5/5. The one word that stands out is consistent. You know what you're gonna get. And what you're gonna get is service with a smile and fresh flavorful food. Fries were fresh and well seasoned. Ambiance just a small hole in the wall which is just what you need for a homestyle cheeseburger. No trouble getting seated because by the time you get your food someone's finishing there's off.

There's always a line at Tony's for a reason! The burger is huge, well-seasoned, and not dry at all. The fries are a large serving and are perfectly crisp. Even though ordering may take a bit with the crowds, the food is prepped quickly and it's definitely worth it.

Stopped by a Tony's today and had the best hot beef dog I've had in a long time. It was so fresh. I went super early while they were still cooking breakfast, but they took the time to make my hot dog with love. I really enjoyed the space and the staff was great.

Polish sausage (all the way - mustard and sauerkraut) French fries

I have been here several times, but this is my first time to review. On Friday before Memorial Day, I decided that I wanted a Tony's polish sausage and fries. It was close to noon and I was concerned that it would be packed because of people taking off for the holiday. I took a chance and it was not as crowded as I was expecting. Their giant burgers are nothing short of incredible, but that day, I wanted a polish sausage. The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting. The husband and wife team are on the grill, and the wife asks you what you want to get it on the grill next. The other employees are working the cash register and preparing trays or to go bags. There are several tables inside if you want to hang out, but get there early because there aren't many places. I gave the wife my order and she got things started for me. By the time I paid (very reasonable) and got my drink ready, my order was up. I went back to work and dug right in. The polish sausage had just enough mustard and sauerkraut to make the flavor burst in my mouth. The fries were still hot, even after a 15 minute trip. My tummy was very satisfied after my lunch. Make sure you get there before they close at 3:00pm. I definitely recommend that you try them for lunch, go hungry, and take some friends with you.

    Awards just keep growing!

I have reviewed Tony's once before but thought they needed another mention. Of course from the crowds that line up out the door, they probably wish I would remain quiet about this gem. Tony's is not fancy, just great food at a very reasonable cost. Don't expect white linen and count yourself lucky if a table is available at busy times of the day. But, if you want a B'ham style hot dog, this is THE place. Of course their hamburgers and sandwiches are in the same league when it comes to outstanding food. I know they have had to raise prices like every other eating establishment, but it is still a value and the quality is off the charts! I think it is remarkable that list of "best in the area" awards keeps getting longer as the years roll by. This is a family run business where the pride of ownership is apparent. They even give a nod to Pete's Famous hot dogs, now long gone but never forgotten.

Reasonably priced. Diner style food with the quickness of fast food. Love it all! Will be coming back!

This is really popular hot dog place in the area that also serves breakfast. I got breakfast here with a friend one morning of a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. As we were eating, the line started getting long for the late breakfast/early lunch crowd. Super kind people working here too!

I always hear you got to try Tony's. Well I am here to tell you that statement is accurate! We visited Tony's on our way home from coming out of town. We ordered at the counter and took our burger and fries to-go. The customer service was great. The staff appeared to enjoy their jobs and they were extremely nice. The burger was fresh, the bacon was crispy and the ranch was drinkable. Ha, I'm kidding but I love a good homemade ranch. I didn't snap a pick of our hot dog but it was probably the highlight of the food we had. It honestly didn't even make it home on our 10 minute drive to the house. If you are looking for a good burger and dog spot this is the place to go!!

Great lunch spot, and apparently a lot of people already know this. David L. And I had lunch here a couple of weeks ago. The line can extend out the door during lunch, but it moves extraordinarily fast. Especially considering how small the kitchen is. It is a well oiled machine. I ordered a Chicago dog and a Tony's dog. I do like hot dogs. The Chicago Dog was fantastic. I called my friend who is originally from Chicago and told him I just the best Chicago dog ever! The Tony's dog was also excellent and I would recommend it. Hats off to Tony's. I want to try some more hot dog combinations. Also, I understand the Philly Cheese Steak, burgers, and breakfast are excellent. I love local independent restaurants and hope you give it a try.

This place is my type of vibe!…read more Trattoria ZaZa has been on my list of places to stop at for several years. Parking often deters me but after attending the Italian Festival earlier that day, we had a craving for pizza. I ordered the combo that includes 2 slices of the day with salad. Since I wasn't overly hungry, I offered him one of my slices and he added another slice to the order. We paid and were given a number to place on our selected table. Jazzy music played in the background while we waited on our order to be brought to the table. The natural lighting, while beautiful, made it a little warm in the building. One of the waitresses propped the door open that leads to the restrooms (which are in the hallway near the elevators) in order for cooler air to make its way in. That wasn't a deal breaker, but do be aware of that on warmer days. Our food came out after a short wait. I kept my 3 cheese slice, and gave him the pepperoni one. The cheeses were very rich and the salad, while simple without the frills, was perfectly sized and drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette that was just the right amount. While I enjoyed my meal very much and the ambiance, he wasn't overly impressed with his. He didn't want the fresh herbs on his slices and knocked all of them off, lol. He's a simple guy with simple taste. This is definitely a place I will be revisiting with one of my girlfriends and not him next time as he didn't appreciate what ZaZA had to offer. Everyone we encountered was helpful and courteous. Our food, including drinks, was around $28, which was not bad for a cute, eclectic spot downtown. If you haven't been, make sure to try them out soon. Just don't wait as long as I did to visit!

But I'm sorry the food? (In my case shrimp and grits) was NOT GOOD. And don't get me wrong, it wasn't a horrible flavor, but the flavors it did have were terrible. First the grits are not smooth at all. Like they aren't super course but they definitely could have been cooked down more. And they had little seasoning. And that's being generous. Then the "creole" sauce on top? Can we ask the audience what they consider creole? Because that was just pure tomato sauce. Like straight out a can, had to be. No way someone cooked that sauce from scratch or even with creole seasonings or typical additives I'm sorry I just refuse to believe it. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST... 5 shrimp??? You can't be serious. I could understand 5 shrimp if they're the huge jumbo ones but these are smedium at best. Like I feel BAMBOOZLED because no way I paid 24$ for 5 shrimp and maybe 1.5 cups of grits. But imma be honest I'm not surprised the food wasn't that good. Any place that puts on the bottom "we can't refund for food you don't like" that should tell you everything you need to know. But I digress My friends said the tequila sunrise was good so that's another star. Service and tequila sunrise. The only highlights. The venue is pretty but I don't recommend
