Found out the car they used cheap after market parts . Management blamed me for the issue. The customer service is unspeakably horrendous. Brought my Kia in to have a part fixed, it's broken three times now and luckily under warranty. But the customer service during my exchanges has been very very disrespectful. Gary, the manager has no skills whatsoever and treats people very poorly. He came barreling out of his office at me telling me that I'm over using the part. It's like telling someone they're using their gearshift too much or their brake too much.... They sent me home with a broken part last time right out of the lot that I didn't realize was still broken. I returned and it still does not seem like it's 100% right but management disagrees... Went today for a 3 hour drying on passenger side headlight due to condensation densation since colder weather came. I bought this car brand new off lot in May. 2023 Kia Soul. This should not be happening. Well, afterward, they said they need to send some sort of ticket to ask for permission to replace the headlight. PERMISSION??? THE CAR IS STILL UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY!!! When I got home, it was worse than when I brought it in, and now the other headlight is starting. They will be replacing both headlights, or I will be hiring a lawyer. When I bought the car, the salesman also said the first oil change is free. THAT WAS A LIE. Oh, said first car wash is free. FORGOT TO MENTION IT ONLY GOOD FOR 2 MONTHS. Bought a used 2023 Niro. Love it so far. Came with only one key so came to Balise Kia to order a second one. They set an appointment to program and receive the key for a week later. Came to the appointment at the time they scheduled. They had me wait for one hour only to report that the key fob had never been ordered. I've opted to go to another Kia dealership at twice the distance but with much better customer reviews. read more

I brought my 2013 Optima in for service. Oil was mixing in with the coolant, causing a leak, and the engine was getting to the point of overheating. Their diagnosis was that I was leaking brake fluid, and would need to have the caliper replaced and brake fluid refilled. I questioned if it's the brake fluid leaking, then why is there a leak right below the coolant tank? I also questioned why the brake leak wasn't affecting my braking, while I was driving. They didn't have an answer for me. After saying the parts needed to be ordered , they said I could come pick up my car and schedule a future appointment. I questioned if the car was safe to drive. After checking with the manager, the service advisor stated that the car was not safe to drive and should be left there. Knowing that the problem wasn't with the brakes, I picked up the car and brought it to Gary Rome Kia. They looked over the car and told me I needed a new engine, which is what I feared all along. Beautiful 2015 Nissan Sentra SV with 21,900 miles (Later disputed by Carfax) Balise Finance helped me finance a car when no one else would give me a car loan, but they made me pay two (2) times the actual cost of the vehicle, so how should I feel about that ? My sales representative was Raineer. On September 29 2017, we agreed upon a purchase price of $12,577.38 for the vehicle. All features and options (with the exception of the vehicle mileage) were as advertised. I agreed to put $4,500 down on the vehicle and purchase their $3,156 - 7 yr / 100K mile Carefree Car Protection plan Balise Finance however was an entirely different animal: Balise Finance agreed to extend financing to me when no one else would, but at an APR of 12.42%, and because I wanted a payment of less than $249.84 a month, they stretched the payments over 72 months (6-years) For a total loan cost of $5,411.10. And a total loan amount of $5,411.10 + $12,577.38 + $4,511.10? = $22,499.58 And a total vehicle cost of $22,499.58 + $3,156 = $25,655.58 USD I'm still not sure why they added my down payment onto the principal of the bank loan, instead of adding the Carefree Car Protection Plan. My advice: - Never pay the sticker price. Purchase any vehicle options months later as aftermarket add-ons: Why pay $13K for a pre-installed Ford F150 2.5" lift kit when you can pay $2K-$4K and have it done yourself. - Make sure financing is already in place, or apply for financing on a separate day, before you come in, so you can focus on negotiating the price of the vehicle - Conduct a vehicle trade on a separate day or conduct it as a separate transaction: Any money they lose on the trade -- they will recoup in financing. Like the car, but service is the worst I've ever experienced in my life. George the manager is a hot head and does not care one bit about doing the right thing. I purchased a 2020 Optima with low miles and reminded them 4 times to ensure the fluids were all full. They were not. Nail was in my tire and I told them the very next day and advisor told me to "wait until I get my registration" because they mailed it. Here I am a week later and still no registration, and can not get my car inspected. George fought with me and wanted me to pay for a new tire on a 2020 Optima and blamed me for not checking thourougly. Watched the manager chase unhappy customers literally out of the parking lot while I waited 2 hours to get a new tire that I had to pay half for. All around just not customer service oriented at all. I bought a brand new 2023 KIA Forte. They didn't inspect it as the machines been broken. I went to Balise Toyota 2 days later. I found out they gave me the wrong car, VIN #'s didn't match. Long story I went back to get the correct car I bought as the colors were very similar. They were very unapologetic, rude, and annoyed. The manager didn't even offer me a ride home or even a "hey I'm sorry." Just told me I couldn't drive that car and my car that I bought wouldn't be ready for hours. They delivered it 5 hrs. later and said "here you go, I even inspected it for you. "Have a nice day. "They made it sound like it was no big deal. No I'm sorry for your inconvenience, I apologize, NOTHING! After I complained the manager called next day. Just saying need anything ask for me, right! Terrible customer service and can't get any assistance and very unfriendly. So for 2 days I had an uninsured car, unregistered car; luckily nothing happen as I would of been responsible. I called for an appointment to have my oil changed and tires rotated. I had a coupon sent to me for $39.95 I was told I couldn't get an appointment until July 17th. I told them the coupon expires on June 8th could I still use the coupon since I couldn't get the appointment until July 17 I was told no. Are they really that busy that they couldn't have make an appointment earlier so I could use the coupon ? I called up Gary Rome Kia and they were able to get me in so I could use the coupon. One other thing Gary Rome also told me that there was a recall on my car and Balise where I bought the car never told me about it. read more

