The store obviously can't tell vendors how much they can charge for their items, but I found some things to be outrageously expensive. A couple yards of stained fabric for 25 bucks, a nearly destroyed basket for almost 40 bucks, a broken stoneware jug for 50 bucks. It made the experience a lot less enjoyable. However, I will say the staff are phenomenal, and the store is clean as a whistle. I'll be back to browse, if nothing else. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon.

Whether intentional or not, it gave the impression that desirable items may not actually be available to customers. Sad to say I don't recommend. Edit: The reply from the owner clearly shows how out of touch he is with his store and its sellers. There are multiple people who can attest of the behavior of the modifying and removal of the piece I was interested in. A simple check in with your employees would confirm the situation. I was shopping for a client with midcentury taste who likes pieces with a story behind them, and this was the perfect stop. It's a great mix of time periods and style. I received help from various people working here, and all were kind and generous with their time, even as they let me circle the store for an hour figuring out which pieces I wanted to get. The process of getting items on approval was incredibly easy. I'll be back for future clients.

Interiors Market has undergone (and from the looks of it will continue to undergo) SO many renovations and refurbishing over the last year. Milton, the new owner, and his partner Greg are the friendliest people one could hope to encounter when shopping in such a large warehouse-style shop. But PLEASE don't let the size of Interiors Market intimidate you. Like I said, Greg and Milton are wonderful, polite, and well informed about their craft. Any question I had was met with an enthusiastic response. The store has an incredible and eclectic selection of lighting, home decor, art, and furniture... and it all ranges from antique, to mid-century, right up to today's contemporary trends. Browsing through the shop may take you a whole afternoon, but frequent stops to chat (and laugh and enjoy free cheesecake samples!!!) with Mrs. Hornsby of Hornsby Cakes will not only keep you entertained, but will make you feel more than welcome into the #InteriorsMarketFamily. They responded to all of our questions in a timely fashion and were overall wonderful to work with. The cabinet was delivered not long after we ordered it. I wasn't present for the delivery but my husband said it was a guy and his son. Delivery was expensive but that's what you get when you live in Maryland and the item is coming from Georgia. I'd had my eye on a West Elm sideboard but the buying process turned out to be a disaster. But I digress. Let's talk about City Issue. I gave up on WE and started poking around the online inventory of Atlanta's many vintage shops. I'd tabbed a few items and found myself coming back to a walnut sideboard from City Issue. It was a little out of my comfort zone style-wise but it was exactly what I was looking for utility-wise and price-wise. I used the "Inquire" button on their website to request a hold on it to see it in person. Someone got back to me within just a few minutes! The in-person experience was fantastic. The inventory is gorgeous and it made me all the more upset with myself for defaulting to giant corporate furniture stores. I unfortunately did not get the name of the employee who helped me but gosh, did she help! She had me bring my car around while she got the piece on wheels, helped us load it into the car, and even helped out with the most effective way to tie it down and keep the trunk from damaging it. This piece was over a foot longer than the WE sideboard, which was less expensive but adding in shipping, totaled only $3 cheaper than what I ended up with. I was exceedingly pleased with the entire experience and would absolutely come back.

The staff appeared to consist of one woman, who was involved in repairing a bench; she was nice enough, and didn't pressure or hound us as we browsed the store. When we were ready to check out, we joked and laughed with her as she rung us up and bagged out items. I was hoping to find a new-to-me nightstand there today, but nothing suited my purposes.
