Good handmade burgers! You order at the register so there is really nothing to say for service, however we did receive our meals quickly and they were hot. They have specialty sandwiches you can get with either chicken or beef which is clever. We sat outside, very limited seating both inside and out. We had The Hawaiian as a burger and The Classic Cheddar Burger, they are not huge which was good, just a normal sized burger. It is not chargrilled which was a bit disappointing and they were a little dry. The brussel sprouts were really nice to have as an option and fries were seasoned (they tasted like Jack's and I'm not the biggest fan). The BB sauce was really good to dip the fries and brussel sprouts in, definitely worth the $0.50! We didn't try the chicken. It was a little overpriced for the size of the portions, at $30 for 2 burger combos and drinks you make yourself. read more

Saw a sign for this place taking Mom for a pre-surgery appointment at Shelby Baptist. It took me a second to figure it out and then I giggled. Parking the car at Shelby (that's another story) I saw that Birds and Burgers was just across the street. I knew than where we were going for lunch. Mom doesn't get around very well and the parking at Bird and Burgers was a little difficult for her. There appears to only be one Disabled Parking Space and it was taken. Mom being mom she maneuvered her way through the bushes to get to the entrance. There's a ramp to the door so that helped. When we got inside the two booths were occupied. The rest of the seating area is bar height. Again 4'10" trooper mom wiggled her way into a bar height bench. There's a bar under the table she was able to put her feet on. I sat on a stool. You have options on method to order. Each table has a QR code that u can use to Oder and pay from your phone. One of the staff must have seen me struggling a little and said they take orders at the register. There's a menu on the wall that is readable. Mom could read it from our table. The stubbornness in me insisted on using my phone to order. Many orders seemed to be takeout or drive thru. The burgers were over cooked for our taste. The fries could have been a little crispier. Nice portion of onion rings and they were good. I thought the sprite was on the sweet side but mom's coke was good. It's always hit and miss when drinks come from a soda fountain. Free refills--I think. The drinks, which were a $2 add on to our meals was a large. We didn't need refills. The staff were friendly and acknowledged us during the meal to ensure everything was ok with our meals. The inside is small but there are two patios to eat outside. It was clean inside and out. Can't wait to eat here again! We decided to try this out on probably one of the colder nights since it's opened. Unfortunately, even with the two heaters on the patio we knew we couldn't eat there. B&B is geared towards a drive thru dining experience but it also is set up to be a great "lunch counter" with a couple long counters and a couple dozen stools. The owner was there that evening and told us they plan on enclosing the patio (porch) soon. Because this location is right by the RR tracks, probably a good idea. On to the food! We got the roasted chicken breast and a bacon cheddar burger. The chicken was sliced thick and not a big honkin' breast that's sometimes hard to bite through. The bacon cheddar burger looked pretty darn good. Obviously not a premade frozen patty. I look forward to going back soon. read more

This was a really interesting spot. The classic bacon cheddar burger was good - very dense, thick patty like your dad would grill up in the backyard. In fact, it reminded us of Backyard Burgers, but it tasted even more homemade. The fries were good too, but the real star is the chicken bites. WOW! Huge chunks of perfectly fried chicken breast were really the best chicken "nuggets" I've ever had. Paired with some delicious dipping sauces (my kids swear the BB Sauce is Zaxby's sauce), this place will definitely be a go-to when we're in Alabaster. Heads up: while it looks pretty large like you can sit inside, the only seating is on picnic tables and under a covered awning. read more

