I ordered3 yards of Dumont Fabric by the yard on March 6, 2026. It never arrived. Contacted customer support - they had no idea it hadn't been delivered. Asked to speak to management, spoke with Nicholas A., he didn't know why the fabric hadn't been delivered, found out there was a delay. This began a continuous communication where I contacted him every two weeks, and he assured me it would be sent to me soon. In May (!) he said they found out there was an issue with the manufacturer, but although they couldn't understand why there was a delay, they would continue to work on it. In June I saw Ballard online was guaranteeing new shipments within 3 days, contacted Nicholas and he assured me my shipment would go out by June 18. It is now June 23 and my order is still "in process" and no shipping target. I love the fabric, but my open house has come and gone, my family has visited and left, and I still don't have the fabric for my new dining room chairs. The person I corresponded with told me that she was sorry for the delay but they were scheduled to be delivered within the week. A week and half went by and I contacted Ballard's online again. This time the person said they were back ordered until sometime in August- like when the summer is over with!!!! And that I could cancel the order. Seems like quite a few of these reviews are of "Ballard" the store, but not of this location specifically. This is a review of this particular location not the Ballard business as a whole. I am a fan of Ballard the store but this location has its issues. I do love that we have such a huge location in Atlanta, that is a positive - due to HQ also being located here i imagine. But I don't understand why it does not function as a showroom or flagship for that reason. Also this store does seem to be rearranging constantly. I cannot remember a time when I have visited and it was not moving something around. As such, staff does also always seem preoccupied by this and less inclined to help. When I can get staff to help it is usualyl because i have a specific question and they usually do not have the info on hand or may not know where I can see a specific iten on store (probably because it all moves around so often) which can be frustrating. read more

I'm incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at Ballard Designs. I ordered dining chairs in person at the store, and the associate verified that they were in stock and available. Five days later, I received an unexpected cancellation notice with no real explanation. When I called customer service to understand what happened, the only solution offered was a $25 gift card, which felt like an insult considering the inconvenience and the fact that I now have to start my search over again. To make matters worse, the exact same style chair is still available as an individual custom-order option -- yet the company refused to offer any discount or price adjustment, even though the original in-stock set I purchased was canceled through no fault of my own. Purchased a wool rug. Rug has done nothing but shed from day 1. Reached out to customer service who advised I send an email detailing problem and incl pictures. As we hung up the customer service person offered to sell me something at a discount for my trouble. I was gobsmacked. Sent email, heard nothing. Called again. Same offer to sell me more goods at a discount for my trouble. This is akin to eating at a restaurant, mentioning that the food is substandard and them offering to sell you a dessert at 50% off. What is wrong with these people? Rhetorical question. Sent a letter to the president, I've heard nothing in response. This place does not care about its customers. It only cares about revenue. Shop somewhere you will be appreciated and treated well. Ballard Designs is not that place, but they will sell you more merch at a discount if you're unhappy with your purchase. read more

One of my favorite stores. I finally got to see an actual brick and mortar location in Atlanta. I've ordered several items from the catalog but it really helps seeing something in person. The store is beautiful inside. Outside looks somewhat like a warehouse or industrial district. The design and layout of the store is much nicer than their competitor PB. You can tell the quality of each item so much better in person than online or in the catalog. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. But they also didn't bother you or hover either. Great experience and now I just have to order the light fixture I found there. read more

This place is simply beautiful. You come in and it gives you decorating fever. Do not confuse this with the outlet that used to be in this area. The only one in the area now is on Holcomb Bridge Road. This is a regular store that most of the time has some pretty good sales going on. As I wandered around the store I had several employees offer me assistance but it felt like they were being helpful and not pushy. That was appreciated. I came in looking for new bedding. I love that they have multiple beds set up so you can see everything laid out. This also gives you the ability to play around with other items you may want to try. Since I don't have a great vision for how things will look unless I lay it out, this is super helpful for me. If you are looking for great ideas or just want to check out their beautiful store, it's worth a visit. read more

My experience with Ballard Design for the past two and a half years has been shockingly disappointing and horrible. After many purchases there were multiple problems with the actual pieces and always a significant delay and complete lack of communication regarding delivery. Examples of this are the delivery of a broken stained sofa that was a floor model even though I paid full price for a new sofa, chairs were delivered without notification and were left outside for two days with noone home to accept this delivery , my custom upholstered bed was delivered with the wrong upholstery and color The replacement bed with the correct upholstery took a year and a 7 months to be replaced and delivered defective on the upholstered headboard seams and the actual construction of the frame on each side. More than three times the store members and manager did not update my new address and I had to spend hours coordinating with the shipper, then delivery vendor to make sure they had the correct address. I have spent many hours of my time in coordinating my purchases, delivery, and correction of my defective pieces. Customer service including the lead of guest services have not been supportive and have stopped replying to my emails There is no succinct contact for corporate and I have tried to reach out to the President of Ballard Designs on Linked In without any successful correspondence. I am presently still with my defective bed and awaiting a call/email from a "Sharonda" and it has been over three weeks and still waiting The leader of guest services did not explain Sharondas role or title or timeline when I was supposed to contacted. Total disconcern for me as a client Fair warning: Do not purchase your furniture from Ballard Designs. Noone does their job at Ballard Designs Noone pays attention to details concerning your purchase and delivery. Customer service is non existent and dreadful Communication is absent. The Ballard Designs team and customer service is void of basic honesty , transparency and any respect to their customers. Stay clear of Ballard Designs. Ballard was my first stop after purchasing a new home. I could not experience a worst customer experience than purchasing from Ballard Designs. All the way from sales to delivery. Zero communication throughout the entire process. So many emails unanswered. Purchased similar items from RH, there was a delay, they let me know. I totally get in this environment there are delays. Ballard sales guy could not have been less helpful. Sofa delivered wrinkled and scuffed up. I'm still emailing the store manager who has made commitments and won't follow through or even follow up. Do not shop here if you want to exchange or return anything. I purchased two pillow covers and two feather down inserts among other items. I decided I wanted to exchange my pillows for different ones and was told upon arrival "We dont do exchanges only returns". No big deal I thought so I returned my pillows and purchased the new ones I wanted. It's been a week and the refund ($110+) still has not posted on my account. I have called the store three different times to discuss the issue and am always told my the store manager they will look into it and "call me back" which they never do. I order a bed from Ballards in February.....they had so many excuses about delivery from losing the Oder, not being in my house. Putting me on hold for 45 mins or more many times. Rude,Rude people... they have had my money for two months. I have never received what I order. I told them in customer service I wanted my money back. They told me they wanted the bed back in the warehouse. They don't listen to anything you say. As I told many people in customer service I never received the bed, I have many emails and VM about losing it. Told me they would give me a refund 3-4 weeks. From when the bed left their delivery area to warehouse. I told them I was calling AMEX to dispute charges. Ballards customer service told me NO I wouldn't. Started arguing with me and hung up... I'm sure that the piece of furniture will be nice when or if we finally get it. They left me a voice mail saying that the item would arrive between 1245 and 445. So I took a half day of vacation to be home to greet the delivery person. Unfortunately when I got home at 1230 the truck had already come and gone. They called at 3pm to reschedule for next week. Today, when I showed up at 10:30, there were several people waiting to go in, and no sign of any employee. The sign on the store and the website both indicated a 10 am opening.
