    Roasted Pepper Salad
    Josh B.

The cevapi and its accompanying pita are unexpectedly massive so if you're alone, you might try the 6-piece, especially if any appetizers are involved. The roasted pepper salad is structurally simple but provides an excellent meat counterpoint, especially on a hot April day. The bus ride here wasn't exactly easy but I've learned from my mistakes.

    This is Bosnian/Serbian Cevapi

This Restaurant is so good, easily the best Balkan food around. Their cevapi is great just like in the balkans. I highly recommend trying their food here. Easy 10/10.

Best cevapi I've had in the US. It took me right back to Bosnia. They're SO juicy and well seasoned and they're all beef which is great. They just melt in your mouth. The large size is definitely worth getting. I usually get two meals out of it because it's pretty hearty. The platter comes with pita, onions, ajvar (red pepper spread) and kaymak (a dairy based spread). The ajvar isn't as great as what I had in Bosnia. My fiance agrees the kaymak is better, but it's not bad. The desserts here are also amazing. We've tried three so far. My fiance said the cupavac cake, which had chocolate and shredded coconut, is the best dessert he's ever had (and he loves sweets). They tend to sell out of this fast though. We wanted to get it this past week but they were out so they called us and substituted the bombica, which is also coconut based. We've also ordered the banana cake, which is very good. Overall, this is a new favorite of ours and it deserves so much more recognition.

Soo good but u know what I loved the most? The guy at the counter washed his hands before preparing the food fresh and then even when I wasn't in there and it was empty still put on gloves . I can't express how important this is and how many people DONT do this! But on an even more amazing note The food is delicious!!!! I had the beef kebabs (cevapi) comes with pita and ajvar (like a pepper sauce ) onions and some white sauce that is absolutely ridiculously good!!! Must try only $9 dollars too !

We got pancakes (regular and chocolate chip) and they were just alright. They were thin and floppy (not very fluffy, but they weren't dry). The chocolate chips in the chocolate chip pancakes saved the flavor, but I can imagine the plain pancakes being unappetizing/unsatisfying to eat. It looks unapparent from the outside, but there was a good amount of chocolate chips embedded near the center and inside of the pancakes. They provide a lot of packets of craft syrup and butter. Unfortunately, maple syrup is $2 per packet. I've also tried some of their toasted homemade muffins, which were alright. The corn muffin was a bit dry, and the blueberry muffin was a tad bit too sweet for me. I feel like I need to try some of their other dishes like omelettes or eggs benedict to fairly comment on their food quality, but I don't know if I'd come here for that when they don't appeal too much. I would say the quality is comparable to City Diner and Manhattan Diner. Other notes: - The handwritten check can be a little hard to discern. - We go up to the cash register to pay - They have a separate gluten-free menu

The food and drinks were great!!! This is a spot you might find in Brooklyn but SURPRISE!!! Guess what? I TOOK PICTURES!! To start, we ordered the mango mojito and a hibiscus drink. Both were nice. We asked for more sugar cane because we wanted it! (So good) HOWEVER, skip both and order the rum punch!! BABYYYYYYY it was great!!! We ended up ordering it and my cousin had TWO. Trust me, order the Rum Punch. The food was delicious! Be sure to ask for the homemade hot sauce. It is FIRE!! The food: the salt fish and ackee spring rolls were good. We ordered chicken bites and they were delicious with and without the sauce!! It was "child certified" by our little cousin. We ordered fries and asked for the tamarind / ketchup. Loved it! The Trini corn soup was devoured with barely any evidence soup was in the bowl! The jerk chicken comes out on its own as an entree. The sides are al a cart. It did not need sides as the portion was nice! The crab fried rice was delicious as was the curry vegetable fried rice. The beef lo mein was delicious. The beef was tender and not too spicy . Because it was going so well, we ordered cake: a carrot slice, and a coconut slice. The carrot cake we like better than the coconut cake. Both had icing we all loved. The carrot cake was a little different from any I have had, but it was good. The coconut cake was cold and I suspect it was the reason it was on the dry side. It had flavor just not as moist as we would expect. So listen, this is a two restaurant experience. In the morning there is a different menu. We came after 5pm. This review is for the after five "set." I will attach a menu pic. Are we coming back? Yes we will!! Friendly staff that made sure we were happy and had what we needed. Great job and I look forward to my next trip and dining here! GET THE RUM PUNCH!!!

It has only one store, which is found on Amsterdam Avenue on the Upper West Side of New York City, - and it has changed very little over the past 120+ years. Most famous for its Smoked Fish, especially its Smoked Sturgeon, Barney Greengrass has an extensive menu along this line, offering mostly cured fish items, either in sliced form, or as smoked fish salads. However there is a small list of meat sandwiches that are offered as well, making Barney Greengrass yet another great Jewish Deli in NYC that is NOT Kosher. During my numerous visit between 1976 and 1999, the service at Barney Greengrass has always been friendly and informative. It made me feel like I was a regular here, even during my fist visit. I always make sure to get one the platters, which can be any combination of three smoked fish items. Usually select the Sturgeon, the Nova, and the White Fish, which comes two Bagels. I found it good to get a large of their amazing Borscht as well, as a refreshing pallet cleanser. And just to mix things up a bit, I once slit a Pastrami Sandwich, whish was on the small side for an NYC Deli, but was delicious that it was well worth price. Other items of is their Pickled Herring Salad, their White Fish Salad, and especially their Latkes (potato pancakes). I love fish, thus Barney Greengrass has become one of my favorite Delis in America. Yum!

I got the class bagel with lox and spent almost $40. if that is what it takes to keep historic institutions around, I'll do it, just not as often as I'd like to

First of all, the service is terrific. I walked in as a "one" and got to sit in this adorable little solo seat up on the second floor, which had a great view of all of the goings on down below me. Then I ordered a Classic Bloody Mary and their Deluxe French Dip from a friendly and competent server. When the Bloody Mary came out, it looked almost pink, which had given me the false sense that it might not be all that flavorful. Boy, was I wrong. It was an incredibly tasty cocktail. It honestly might have been one of the best I've ever had! The Deluxe French Dip was insane. It was a vision of beauty. I just couldn't even figure out how I was going to eat it without making a complete mess of myself. I even asked the waiter if he had a recommendation. He just told me, "You just have to own it" and brought me a stack of napkins. And "own it" I did. It was so delicious and decadent. It involves so many deep flavors. I particularly loved the horseradish sauce. Being a native New Yorker I often scoff at these madly, popular eateries that draw large crowds of people taking selfies while they're eating, but between the service, the food, the decor and the overall vibe, I honestly believe I understand why this place is so wildly popular. And you should go check it out too.

It was supposed to be a dinner show type of vibe but if you're plant-based/vegan, there's nothing for you here, which is a bit of a disappointment. I'm not expecting anything earth-shattering at a place that's known for French dip and steak, just one option that isn't grilled asparagus. So I split a bottle of prosecco with my friends and enjoyed the show. The band plays from the balcony above, and the burlyQ performer made her way through the tables and bar. Great sightlines and a fun atmosphere overall. Our server was very nice and attentive. I just left hungry. So I couldn't see myself returning without getting dinner somewhere beforehand.
