My family and I went to Our beach house in Delaware for the 4th of July. When I turned on the water I noticed a broken shut off valve and water was shooting everywhere. I called 3 different plumbers and they said they will try to get to it soon.. that they were busy 1 day passes no call back ... So I decided to try to see if I could fix it myself ,so off to the local hardware store and I'm talking to a sales rep and he's asking me all types of questions -what size valve , copper, pvc pipe and i'm lost . Along comes this guy and says you need to Shark top it . I look at him and say I don't know what your talking about I'm not a Plumber . He says I am and I'm on vacation He asked where do you live and I say ten minutes away. He says i'll take a look at it for you. we hop in his truck and he looks at the valve and says easy fix. we ride back to the hardware store and to buy the part and tools that I need . we go back to my house where he is underneath my house working away. Remind you he is on Vacation with his family helping me a stranger that he overheard in a hardware store helping me out.( In a few minutes it's fixed and My fourth of July is saved( total time with travel back and forth to hardware store and install is 3 hrs) . I ask how much do I owe you he says nothing (zero) . I like helping people out he says . I offered to a least buy dinner or a couple cases of beer . He said don't worry about it.. and He gave me his card and said to call him if I have any other issues.. Folks it Was Jason the owner of Baltimore Sewer Service. Wow what a great guy to do this while he was on vacation to help out a complete stranger in the time of need should tell the integrity and compassion that this man has and I would highly recommend him and His company. People beware of this company. PLEASE read this review! I had posted my review on yelp once before, and this company mysteriously had it removed, but I am writing again to keep people from making the mistake that I did. I had a verbal contract with this company and the job was to start at 9 am on 7/9/14, After a no show, I began calling Jason, the person I made the agreement with, hearing the typical "I am on my way" they showed up after 3:3pm. Jason left two of his workers at the job site, then left. His excavator realized early on that the backhoe could not dig deep enough to reach the sewer line. They made a call to Jason and he instructed them to continue digging. It is around 8:30pm and they said they were finished for the day, and that they would return in the morning with a bigger machine to complete the job. Thursday and Friday came and went with numerous excuses as to why they haven't shown up to complete the job. The last conversation with Jason was that he was at SunBelt Rental talking with the manager as to why the machine was never delivered. He assured me that it was going to be delivered that day. (Friday) On Saturday I received a call from my tenet indicating that the men were there to pickup the backhoe that hey had left previously. That was the last I heard from Baltimore Sewer. I called and left email's and neither were ever anwsered. They left me with a 20 foot long, 8 ft deep hole in my front yard, with no real caution signs or anything to cover the hole to prevent people from falling in. They were never heard from again!!! When I got home on Friday after work I heard the sound of running water I followed the sound that took me to my basement and I found my water heater was the source of the running water. I immediately went on my cell phone yelp apps and searched for emergency plumbing and found several plumbing companies. Baltimore Sewer Service was one of them. I Called Baltimore Sewer Service. Though they only had a 3.5 star rating, I also noted that Baltimore Sewer Service had just been bought and was under new management and ownership and thought I should give them a chance. I made one phone call and in less than 1 hour some one was at my house. The technician evaluated the leak and found out that the bottom of my water heater was rusted and had holes through which the water heater was loosing water. In less than an hour I had a new gas water heater installed up and running by Baltimore Sewer Service. It was confirmed by the plumber that they had just bought the company and they were under new ownership and management. They also gave me a $100.00 discount for the water heater and a $50.00 coupon towards any future service. They also disposed of the old water heater after cleaning up their area of work. Our water heater broke on a Sunday evening, and Baltimore Sewer Service was out early Monday morning to asses the damage. Jason provided a full estimate on the spot and was available for new installation as soon as we were ready to call in the job. On Tuesday, the installation team of Todd and Cody were friendly, professional, and efficient. The entire removal of our old unit and installation of the new tank took only about two hours. The guys kept the heater area and the upstairs of our house clean, and they walked me through the operations and maintenance steps of our new tank. I also asked them to take a look at our piping out of the sump pump while they were there, which they were happy to do. There was a delay getting the tank unit in the morning, but the service and efficiency of the installation crew made up for that delay. We were able to negotiate an acceptable settlement on the paperwork for that, which was appreciated. The prices were very reasonable compared a few other quotes we received as well. Called these guys to look at our clogged drain. They arrived 4 hours late for their scheduled appointment, during the 4 hour wait we tried to call a few times and see if they are still coming, they say they would so we waited. After they asses the situation they decided it's necessary to cut our pipe which would not be possible since they were not prepared for that (which is reasonable). So we scheduled another appointment for next day in the afternoon. The next day, one hour past the appointment I received a call explaining that the plumbers are still finishing their last job so they will be late. Based on the fact that they did come the day before, we waited. And then we never heard from these guys again! Tried to call them a few times on the phone number they gave and the company phone while waiting and went into voice mail. I wasted half work day to stay at home and was left with a busted sink. I was so distraught by my situation and was told by others that I had a major problem a collapsed main sewer line. I was so overwhelmed just before the holidays. Jason came out with the right equipment for the job he was able to use a camera to tell me exactly how far in the main line the blockage was and assured me that it was not as bad as I was told it would be. Just wanted to write a note to say how please I am with the work Jason at Baltimore Sewer Service did for me and my Aunt. She lives in Baltimore on Charles st. and had a nasty backup coming from the sewer line. FRAUD ALERT: In the spring of 2013 I paid Baltimore Sewer Service $3,500 to replace my sewer line. In May 2016, I had a clean out of my sewer line by Len the Plumber. As part of the service, they put a video camera through my sewer line to identify the problem. The result of the video inspection showed that no sewer line replacement work had been done. When I called Baltimore Sewer Service to talk about my problem, I was informed that they had purchased the company as of January 12, 2016 and had no liability for past work. I am now submitting a fraud claim to Maryland Home Improvement Commission against Baltimore Sewer Service. My suggestion stay away from this company. read more

Great company. I called them because my bill was outrageously high. They came out and found that my main water line had a leak. They replace and repaired the damage. I have paneling in my basement and the had to put new piping that extends further than the wall. They built a new wall around the piping to match my walls. I am very happy. No messes left for me to clean up. They took care of everything. Days later I called them to come and replace my water heater. They worked quietly and quickly and once gained cleaned up all the mess. These guys were amazing and anyone that says otherwise must be full of the same stuff that's clogging their drain! They came out same day and had a very tough clog cleared in just a few minutes. I had spent the entire day before trying to clear the clog with a powerful drain clearing machine rented from Home Depot that didn't do diddly squat to unplug the sewer.
