I wish I could give a minus rating. These pillows are the most uncomfortable pillows we've ever had. They are hard as a rock and have an odd smell. My husband purchased them at an outdoor show and the pitch was simple, "if you don't like them contact the website on the bag for a full refund! 100% guaranteed." I have sent numerous message to that website for months with no answer. I finally found a phone number and when the gentleman answered with "Yeah" I was sure I had the wrong number. When I said who I was trying to reach his reply was again, "yeah". I asked if this was the company... "yeah". I asked who I could speak with about returning the pillows. He said they don't take returns, go back to where you bought it. I explained it was a show and he went on to clumsily give excuses which included, "I can't resell them", "there's nothing wrong with them", and the best was "what do you want me to do". I have never spoken to any company with such poor customer service. As much as I hate to, I'm going to try to sell them myself and see if I can't recoup something. What a scam! read more

Bought my wife and I pillows and it resulted in the best nights sleep ever. I really am amazing what a difference these pillows make. We purchased them at the Fred Hall fishing/boating show in Long Beach, CA and half the people at the show were raving about how great these pillow were (many purchased there the previous year) so I couldnt resisit trying for myself.. I have tried for over 2 weeks to contact Jake Powers about the Bamboo sheets that have NOT performed as promised. He refuses to return calls, emails or messages. Zero customer service!!! The only response I have gotten was the first time I tried talking to him and he just said he didn't have time to deal with my concerns. Then hung up on me. I would not recommend him or his product to anyone. They are definitely not worth the hundreds of dollars spent. And how can a customer get compensated for the poor quality if no one is willing to talk. I guess that tells you something right there. If they were as good as promoted to be, they would stand behind their product. As it is, they are just hiding under them. Jake Powers, quit hiding and stand behind your product. That's the way a good business works!!! I have read other reviews with the same results. Jake Powers says he isn't worried by these few complaints because he sells millions of products. Well, I am not a vindictive person generally, but this has gone beyond the point of simply my complaints. This company has the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life! I created this video to demonstrate to the owner Jake Powers the low quality pillow I recently purchased in hopes that he would offer to exchange our product for the quality advertised to us. When he did not respond, we drove two hours to visit his kiosk and talk to him personally. He absolutely agreed that our pillow was low quality and still refused to offer an exchange claiming he would lose money. Not only was he completely unreasonable- he was rude, arrogant and offensive. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM JAKE POWERS!!! There is no customer service available from his Bamboo Pillows Cool Comfort stores. He's a con-artist who hides his contact info and refuses to listen if you are able to track him down. He sold us a sheet set for a cal king bed at the Salt Lake Gift Expo, explaining that he had a kiosk nearby at Fashion Place Mall and if we have any trouble with them to just come by the mall. Well, it turns out that the fitted sheet doesn't even come close to fitting a standard cal king - it was almost 6 inches too narrow. His mall employee contacted him from the kiosk by phone where he refused a refund, exchange - or even to talk to us! I eventually spoke to him after tracking him through the Salt Lake Gift Expo organizers and he admitted that the cal king sheet sets are sometimes shipped with queen size sheets, yet he still refused to refund the purchase. For a short time he was willing to exchange the set for another cal king, but he later rescinded the offer while spewing a stream of expletives about how insignificant we were to his "very large business" that sell "thousands of these things every day". read more

I bought four of these pillows at the Orange County Fair (CA.) last year. two for myself & two for a former girlfriend. the pillows are great! Subsequently my current girlfriend has taken an interest in them. while at an event at the O.C. Fairgrounds yesterday I had the opportunity to buy a king size for her from Stephanie who made me a great deal. These pillow are great you won't be dissapointed. read more

I haven't tried these pillow but this was my experience with the manager and I don't think anyone should do business with him or his kiosks. I was walking with my 2 month old baby in the mall waiting for My husband and I was walking next to these kiosks like really close to them not in the middle of the walk way or anything and I'm holding My baby while pushing a stroller and this guy starts walking towards me and I'm walking towards him and we get to this point where one of us needs to get out of each other's way, and I can't. I have My baby and a stroller, so I just stop walking hoping he will go around and he steps over my stroller and squeezes inbetween me and the kiosk like almost bumping me and so I said "seriously?" Because I was just thinking what a jerk why can't you go around!? I have a baby and a stroller why can't you walk around! And after I said seriously he turned around and started yelling and said "SERIOUSLY YOUR THE DUMB FUC*ING BITC* WHO CANT CONTROL HER FUC*ING STROLLER OR HER KID YOU DUMB BITC*!" I just started crying and I saw a lady I knew and she told me to go to mall security and she knew the guys name was Jake Powers and that he owned the kiosks so I just reported him because I didn't think it was very nice and it made me cry. read more

This is for the curling irons that they sell under their store name Bamboo Pillows. Total ripoff!! Totally misrepresented the product to be something it totally wasn;t. I was told I was buying a 2 inch curling wand and ended up being 1 1/2". THey wouldn't refund me or do anything to remedy the situation.
