No one and I mean no one wants to call a plumber on a Sunday evening when sewage water seems to be backed up. But such is the life of a home owner. But such was the case yesterday. And make the call I did. Before I could even explain to my wife there was a knock on the door and in walked 2 guys with a ton of equipment and within 20 minutes the clog was gone and all things were back the way they should have been. I called for quote related to moving a gas line hookup, and it seemed they did not want to do it since they thought it was not worth it. I looked online and saw that it is a common issue I had requiring gas line hookups being moved, but this was not the response I got from the guy I talked to. They could have just said that it was a difficult job and not worth it. Original experience was good, but now I am not sure I will call them again. read more

The team at Aqua Plumbing is very responsive, always answering the phone and the plumber called me directly several times. The sewer smell in my bathroom resolved itself before they arrived, likely because I ran water in some infrequently used fixtures. They checked everything out and it all looked good, so I'll just keep an eye on it and call them if the problem returns. We have used them in 2017 and 2018 I believe and had positive experiences. They came out in March 2022 and were paid $155 to diagnose an issue. They diagnosed the issue, but they never gave us an estimate to fix the issue. They seem to have forgotten that they were ever here in the first place. I cannot get them to respond to me and help with this problem. I never would have paid them $155 to show up if I had known they would refuse to complete the work. Now I will have to hire another plumber to duplicate the same work in hopes of resolving this issue. This has been a very frustrating experience that has caused me to lose confidence in this company. read more

I called Aqua plumbing to fix a running toilet I had and they did a great job. They made the initial repair but then realized the issue wasn't fixed and had to come back. They fixed the issue after the 2nd visit once the parts had been received. They were prompt, reasonably priced, kind, and I would highly recommend them to anyone with plumbing issues. read more

We were referred to Aqua by our usual plumber, who did not have all the tools needed for the issue. He had spent over an hour working on it, and felt it had to be addressed differently. He said we should tell Aqua this, and what he diagnosed, as he had referred people several times before. When Aqua arrived, I repeated what my plumber (who is experienced and honest and we have used him many times) had said. The guy scoffed and said he "doubted it". (His tone was very condescending. I cant believe he uses that tone with a man) He went to our sink and spent an hour himself before telling us it was just buildup. He said a bio cleaner would fix it and it had a 30 day guarantee. $165. The sink was running when he left. 35 days later, coincidentally enough, our sink is right back where we were when we initially called. We don't have another $165 for that guy to come out and pretend to fix it. I imagine if he would have listened to me about what the other plumber had done and checked it out as requested, we would have a working sink. They were clean and on time. One star for each of those. But the problem persists, their attitude was lousy, and I feel like we were sold snake oil. read more

Great job at a fair price replacing my hot water heater.

I have used Aqua Plumbing twice now. They are truly excellent, and I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Both times they were kind and respectful, were highly efficient fixing a complex issue on a single visit (a loud "whistling" sound from the water pipes that I learned was due to a defective pressure valve in our house), left no mess at all, and wore a mask (I am writing this review in the middle of the COVID pandemic; hopefully one day this explanation will be needed to understand the mask statement). Their prices are very reasonable, competitive with another plumber I used but with much better service (see my other review). On one of their two visits, they asked me to leave the kitchen sink on to reduce the water pressure, and the faucet nob broke - what timing! They were so kind and offered to even help me install a new faucet for free, and gave me tips on where to buy a faucet, etc. I couldn't take them up on the offer, but was grateful for their explanation of how to install it myself. These guys are just outstanding. read more

Timely and quality service; a bit pricey to replace a toilet fill valve but worth it in my opinion. I called their triage line at 10:40 am, the repairman called me back within 6 minutes, and they had arrived, finished the job, and processed my payment by 11:40 am that same day. I was very impressed with how seamless the whole process was, and how receptive the servicemen were to my questions. They were willing to show me what exactly the problem was so I could troubleshoot on my own next time. The total job invoice came out to $160, which may seem outrageous to some given the fact that they only spent 15-20 minutes in my home, but if you are looking for convenience and good, efficient service I would definitely recommend. read more

Don (the owner of Aqua) was in the area at the time I called and was able to stop by within 60-90 minutes of my call. He checked operation of the boiler, and diagnosed the problem with the help of the boiler manufacturer tech support. I needed a new ignition control module; the problem was that the boiler flame would not stay lit. He tried to get the old one working again, and seemed to succeed, but I called him back the next morning to report it started acting up again. He ordered the part and returned after it arrived in a few days to install it. The part appeared to resolve the issue and I was good to go. The boiler is over 25 years old and my previous HVAC contractor had said it needed to be replaced. Don looked at me like I was nuts when I told him that. He genuinely believed in repairing rather than replacing if at all possible, and I could not agree more. read more

I scheduled an appointment to have my leaking toilet repaired. I was told that they would be here between 9am and 12pm. I called Fred at 12pm and was told that he had a worker call out today and he wouldn't be able to get to me by 5pm. Had he called me when his worker called out, I would not have had to take a day off work. Had I not called him at 12pm there is no telling when or if I would have heard from him. I've lost a day's pay and still have a leaking toilet. This is no way to treat a customer! read more

This is a long post ~but~ it's because our issues with AQUA have been dragged out for months and are still unresolved. We called AQUA about an issue (clogged sidewalk drain). They made an appointment, then did not show up. When we called to find out why they had not shown up, they did not apologize and just said they would come the next day. Again, they did not show up. We called to explain that we couldn't take two full days off from work to wait for them. The next day, I got a phone call from AQUA that said they were "outside my house". They showed up without an appointment or permission. When I told them where the issue was (on the outside of the house), they said they fixed the issue. However, when we came home, the drain was still completely clogged. When we called to explain that they had not fixed the issue, they said they could come and "try again". The second time they came out, they decided they were unable to fix the issue (because the drain had collapsed). Despite not being able to fix our issue, we received a bill for the service stating that they had fixed it. When we called to say that we should not be charged, we were given the run around. We have now called every week for two months. We have not ever gotten a call back. We do however, continue to get bills from them (including with late feeds added on), despite the fact that they never completed the work in the first place or ever called us back. Every time we call, the secretary states that she can see we have called every week in the file, but is unable to do anything herself to resolve the issue. Working with AQUA has literally been a nightmare. Between two no shows, showing up at our home without our permission, charging us for a problem they never fixed, and refusing to call us back while sending bills with "late fees", I warn anyone who wants to use this company. read more

I had a problem with my hot water heater not getting hot enough and called Aqua Plumbing because of many recommendations from neighbors. I now know why! The service was on-time, professional and the owner and his assistant were very nice and took time to explain the whole process to me. The fix ended up being something very simple and I could have easily been charged by a less scrupulous plumber for unnecessary work. I even received a phone call the next morning to make sure everything was good. I will never call another plumber. read more

A drop cloth was placed on the floor in the basement where the work was being performed in order to prevent a mess. They came same day and when they weren't able to repair the issue, promptly came back the next morning to resolve it.