Horrible experience. Went in to purchase a used kia. Left with a 2018 leased Kia. And left feeling taken advantage of. Definitely my fault for not being more knowledgeable and letting them bamboozle me into this. They are very typical shady car salesmen. Made leasing sound like the thing to do when in reality, i don't switch cars every other year. Realizing after the fact, that's the main purpose of a lease. Our family just needed a reliable car. 2 1/2 years into the lease, we are over the miles that the salesman swore we would not go over with given knowledge of where I worked. The buyout now is $8k more than the Kelly Blue Book Value, so in the end, they win, I lose. Because, Hey!, who cares about the average hard working, family. I chose to do business with Balise given the fact that Mr. Balise, before he passed, donated money to the elementary school my daughter was in. Called at 5pm after hearing nothing all day and find out they haven't touched it. Very disappointed in their poor communication and worthless appointment system. We were helped by Isaiah and he was great until we got a letter 2 weeks later from the dealership informing us they ran our credit score without our consent. During our visit, the manager was hell bent and insistent on having us leave with a new car that day. We informed Isaiah that we needed to speak with our bank first and asked him to be patient. But the manager made the experience uncomfortable. Also, all the salesmen were al pleasant and well groomed unlike the manager who seemed like he was about to leave for a hunting trip, very unprofessional. The vehicle is currently at the dealership for the THIRD time being worked on and I've had the vehicle for less than two months. Their service manager, Beth was nothing but rude to me. Even contacted me to come pick the car up and stated it was fixed but upon arrival it actually had not been fixed and they have no idea what is wrong with it. I even had to fight with them for a rental even though they've had the car for a few days now. I get it, cars break. There's really no way of knowing if the car is going to break or not but their customer service is horrendous. I would never purchase another vehicle from them in my lifetime. read more

