Her great grand parents were buried in Greenwood Memorial Terrace but the graves weren't marked. Kelly from the office looked them up and printed off giant maps. He could have stopped there. But he left a busy office and walked us out to the exact locations. The area where our kin are buried is a "non-endowed" section of the cemetery. They do no maintenance. No upkeep at all. It's like being buried in the woods. It is hauntingly beautiful. No tailored lawns. Primitive elegance. They let families put up their own temporary markers or you can pay to have something permanently placed. It all seemed very reasonable. And Kelly was so great about tromping around with us when there wasn't any payoff. It's exactly the sort of treatment we would all want no matter what our situation.

My father passed away and due to his divorce not being fully finalized his ex had rights to his…read morebody. . She did not have the money to cover any expenses at all. So My grandparents were in touch with funeral home and said they would cover whatever but wanted 80 percent of his body once cremated (which ex wanted cremation). The funeral home agreed to this. My grandparents paid for 2 viewings, cremation, pendants engraved with ashes (very expensive) They then had the ashes sent from Spokane to Missouri. The urn was opened not even 15 percent of ashes in there. Come to find out gave all the ashes to his ex. Idk if the funeral just said all that and didn't except us to check the ashes received. But I thought it was very terrible of them to conduct business that way. I do not recommend this place. And I suggest everyone check your urn to ensure your getting what your suppose to.

We found the staff to be empathetic, knowledgeable, patient, and kind in all of our interactions with them. They were also respectful of our wishes and never pressured us to buy a product or package, or upgrade the service we selected. The staff there took care of transporting his body to Spokane, preparing him for our funeral mass, and proactively working with us to ensure all went smoothly. The price was far less expensive than two other quotes given to us by local businesses. Still, the highest standards were set by the staff, nothing looked cheap, and we received personalized service every step of the way. We plan to utilize them again, and will be meeting with them to discuss and prepare for our own services and cremation.

They sold a package to my father in September when he was at home with my dying mother. It seemed a…read morebit excessive including expensive sign-in books and $275 jewelry but my father was very emotional, agreeable and spent a lot. When my mother passed in October we met at Hazen and Jaeger with Jack, whose demeanor changed when i asked if we could slim down the package to disclose unnecessary costs since we didn't need $300 thank you cards and another $300 guestbook. Jack left the room to talk to his manager about it and left us sitting for 25 minutes. It felt like we were buying a car. He came back and showed us the agreement signed in September that only allowed us to change the package for 30 days. So I was fine with that and ask that we proceed with the planning. Jack, obviously caught off guard, forgot about asking us the design and layout options for everything so I had to remind him to go back. His slideshow showed us an option to have "concierge" drop off of the ashes, but he had only offered to call us when they came in. Overall we spent 2 hours with somebody who didn't really seem to want to help us and I was glad when it was over. They also didn't let us preview the slideshow for the ceremony so when it arrived it came on a dvd (church said this was a first) 15 minutes before the ceremony and the church didn't have a dvd player. They also included a thumb drive of only the photos so there was none of the special music we had chosen. They also repeated 8 photos You only die once, and we really only had this chance to tribute her. On the one month anniversary of my mother's death they called my dad to ask how the service went and to pitch a funeral package to him. I thought that was pretty tactless. Two weeks later we still don't have the $275 jewelry set we ordered and God only knows whose ashes will be inside if it ever arrives. I just don't think I can trust this business anymore.
