Came across Pan Asian while in town and searching for Sri Lankan food near by. While there is literally just a few Sri Lankan restaurants on the west coast and just one in Las Vegas I had to take my chance and stop by. First off the name on the outside of the restaurant doesn't match up with the business name but that's okay. Upon arriving I ran into Pavi the chef outside and asked him if they were open and he invited me in. I then asked him about the Sri Lankan menu and what's up with that and he told me that he was from there. After a glimpse look at the menu I ordered the Spring Hoppers which chicken and lentils and here are my honest thoughts. The whole meal overall was very authentic Sri Lankan but with some of the ingredients missing. However, everything was so tasty and mouthwatering that I enjoyed every bite of it. While I wish that the chicken would have had some bones to it and a few more ingredients it's overall very pleasant. The lentils and the string hoppers were so divine and paired so well with the chicken curry. Even hours after the meal all the flavors remained fresh in my mind and craving for more. Otherwise there are so many other dishes to order from here and I can't wait to come back! read more

In my memory this was about a 3 hour Michelin experience in a what you view at first impression a bit of a hole in the wall restaurant. But as real foodies know , some of the best /tastiest foods come from overlooked places. We were back again at Pan Asian Thai - Sri Lankan Cuisine last week, and it seems they are now serving a fully halal menu. Alhamdulillah! The last time we visited was in 2024, and it was wonderful to return. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a welcoming atmosphere. We were warmly greeted by Pavi, who was very polite, attentive, and knowledgeable when we had questions about the menu. Arjuna enjoyed his chicken satay, Mum had the drunken noodles, and I was craving fried noodles, so I opted for the chow mein with just eggs and extra spicy. Sis ordered the chicken wonton soup, and we also shared some gyoza. Everything arrived fresh, hot, and beautifully prepared. Every dish was delicious and satisfying. It was also nice to see Chand, whom we first met in 2024. We enjoyed catching up with him, and we appreciated him checking on us while we savored our meal. A big thank you to Pavi, the new owner, and Chand for their warm hospitality and for making this place fully halal. 3.5 rounded up to 4 for good service. I used to frequent Pan Asian years ago and remember the food being next level delicious. Truly elevated Thai cuisine unlike anything I've tasted anywhere, including in Thailand. I came back recently after being away for a while and unfortunately the ownership has changed and the food isn't the same anymore. The Thai dishes were just.. not quite right. While the flavors were good, my Pad Thai was overly saucy almost to the point of being soggy. It's supposed to be a stir fry, not pasta with sauce. Same with the fried rice, it just seemed too wet making the texture seem sort of, idk, mushy? Usually I'm not too picky about texture but in this case it was noticeable. The seasoning and flavors were actually very good though, I could taste the coconut cream in the fried rice and they didn't skimp on the protein at all. There was plenty of chicken and shrimp. Everything was fresh and hot. The Thai tea was ok, a little watery but still sweet with a nice strong tea flavor. The ambiance is nice and intimate. It's not a large space but they've done a good job of making it feel elegant and inviting. The service was also very good and friendly. The owner was so nice - it's the kind of small business I would love to support. The restaurant now features a specialized Sri Lankan menu which I would consider going back to try. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong dishes - this is probably not the spot for authentic Thai dishes, but based on the flavors my take is their Sri Lankan menu is likely worth a try. read more

I tried the rice and curry and it was pretty great. it had all kinds of flavors and textures I'm not familiar with, like something like collard greens and coconut flakes, some kind of fruit in a curry, good lentil and chickpea curries, some cashews, also chicken curry. it was great having so many different curries to try in one dish. the spice level was great (I like food spicy and requested spicy). I appreciate that the Sri Lankan dishes can be made to be actually spicy. I do think that since the change in ownership around a year ago, the Sri Lankan dishes are now stronger/better than the Thai dishes at this place (as they are cooked now since the ownership change), so I would recommend ordering from the Sri Lankan menu. my husband likes the kottu. read more