We sadly were not impressed after reading decent reviews. We looked at the menu online prior to going and it looked good. Beware, the pictures shown on the website are not accurate. Their burgers only come w/ lettuce and pickles when the picture shows tomatoes and onions also. I ordered a regular burger and was let down. The bun was smashed and the burger itself had no flavor. My husbands French fries tasted like they were fried in fish oil. Not friendly for lactose intolerant people. I have passed this restaurant hundreds of times since it opened but never tried it until a few days ago. Unfortunately it was less than stellar and hardly worth the wait. I utilized the drive thru and ordered a simple cheeseburger with the suggested toppings of lettuce, pickles, Mayo and ketchup. The website for this place shows a thick burger so that was my expectation but what I received was a thinner patty on a larger bun. It tasted average and a bit under seasoned. The fries it came with were undercooked. What really bothered me was a sign saying a surcharge would be added to all orders due to the rising costs of food and they wouldn't sacrifice quality but it seems just the opposite has occurred. I'm sure they have some good stuff on the menu but for a restaurant with Burgers in the name I expected more. On a positive note the women taking the orders and handling the register in the drive thru window was very nice and personable. read more

So this place seems relatively new and I really like the concept. You order at the window and they bring the food out to your table. The layout is unique in that it's set up as if you're eating on someone's porch. There's an enclosed area where you can avoid the weather and some outside seating for when it's nice out there. The menu is relatively broad so there's something for everyone. The prices are good and the food is pretty good quality. I feel like they could use a bit more seasoning, but I suppose that's a matter of taste. The restaurant is super clean and the owner/manager is really enthusiastic and passionate about his business. I drove buy this single wide, brown trailer with Birds and Burgers on it and I knew I had to try it. You can do drive through or go the the walk up window. There is seating for about 5-6 people on the small patio they have. I went through the drive through around 11:4( and there were a fair amount of cars jockeying to line up. I ordered the Spicy BnB and the line moved quickly. The chicken sandwich was delicious but I would have liked it a little spicier. The sesame bun was good as well as the crinkle fries. If you'd like to take some time away from the Chik-Fila/Popeyes debate, head to the big brown trailer in Alabaster and get yourself a good chicken sandwich. read more

Stopped by Bird and Burgers this morning around 10:15 am, was wanting to get an early lunch because I had heard good things about this simple menu. Unfortunately, for me they were still serving breakfast, so I thought why not give it a try. I ordered the standard chicken biscuit and a drink. $5.46 out the window and I was gone! My biscuit arrived in a plain brown paper bags and drink in a generic foam cup. The biscuit was wrapped in lined aluminum foil, and had a surprising heft to it. When unwrapped the biscuit was piping hot and fresh! The chicken breast was a large piece of white meat fried to a golden brown. Nicely crisp and had a moist juicy flavor. The biscuit was a large cat head biscuit, fluffy and golden with a taste of butter. And as always, the Diet Coke was the nectar of the gods. (At least one my opinion!) Haven't tried the rest of the menu, but the chicken biscuit was a winner. Only reason for 4 stars was there is no dining room, carry out or drive through only. We have been passing by this cool spot for months now and finally gave it a shot! The pics and reviews were promising so we were excited to check it out for ourselves. We were not disappointed! First, the venue is super cute! They have great indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was also very helpful. We got there around 4/4:30 and there was no one else in the place (my fave honestly). We both got the chicken sandwich with Mac and cheese on the sandwich!! The Mac and cheese was a huge helping on top and tasted just like my grandmother used to make it. The chicken did taste like it was from the lunch rush which was disappointing. The crazy thing is, It was an amazing sandwich even with the chicken being a little soggy. Their fries were fresh off the fryer and delicious! I also enjoyed their sauces. We will need to go back again to see if the chicken thing was a fluke! I will also be trying the chocolate chip pie. We miss the old B&B. The last 2 visits were awful for us. First visit food was cold. Our last visit will actually be our last. Music was so loud we had to shout to order and then tried to talk as we ate-extremely annoying. My husband's order was wrong-the young lady with the midriff tee shirt on that took our order probably couldn't understand even though I repeated it several times. I'm so sorry this has happened to the place. Fresh chicken and hot fries is what we came to expect and look forward to eating, but that quality control is gone. read more

A bit pricey for what you got, dry burger with lettuce (part of which were starting to turn brown), NO TOMATO nor onions. Mayo spread on it. Fries were average.
