Never played duckpin bowling and it was confusing but fun Hahaa…read more Don't know how to score on paper the old school way much less the rules of duckpin which lets you bowl 3 times vs two in normal bowling The pins are smaller and I guess have a duck bottom and the balls are way smaller and lighter so it takes some adjusting to when rolling them! I found that not throwing the balls hard and not running up the lane but just throwing it from the top of lane crouched down did the trick It was a fun time Definitely an old school alley

We've been a few times and the space is always clean and quiet. There are a few trashcans around, so I recommend bringing an extra bag to tie up trash in since trash cans are few. There's a small lot designated for the park and free on-street parking. The tot lot has a playground and swings. Nothing fancy, but serves its purpose. I haven't seen this area overly crowded. Good option to not fight crowds and a range of age groups. There are no restrooms.

And only played about 20 very varied courses. Each have had its own pros and cons and thus comparing would be pointless It's not Scotland nor the masters. It's slap in the middle of the city, so yes. There's traffic and cars going by and music will be heard. I think there's at least two "through ways" slap in the middle of the course (so look both ways before crossing infront of speeding vehicles). The other city course I played in Bmore is alongside a highway. I've played the President course which is alongside a military airfield..pick your poison Unlike many courses, no 9 does NOT end at the clubhouse. (They should tell you the is when you first head out) No markings "eye level" that say which Tee, but it's written on the cart path. Some Signs say "to next tee"; it would be nice for it to read the actual "next tee NUMBER" A couple of cool views from above the city, and a male deer, then an entire family of deer, almost ran me over...so there's nature too. The greens were gorgeous. Fairways could be better, could be worse. But seems like a great place to practice your game, not pay a mint, and focus on technique rather than "what you wear". I'm a 55yo female, played alone, and had no fear. I saw one person walking the course. he was Relatively young and seemingly plays there often. I am in NO SHAPE to walk this course. Seemed to be lots of hills/inclines/declines, Crossing of streets, and a couple tees were "not" right next to the prior greens. Glad I got a cart and left my push cart in the car! Because many hits were up hill, downhill, or blind...and I didn't always hit it straight down the fairway, I lost a couple of balls "in plain sight" off to the left or right Not in any woods or trees or brush.. just likely hidden under the fall leaves or deep grass. Alas. Tis part of the game No water hazards. I was not bothered by the sand. And lots of wide open space. I only got to 14 before turning in the cart by "curfew", so I'll def come back I suppose they could "pretty up" the place, but I'm sure that would mean higher prices They could re-fence all around to keep walkers from cutting across, but they've likely tried (unsuccessfully ) to thwart a kid who doesn't feel like walking a mile out his way after school to go around. Cart paths were kinda rough in spots. The carts will beep if you get too close to the greens. Clubhouse was clean and well lit. Snack bar was closed but there are QR codes on the course that says food can be delivered anywhere when ordered -will have to try that out one day I'll def be back

My group of seven purchased $174 worth of tickets for DodgeBow, and the experience raised a number…read moreof concerns. Before the event, I never received a confirmation email. I called multiple times, but the Owner's voicemail box was full. I sent a text message and an email and never received a response. When we arrived, the building was locked. At that point, we weren't even sure if our activity was happening. Then a separate group arrived and we were all standing around just waiting and perplexed. A woman from that group said she also never received a confirmation email and had been unable to reach anyone. So this wasn't an isolated issue. A little after 1:00 PM (when our activity was supposed to start) two employees arrived. At first they had a hard time accessing the building and had to go through an alternative route to let us in, so that killed more time. The employees explained that the owners were on vacation and all they knew is that they had had instructiins to be there at 1:00 PM. We eventually got started, but several things bothered me. The overall operation seemed disorganized. During check in, the topic of waivers came up and none of our groups had completed waiver forms before playing. I was also surprised by the lack of a beginner safety orientation. The website states that players receive a 10 minute orientation session. We were first time players. When we arrived, safety goggles and small black arm guards were sitting on a table, but they were not handed out or explained to us. As beginners, we had no idea what "those little straps" (arm bands) were for or that they protected against bowstring injuries or that goggles were [required] throughout play. Instead, we only received rules on how the game is played. Another concern was the protective equipment itself. The website shows players wearing full face protective masks and states that protective face masks are provided. However, there are were only goggles provided. During the event, my husband was struck in the eye area by an arrow after removing his goggles because they repeatedly fogged up and made it difficult to see. His eye was sore afterward and bright light is still bothering him. We hope there are no lasting effects. My daughter also suffered a significant abrasion on her arm from the bow. When we asked for ice, the employee told us there wasn't any available and ended up providing frozen popsicles instead. I have no clue why ice wasn't available for situations like these. There were not enough arrows available at times, so players had to wait for arrows to be returned before they could continue playing. The equipment did not appear to be well maintained either. Many of the arrows were missing fins, and some had only one fin left. The playing area was small, and there didn't seem to be enough barriers for the number of players. The space was also very warm, with only one industrial fan running. There was no water cooler or bottled water available for purchase. Finally, disinfectant wipes were sitting on the equipment table, and I guess people are responsible for cleaning their own goggles before use. When I wiped ours down, the wipes came away dirty, which made me question whether the equipment had been sanitized between groups. To be fair, the employees working that day were polite and did their best with what they had. They apologized profusely and even offered to let us play longer due to the delays. The young man was swift with addressing my daughter's abrasion. My frustration is with the ownership and overall management of the business. Between the lack of communication, unanswered calls and emails, poor safety procedures, lack of ice and general operational issues, this was not an experience I would pay for again.

Both kids and adults alike had a fun time playing. Some suggestions would be to make the masks better. They easily fogged up and were a bit uncomfortable at times to wear. Also if there could be a little bit more space for food and drink would be great!