She was willing to pay upfront and in the meantime, get her eyebrows done in a shop next door (like literally less than 50 steps away from the restaurant!) I have eaten here twice and have had good food both times. The second time they forgot to make mine gluten-free, like I asked, but realized their mistake before they served it, which is why it took longer than expected. That's OK, I'd rather them get it right than for me to think it's gluten-free, and it's not. Ambience is fine. My only concern is that if you order something to be NOT spicy, you may be disappointed that it will come out too spicy. It could've been a one off mistake but, just be careful. Super cozy and a wonderful place to be able to try Sri Lankan food. The waiter was super friendly and explained the Sri Lankan menu with lots of detail to us. I ordered two dishes: the chicken with cheese kothu and the sampler that came with string hoppers, chicken curry, and pol sambol. All dishes with max spice level, of course. The dish came out and smelled amazing and looked even better at first glance. The first bite was not disappointing at all; I loved every single thing on the plate. My favorite had to be the chicken curry and the chicken kothu, though the kothu was chewy but still packed with flavor, and paired with the chicken curry, it was amazing to try. The pol sambol (which I believe is made from coconut) had a decent spice to it and an interesting, refreshing flavor that went well with the string hoppers. Do not be afraid to try Sri Lankan food if it is your first time, like it was mine; the waiter and chef put so much love into their cuisine that you would not walk out of this place with a frown on your face. This place is such a hidden gem! The food was amazing First, I gotta shout out Pavi who, during our dinner, was our host, waiter, and chef all at once. I respect the hustle We ordered coconut shrimp and chicken satay appetizers. The satay sauce was delicious and spicy but not too much. I even dipped my coconut shrimp in that sauce. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The yellow curry with beef had so much depth of flavor, the beef was tender and soft. The fried rice was cooked to perfection. This place is honestly one of the best thai food restaurants I've had here in Vegas. The ambiance could use some work only because there wasn't any music playing in the dining room, but not completely necessary. Very tasty food. Price is decent and portion is good. Restaurant was not set up at the time it was opened. There's only 1 person working on a Saturday. Chef, server and cashier. So be patient. It's a pretty basic setup so there's not much ambiance but the food is really good. We ordered Malaysian Roti, Red Curry, Tom Yum Soup and Fried Flat Noodles. You must try the Sri Lankan menu as well, the Kotu is incredible and unique, especially if you like stir fry or fried rice dishes. The rice had amazing flavor and the curry... I'm a fan of curry and it was sooo good. We got it in mild and my son and I were able to tolerate it as we don't do too much spice in our foods. This place is incredible from start to finish. I have ordered takeout from here countless times, but this was my first time dining in and I highly recommend it. The service is outstanding. The owner waited on our table, and he genuinely made us feel like guests in his home rather than customers in a restaurant. He is warm, welcoming, and truly cares about your experience. And the food? In the last month alone I had Sri Lankan Style Nasi Goreng, Thai Crab Fried Rice, Sri Lankan Chicken Fried Rice, Beef Kottu, Ros Pan with Lamb Curry, Deviled Lamb and Chicken, and my favorite, the Keto Friendly Ribeye steak with a little Asian twist. Talk about fresh!!!! We got to speak with the owner who was extremely nice! The dishes we got were so delicious and made with love. The beef pho was not your typical pho it was so elevated in flavor. The meat was seasoned alone and then added to the soup. We got the Orange Chicken which you could taste that the orange flavor was not artificial. Finally the Chow Mein was cooked to perfection. They set up the restaurant like a reception and it looked so lovely. We had coconut shrimp, Malaysian roti, crab Rangoon, gyoza, and egg rolls. All of it was so good. My favorite was the crab Rangoon and Malaysian roti. So good and flavorful. It was amazing. They really took care of us and made the event amazing. Don't sleep on the Sri Lankan menu! We got the goat Kothu Roti and the Sri Lankan rice and chicken curry. Both were incredible, the Kothu Roti in particular was packed with spices creating an excellent depth and complexity of flavor that is hard to get in a single dish. They also do Thai food, and while we didn't get it the tables around us did and it also smelled delicious. The owner is incredibly hospitable and friendly. My husband and I ate at Pan Asian years ago with the previous owner. It wasn't bad, but we just never returned because it's not that close to home. We were in the area recently and saw signs saying "organic", "Halal", and "MSG free" which is very rare for Asian cuisine. We looked online at the menu and saw they had pho. MSG free pho?! That never happens!!! We decided we must make a trip back. Pan Asian is under new ownership. We ordered food to go and my husband spoke with the new Indian owner who is big on healthier food options. We ordered two orders of beef pho made with tri tip and one pad kee mao AKA drunken noodles to go. The pho has an Indian flair with spice and while it isn't traditional pho you would get at a Vietnamese restaurant, it was very delicious. The pad kee mao was okay, not our favorite. We are looking forward to returning to try out more dishes and will definitely keep ordering the tasty MSG free pho! read more

The noodles were also a bit dry, probably because they didn't cook it with the bean sprouts. Pork Drunken Noodles ($14.95): We ordered pork but we're both pretty sure they gave us beef instead.
