Came in on a Friday night and learned that Old Stove Brewing gets busy for a reason! All the outdoor tables were full when we arrived at 6, so we put our name on the list for inside and waited about 30 minutes. The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Overall, Old Stove Brewing is the perfect combo of good location, good food, and good beer. Definitely recommend a visit when in the Pike Place area! read more

We can't here a long time ago when they were just pretty new on Pikes Place. We enjoyed it and thought we'll come back for some beers and food. Outside seating is first come first serve and inside seating you have to see a hostess. We started outside and saw someone leaving and circle them like vultures. We got lucky, it was 4th of July weekend, so it was busy! We ordered pizza for the table and for my toddler. It was really good! He loves the pepperoni. My order was the salmon burger. They used a good slab of coho, nicely seasoned with a aioli. The fries were crunchy and nice. I shared with my husband and it was just right, since we had a bunch of apps at the market. We also got a round of beers. Or in my case I got their hard seltzer, which wasn't too bad, I would probably just get a light beer next time. Service was great outside! I have to give credit where it's due--the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and did their best to make sure we had a good experience. Unfortunately, the food was a different story. We ordered the cod fish basket, and while it was cooked as well done as we requested, it was extremely greasy to the point that it was not edible. The staff did try to correct the issue, which I appreciated, but the fish was still far too greasy to enjoy. The small Caesar salad was good, and the water was refreshing. That's it, that's all. Absolutely impressed by this place. The food is really solid pub/brewery grub. This place is in a fantastic location with a view of the sound. They literally have zero reason to have legit food yet they do and it's appreciated. I had the salmon sandwich $27 and started with a half dozen wings $14. We had some oysters which were also amazing. Our sever was kind and efficient and I think the back of house is being run by the culinary version of navy seals. Apps hit the table in 7 mins entrees landed about 12 mins later. Fast fresh, and really good. Considering how crazy packed this place was for a Saturday, I'm beyond impressed. Came here following another Yelp Event nearby actually and decided to have a couple rounds with another Yelper. I just had a couple rounds of beers and split a flight with my new friend. I didn't find the pours I got to be particularly memorable. I had a Circuit breaker which was probably the best. Pomegranate sour was passable as was the Citra streaker, but none of them slapped. The place was swamped with people and while I understand the setting. for the number of staff running around here, the place was dirty. I'd think they'd have a couple of the servers come thought and sweep up and clean the tables. So my impressions of Old Stove is that it's a huge restaurant/brewery that tourists can come to as it's close to Pike Place and the pier, but as a result is slammed so bad that it looks a bit worse for the wear, or at least it was on my visit on a weekday evening. read more

It wasn't possible to get food and the service was slow, but it was a World Cup game in the city down the street at the stadium and so I believe this is to be expected. This spot was a great find in the middle of Pikes Place Market. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We were able to snag a top for 6 on a walk in just in time before the crowd. The staff was friendly, but just didn't pay as much attention to bringing napkins and silverware, but we were next to the station so we helped ourselves. The menu is limited which is nice to make deciding easy. We started off by sharing the clams which was phenomenal. Need more toast to sop up the mustard sauce. The 5 stars are for the service, ambiance and dessert (only thing we ate). Visiting Seattle for the second time and after dinner nearby (we went for $2 oysters) we decided we needed something sweet. Looked at the menu online and decided to stop by. Lots of seating and nice big open space. View of Elliot Bay was nice. My honey ordered a beer and then we decided on the Brownie Skillet. In no time it was set in front of us and it smelled heavenly. The server warned us it was large and she was right. It was served with ice cream on top, chocolate sauce, becaue you can't have enough chocolate with a brownie, and some kind fo candied nut. The brownie was SO warm, delicious and rich. The ice cream was needed to cut through the richness. I was not a fan of the candied buts but my honey liked them so he got them all. Due to the richness we only ate half and took the rest to go. It was getting late in the day and this place seem like the right spot for food and beer. We walked in and got seated immediately. No wait at all. All three of us ordered flights. They gave us these post cards to write down our individual drinks. FYI - this place requires using your smart phone to scan a QR code for the menu. What a cool place in a great location in Seattle! My husband and I ate here after exploring the market and enjoyed all the food, beer, and being able to watch some of the World Cup games. They have a large indoor seating area with tons of TVs so you can watching sporting events, as well as a patio with great views of the water. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. And we got our food really fast, especially considering how busy it was the day we were there. Our waitress brought us boxes to take home some leftovers and even gave me an extra side of tartar sauce to take home (without me asking for it) just because I'd mentioned how good it was. I thought that was top-notch service! All the food and beers we tried were delicious. I loved the fish and chips, made with locally caught fish. This place in s in pikes market area. It's a little challenging to find, but it has a wonderful vibe. It overlooks the water about three stories up. The places designed for high volume food. You feel very rushed make all their own beer, the staff is very friendly. And the menu is limited, which is really good because you're not gonna wait very long for your food. It's not fine dining, it's very casual dining so you can wear flip-flops and shorts. It's about $35 a person, so it's not cheap. I would consider coming back here again, however, I know of other places of choice that I would choose in that area. It's almost a must for me. When coming to the city. Visit Old Stove Brewing for a brew. For today I decided to try the old stove flight. An excellent way to sample some popular brews. Here are my thoughts on them and information to help you decide what best to choose. 1. Old Stove Pilsner, 4.2% ABV, 161 IBU- Light and refreshing for summer drinking or just not wanting something heavy. 2. Belgian Blonde, 6.7% ABV 25 IBU- Definitely fits the description on the menu. A spicy beer full of body. 3. Streaker Citra Pale 5.7% ABV, 30 IBU- A delicious hazy style craft brew. 4. Two-Pronged Crown IPA 6.66% ABV, 53 IBU- A typical IPA with that hoppy flavor throughout. yummy. 5. Hell Hawk Pastry Stout 7.2% ABV, 36 IBU-My favorite today! Smooth easy drinking perfect for a rainy-day beverage. 6. Seasonal Sour, Today, A key lime sour. 4.9% ABV- 51 IBU- Sort of a weird flavor after tasting the others. But on its' own a delicious sour for a hot summer day. Food here has always been yummy and service is always friendly. The ambiance is cool too. The television was playing old time beer commercials. Very funny and interesting to think things used to be so simple. Just drink beer and be happy. lol. Seating outside is first come first serve. Bar seating is the same. You can see the inside hostess to be seated at one of the many tables. Definitely a touristy spot but as a newly found local to the PNW, I love this place! I'm not used to not going into a brewery and just ordering a beer at the bar. Needing to wait for a spot to open up was foreign to me. I understand it now but be warned that you don't just come in and order a beer. The bar and outside is first come, first serve. You will have to wait until something opens up. It didn't help that the person explaining it was rude and inconsiderate. However, after that point, my goodness was my experience great. My server was fantastic and the beer was one of my favorites the entire trip. Don't think of this place as a tourist trap because it is so close to Pike Place. This place is exceptional! Belgian Blonde - so balanced that it went well with both food and the cookie. Speaking of chocolate chip cookie skillet - you know when you want a little something sweet to just top off the meal? Yeah, this was a lot more than a little something. But with all those gooey chocolate chips and vanilla ice cream, who's gonna complain?