After several months of trying to get my local mechanic to figure out why my Kia Sportage was not running properly, I decided to take it to the only Kia dealership near me, which happened to be Balise. For the most part, I was treated pretty well by the service department. The mechanics seem to be more on the ball than anyone. Unfortunately, after almost 8 consecutive weeks of sitting at this dealership (for hours on end) for service on my 12+-year-old Kia, I decided I needed to face reality and look into purchasing a newer vehicle. I was assured that I would get a decent KBB valuation for my trade and would also get consideration for all the money I had just sunk into new parts and service at their dealership. Sadly, I got zip and was given the brush off when I asked about it time and time again. That was strike one. Strike two . . . . the finance manager is a complete idiot. I explained during the purchase of the newer Kia that I had to transfer some funds for the down payment. I was assured that there would be a window of a day or two to allow the funds to transfer before the check hit the bank. This was not the case. That caused me to incur another fee. The finance manager also failed to take the time to explain things properly as we were going through the paperwork and was rushing me through the process, which made me quite uncomfortable. I questioned the general manager regarding this and got a somewhat decent answer to my inquiries but still was made to feel like he was "too busy" to make sure I was completely comfortable with everything. This dealership has a pretty crappy way of treating their customers. This buying experience has been a complete nightmare with all this nonsense. They didn't even have the decency to extend me the courtesy of 24 hours to transfer the funds and now I have an extra charge from my bank. I told my salesperson all of this the day it happened but no one there seems to communicate with one another. On top of that, they leave you sitting there for hours and hours for them to get my car cleaned and detailed (half-ass job), registered, insurance transferred, etc. without any explanation as to why nothing is getting done then make a million excuses when you question them about it. They also had NO spare key fob or floor mats for me. I'm spending all this money on a new vehicle and cannot get a spare key fob or floor mats? Seriously?? This place is poorly run and is incredibly disorganized. I live about an hour away and it has taken an additional three trips down there for other issues that should have been handled the day I purchased the vehicle. I should have been offered a loaner so I could go home and come back the next day since I was not comfortable driving my old vehicle and did not feel it was safe. I asked for a loaner but was told by the finance manager than there were not any available, which was yet another line of b.s. as the service department had already offered one but at $35 per day. That's not a "loaner". That's a rental. Strike three. This dealership is truly one of the most unprofessional places I have ever dealt with. I truly don't remember having to deal with so many immature people at one business. I was instructed to visit the Balise Nissan dealership across the street for my inspection sticker and the experience was like night and day compared to how things are at Kia. They were professional and polite and did not have obnoxious music blasting or employees screaming at each other across the showroom. As much as I loved my old Kia and want to love my new one, this experience has completely ruined the joy of purchasing a new vehicle. I have been a customer of Balise (Toyota) for many years having purchased three new vehicles and traveling the hour to have all of my vehicles serviced there. I purchased 2015 Santa Fe last week from Balise Kia. While taking delivery I was told the salesman, Sean, he could only find one key fob. (Never made mention of this before I purchased. Actually can't believe the dealership isn't embarrassed that there is only one fob. Naturally I expected to receive two but Sean said he would talk to the general manager. Managers response: "Couldn't do it for me because then he would have to do it for others and that would be costly". First estimate for key fob was $250 plus $60 to program, second conversation estimate was $224 for their cost and I could take it to a Hyundai dealership and pay the programming fee. Car wasn't inspected when delivered because "they ran out of time!" Customer service stops when you sign the papers???? I am very disappointed with this whole transaction and Balise has lost a loyal customer! read more

Went here knowing exactly what I wanted in a car. Only issue was, I attempting to replace a totaled vehicle and waiting for one last form of documentation. Paul Ritz let me make a down payment on the car, neglecting to inform me that if I did not have the paperwork within 48 hours they could no longer hold the deposit. An extremely helpful individual from finance told me that I would be all set when I had the paperwork; Ritz informed me after the fact that the people in finance didn't know about the 48 hour rule either. Great communication for a company, huh!! On top of that, they told me that I would get my refund by the beginning of the following week. When it didn't go through, they said that I hadn't given the information that I needed to, to get my deposit refund. Interesting that they thought I was psychic and knew all of this information myself. Deceitful. Does not give all of the information you need at the beginning. Makes you feel like it is your fault when something goes wrong with the process. At this point I don't trust that they'll even actually give me my refund. Honestly, Ritz was more interested in telling me about his daughter than finding out my needs in regards to a car. It made the experience exhausting and longer than needed. read more

I stopped by looking for a used Soul. They didnt have what I wanted on the lot but the sales person said there was one in my price range at a different Balise dealership. She said she could get that one and I could see it later that day. I went back to see it only to find out the A/C didnt work. The sales person said she would have the shop take a look at it and get back to me (actually she wanted me to buy it without the a/c working). She never got back to me about it. THen today I found a comparable car on Edmunds that was at this dealership. I texted Mark at the number listed in Edmunds. Mark confirmed the car was available and at Balise Kia. I set up an appointment to see the car at 345pm. When we got there we found out the car doesnt exist (at least not at this dealership). I showed them the listing on Edmunds with a stock number and all but they couldnt find the car. They need to get their act together and ensure the cars they have listed are actually available and are in the condition as advertised. read more
