 24 to 26, and had a chance to try it out for a late lunch. I ordered the Soto Lamongan and Bala Bala, asked for sambal (got 2 different kinds), the Soto was tasty, bala bala needs to be crispier. I met the owner and his son, super friendly, and accommodating, had a nice chat about the food and my hometown Jakarta, also the owner's. If you are in Las Vegas, please try this restaurant, they are on their way to making it a great Indonesian restaurant, definitely recommend. read more
