BREAKFAST! It should be in their name! So good, and the burgers are great too, especially the Bacon Mushroom Swiss. and I love the warm, down-home feel.

Looking for something new to try, I found myself at Bama Burgers. As I entered I was asked if I wanted breakfast or lunch (11:00 am). I let them know lunch which determined which menu I received. Taking a seat anywhere I wanted the waitress was at my table really quick. Gave her my drink order (Sweet tea - really was on the bland side as far as sweet tea goes). Overall look and feel of the place is classic diner. She came back by a few minutes later and let me know that my burger would be out in a minute. Bacon, cheese burger with lettuce and onion with a side of onion rings. (Note: Burger prices don't include a side, you have to order those from the sides menu - additional $1.99 to $2.99). Onion rings are very reminiscent of what you would have if you made homemade onion rings. Nothing special or fancy or added to the batter, but fried to a good golden crispness, just a little burned on a few. The burger though, I really wasn't impressed. When I picked it up the bottom bun was so soggy it just smeared into my hands. Actually ended up removing 50% plus of the bun. The patty was really ok at best, it had a little 'special seasoning' but it really just didn't work for me. While I was eating the waitress let me know that she would be right back to top off my drink (almost empty), however she never returned to my table, so ended up without something to drink for the last part of the meal. I had wanted to try this place for awhile so maybe I had built it up too much. Overall, I really wanted to like it here, but it just missed on all aspects for me. To be totally fair, they were about at 50% capacity as far as customers, and several people seemed to be liking their experience (environment and food). So, it may just be that you could like it as well.

I am a burger aficionado and always get excited when a new burger joint opens. 2 recently in Pelham! This place blows the other out of the water. You walk in and see them pressing fresh ground beef on a great big flat top, the way it should be! Get the redneck burger! Pimento cheese bacon caramelized onions and and fried green tomato! Amazing ball of calories on a bun! Great owners and a commitment to great fresh food!

    Western omelette

Had the western omelette for breakfast. It was cooked just to my liking. Very fluffy. Coffee was nice and bold. Server was very helpful and friendly. I'll be back. Price was reasonable.

Bacon cheeseburger with onion and onion rings!

Price was high and food wasn't very good. Tasted like a burger with no seasoning and bread.

Because this is in the same parking lot as first watch, which is a breakfast/lunch restaurant the parking lot was pretty packed. We got there around 12 and luckily he was able to find a parking spot. As soon as we walked in, we could tell it was pretty busy in there. I saw a couple getting up from a table and immediately went over and sat at the table. It is table service, but you do have to order at the counter. They have a pretty good variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads. Unfortunately, due to an outbreak for lettuce that is getting people sick I decided against getting a salad. I just got a regular cheeseburger and it was delicious. My son also got a buffalo chicken sandwich which I must say was a very good size sandwich and a burger with tater tots. I got the french fries and they were very good. I will definitely be back here. The prices were great, and the food was delicious.

Because when I walked in and asked the very nice guy at the register what their best item was, he didn't hesitate for even half a second. "Fried chicken club sandwich. Hands down." Not "one of our burgers." Not "depends what you like." Nope. Immediate confidence. The kind of confidence that makes you trust a stranger with your financial future. So naturally I ordered exactly that. He even doubled down and told me it was the best sandwich he's ever had. Ever. That's a dangerous level of hype to put on a chicken sandwich. At that point I wasn't ordering lunch anymore. I was preparing for a spiritual experience. I got the sweet potato fries on the side and sat there waiting like a kid staring at the oven on Christmas morning. Then the sandwich arrived. And honestly? Visually, this thing deserved its own entrance music. Beautiful sandwich. Crispy golden chicken, stacked perfectly, looked like it had been assembled by a food stylist with relationship issues. I took the first bite and immediately realized what was wrong. Flavor had called in sick. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly. Great crunch. Juicy inside. Beautiful breading. But somehow nobody introduced it to salt, pepper, seasoning, spices, or joy. It tasted like the kitchen spent all their energy making it look incredible and forgot the whole "taste" portion of the assignment. My colleague ordered the exact same thing and had the exact same reaction, which honestly made me feel better because for a second I thought COVID had made a surprise comeback. The sandwich was one shake of Cajun seasoning away from greatness. The sweet potato fries were solid flavor-wise, but a little limp. Not tragic. Just lacking that crispness that makes you keep stealing fries after you're already full. This place feels like a really good concept that just needs somebody in the kitchen to become emotionally invested in seasoning. Three stars feels fair. Nothing was bad. Nothing offended me. It was just aggressively average after being introduced with Super Bowl-level hype. I'd come back, but next time I'm ordering an actual burger at the place called Baja Burger. Feels like that's probably the safer bet.

I ordered one of the more popular items (because I asked) the chili dog with onions and mustard - it hit the spot! The bun was steamy soft. The combo included crinkle fries. The fries were the crinkle variety and served piping hot, fried golden crispy and seasoned well. Yes, it's a bit of a well worn hole in the wall as described by some Yelpers, but I discovered that's because its well loved. Just a tiny, iconic hole in the wall that exists for one reason: to serve hot dogs that mean business. When you walk in, you already know you're not here for the décor. You're here because you're craving a hot dog and you want it done right. I ordered the Chicago dog, which showed up looking like it had zero intention of fitting politely inside its bun. This thing was juicy, oversized, and required a concerning amount of napkins. The pickles were crisp, the peppers had the right bite, the mustard was exactly what it should be. Everything hit. The only thing missing was that neon green relish that looks radioactive but somehow makes a Chicago dog official. I kind of missed it. A little. Then I got adventurous. Mistake number one. I ordered the Beef Sandwich, what I can only describe as a sloppy joe with a pickle on top. It sounded bold. It tasted... fine. Not terrible. Not memorable. Just sort of there. It's like I betrayed the hot dog gods and they let me know. My colleague went with the burger, which Tony's is apparently campaigning as "best of" material with the local news crowd. He said it was decent and a great value. High praise in burger language. Now the onion rings? Absolute perfection. Crispy, golden, and cooked exactly the way onion rings should be cooked. No notes. If I had stuck strictly to the hot dogs, this would've been an easy five-star situation. But I strayed. That's on me. Four stars. Next time, I'm staying loyal to the dogs.

We were greeted promptly and took a few minutes to look at the menu. I LOVE roast beef, so it peaked my interest. My wife chose the Smiley burger. We placed our order and grabbed a seat. Bread was crisp and the beef was hot and juicy. Horseradish gave a nice tangy flavor. My wife's Smiley burger was hand patted. Juicy and perfectly cooked. Bun was soft inside and nicely toasted in the outside. Bread and butter pickles, onion, tomato and lettuce topped it off. But the star of the show were the fries cooked in beef tallow!! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back! Thanks for an awesome lunch and excellent experience!
