This isn't my most local Whataburger, but it is nearby. This one probably has a slightly better parking lot and is a little easier to get in and out. I do like that Whataburger is good about the modifications requested to any item. If you think you're going to visit with any regularity I'd recommend getting the app. The app and coupons that sometimes come in the mail make WB a little cheaper to enjoy more often. read more

OK, I'm biased. I love Whataburger and this one is no exception! We came here recently since we were in the area and were in need of some lunch! We ordered 4 burgers, fries, and onion rings. The person who took my order was wonderful, so sweet. She brought out our food and loaded me up with that spicy ketchup I love! I'm always happy when i have a couple extra I can take home. Their burgers here are huge. Hubs and I each only ate half. We took the other halves home and had them the next day for lunch. Still delish! I love their fries and their onion rings. Both are great, onion rings are crispy and not too greasy. Towards the end of our meal, the manager came over to see how we were doing and we had a nice chat with him. He even told us they are supposed to be opening another location in Hoover. Yay!! Great location, great staff, clean restaurant, great food. My experience on this particular visit was awesome. I had a short wait time and friendly drive through attendant who helped me with my order. The food was great. The honey butter chicken biscuit is my favorite breakfast item on the menu and it never disappoints. Staff wore masks and gloves and the dining room is still not open. ****I only gave them a 4 star rating because I've been to this location many times (pre-Covid) and the drive through was always miserably slow. read more

Unfortunately there is reason that I don't go to whataburger - the food and staff are not good. We stopped by here because my daughter was tired of chick fil a so I succumbed to peer pressure. What a mistake. We came in last week -Tuesday at 430- and there was literally 1 person waiting and maybe 2 people in the drive thru. We ordered with a staff member who was less than thrilled to be there. The big problem arose after we ordered. We sat down with a number and proceeded to wait and wait and wait and wait......... so many other people came in after us and they to proceeded to wait and wait and wait and wait..... but somehow the people in the drive thru were not waiting. I noticed at least 8 staff members in the back moving quite slowly and hanging out. I decided after 15 minutes to ask about my food but I did not half to ask as the other people at the front became quite angry with their wait and asked a staff member what was going on. He looked confused and said they were waiting on fries then ran away. I walked to the front to ask for my money back since we had to be somewhere in 5 mins and just then a staff member appeared from the back with a tray and screamed my number out and stood there. Just waited 45 minutes for my breakfast. My husband and I ordered a breakfast burger and a taquito meal. The taquito was soggy. The burger was cold. And they forgot a hashbrown. What is it about Wgataburger. As a Missouri resident I only have a chance to stop at a Whataburger when I travel. Honestly to me it's just another fast food burger joint. Nothing extraordinary or ground breaking. I had a good burger and it was on the larger size, kind of like the Whopper burger from Burger King. If you're someone who like breakfast or dinner at odd hours, this would be a good place to try because they're oven 24/7. I usually come in the mornings for their "BOB" breakfast on a bun or in the evenings for their lemon pies. The customer service is nice and food is always cooked to order. After 2.5 years in Alabama, I thought I should give this place a try. While they play off of their 1950s theme, it's pretty similar to competing fast food chains. Pros: spicy ketchup, freshly made burgers, and table side delivery (when dining in) Cons: regular onion rings came with six despite the upcharge, fries were saltier than I prefer, and burgers are messy (greasy, the toppings fall off easily) Overall, it was exactly as I would expect of a fastfood restaurant. Not good at all and the staff is just as bad. I ordered a burger only cheese and bacon. Got the food, fries was Luke warm and no cheese on my burger. Go to the counter, asked if they could put cheese on it. Instead they hand me my sandwich back and put a cheese slice in a box and handed it to me. I'm being generous giving two stars because I used to love this place and this location but the last few visits have not been up to my expectations. I don't know if there was a management change or what. The manager that was there before covid started was great and his crew did a great job. The same can't be said now. In my most recent visit I ordered using the mobile app to try to skip the drive thru that usually wraps around the building. I understand if it's busy and it takes a little longer than the app promises but I sat in the parking lot waiting for 20 minutes past the time my order was supposed to be ready and eventually a guy came out and asked for my name. He went inside and it was another 15 minutes before he came out with our food. We ordered two combo meals and added a side of onion rings. I don't know why we do this because the last three times we placed this same order they left off the onion rings and this time was no different. I went to the door and someone that I assume was a manager based on his attire asked what I needed. I explained that we had waited about 40 minutes and that for the fourth time in a row they left off our onion rings. Instead of apologizing and trying to make things right he got an attitude and told he me doesn't work in the kitchen. I don't care where you work. I just want you to fix the problem. Another problem I have consistently at this location is the drive thru. On several occasions, late at night when there were only 4 or 5 cars they would make the people wait to order until the car at the window had paid and received their food. I guess this is their way to discourage people from getting in the drive thru so they don't have to work so hard. There are numerous businesses hurting because of covid. You should appreciated the fact that you have people willing to give you their business during this pandemic which in turn keeps you employed while so many other people are jobless. There are lots of people out there willing to work if you're not. The sad thing is right across the street is a Chick-fil-A. I'm not a huge fan of Chick-fil-A due to their politics but one thing I have to give them credit for is they know how to run their business. They'll have two rows of cars lined up out into the street and I can still go through the drive thru and get my order fresh and the way I ordered it in 5 minutes. Maybe you should send your managers across the street to see how to do it right. Chick-fil-A is taking advantage of the situation and prospering while Whataburger is squandering the chance they're being given and pissing off customers. read more

I went for a late lunch and due to the dining room being closed I had to use the mobile app. The app screwed my order up and tried to straighten things out with the manager, who copped a major attitude. What can ya say - it's Whataburger, savior to all hungry people after normal dinner hours, and those really sick of Waffle House. The food (of the fast food variety, with breakfast served after 11p) is always hot, tasty, and hit-the-spoty; and this particular location is always clean, brightly-lit (ouch for you camps out there), and the people working are generally pretty sociable considering how late it can potentially be when you descend upon the place. So when "stale-lukewarm-small-square" isn't what you're looking for to fill the ol' stomach, this Whataburger's a good solution to a growling problem. :) read more

I had not tried breakfast at a Whataburger before. The drive through line at CFA across the street was long, and there was no line here. I ordered the honey biscuit combo that is pictured elsewhere. However, mine had been sitting in the heat lamp WAY TOO LONG. I took a picture of just how hard my biscuit was, and of course, inedible. I love your burgers, but today I got stuck in the drive thru waiting twenty minutes for a line that never moved. I called the restaurant and was told they only had three employees working. I had to wait another ten minutes so I could get out of the line. This drive thru doesn't hv an exit until you are near the speaker to order. Decided to stop for a meal at around 12 on a Sunday night- considering Whataburger was the only place open near where we were and it was supposedly 24 hours. We arrive and the drive-thru is closed. We decide to order online, assuming they were still open since the lights were all on. Our online total comes to around $30 but we decide to call the store anyways to make sure they got it. On the call they let us know that they actually are closed and redirect us to a location supposed to be right down the road however we end up driving about 15 minutes put of the way. This is very unprofessional. If you advertise so strongly about being open 24 hours then stick to your word. Would not recommend this specific location if you are hungry late at night. I would rather eat food from a gas station than visit this location again. Terrible management and terrible employee work ethic. read more
