I really loved this hotel and village. My stay included a visit to the Bamboo Room for cocktails. I had 1 basic drink- a vodka cranberry and 1 Mai Thai. Both drinks were overpriced (20$ each I believe). I ended up going across the street for more drinks at this Italian spot. They were cheaper, larger, and stronger in alchohol content. This is a cute restaurant, but when your competition is literally within walking distance it doesn't make sense to charge almost 20$ for a "well drink".

Here's the schedule it's a bit dated. There's also a rooftop. They're having DJs down in the bamboo room.

It's a cool vibe. Some of the DJs are outstanding. They are now pumping in air in the summer keeps it. Cool good place to vibe.

Tucked inside the Esme Hotel awaits Bamboo Room, for your drinking pleasure. Formerly El Salon, the vibe is chic mid-century modern tropical tiki cabana with a touch of class! I don't think you can go wrong with any of their cocktails on the menu. Presentation and flavor profiles were on point. Great place to start the night or end up. Space is small but there are many tables. They don't have bites yet but there will be in the future. Love love loved this spot! You will too!

Great cocktails & really attentive service. My drinks were delicious, but watching how even a simple G&T was poured with care , what kind of tonic do you like, one lime or two. Shout out to Shawn for making the evening special

We came here to kick our night out off while staying in Miami before a Bahamian cruise. We were made specialty cocktails and even an off the menu mocktail. Incredible vibes, lovely service, would come back here in an instant!

I was excited to read the news about the opening of the first Bamboo Room by Trader Vic's in Miami, knowing that I'd be in town the following week. I'm happy to say that tonight was the night I was able to visit, and it definitely lived up to expectations. First off, this new concept is not a typical Trader Vic's. This is a cozy and casual space off of a courtyard behind the Esme Hotel (of which it is part). Think tropical rather than tiki. You won't hear any Martin Denny or other Exotica (it wasn't on the playlist tonight at least), but the drinks are top notch and the crew behind the bar will do everything to make sure you have an enjoyable evening. In addition to traditional tiki drinks, you can also try one of several house cocktails that are inspired by Trader Vic's locations around the world (past and present). We tried the El Polinesio and the Park Lane. Recommend both, especially the latter. I can't say enough good things about the folks behind the bar, especially Alexander. He took great care of us tonight, and I look forward to our next visit. ral house cocktails that are inspired by Trader Vic's locations around the world (past and present). So glad someone told us about this gem! Great atmosphere, good drinks from Mai tias to expresso martinis! Aloha

Beautiful space for elevated 'tiki' cocktails and attentive and knowledgeable service from Alexander. I'll be back for later-night music!

Instead, I stumbled upon Koana Tiki Bar--a hidden little chamber of tropical enchantment tucked away from the ordinary world. As Miami's only tiki bar, Koana is surprisingly well themed. It is a smaller establishment, which explains why reservations are required, but the intimate setting only adds to the charm. Once inside, the outside world seems to disappear beneath warm lighting, exotic décor, and the unmistakable feeling that something mysterious is being prepared behind the bar. The food is available, but Koana truly shines through its drink menu. The team has clearly done its research and assembled some serious heavy hitters. My companions and I visit whenever we're in Miami, and we've sampled nearly every drink on the menu. I have yet to encounter a bad one. They are fairly priced for Miami, though their strength should not be underestimated. These are not casual refreshments--they are potent little potions disguised as tropical cocktails. The staff is always kind, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable. They're happy to explain the drinks and guide you toward something that suits your taste, whether you seek something sweet, sour, smoky, fruity, or powerful enough to summon your ancestors. During my visit, I combined several ingredients from the menu into a highly experimental concoction. After one sip, my allergies vanished completely. After the second, I could smell colors. By the third, I was convinced the palm trees were speaking to me in ancient tongues. I have no idea what was in that drink, but my sinuses were clear, my spirit was elevated, and I briefly achieved enlightenment beneath a decorative tiki mask. Reservations are essential, the drinks are strong, and the bar is small--but Koana is absolutely worth seeking out. Just be certain you're prepared for whatever spirits may answer when you raise your glass.

Guess the insight here is Kaona draws folks who so totally want to be there and participate in the nightly celebrations that it becomes contagious, spreading from table to table with smiles, laughter, and cameras. Oh yeah, and did I mention the cocktails? I feel the term 'artisan' is so overused nowadays that I avoid using it, so can we just go with the Bill & Ted description that Kaona's tiki drinks are "Most Excellent!" Will non Gen-Xers get that last reference???

The staff here was also very welcoming and friendly. I tried their Mamey Swizzle and instantly fell in love. It came with rum, Mezcal, mamey-ginger puree and Jamaican bitters. So it's fair to say we had enough alcohol to call it a night, but this Mamey swizzle was so delicious I had to order another one. We were seated in the main bar area and both ordered a beverage. I got the Amazonia, a gin based drink with agave lavender and lemon juice with a macha rim. Caleb got the El Presidente, which is a rum based drink with orange liqueur, vermouth, and pomegranate. The drinks were really good, and as expected in a place like this, a bit on the expensive side, but at Swizzle you have a mixologist preparing your cocktails, which always heightens the quality! It was nice to find an intimate place in Miami Beach to kick back enjoy a cocktail and just have some nice conversation, and some people watching with each other. We didn't make a reservation and likely just hit the timing right, so we got in right away and had a great spot. Lentz_explore

I ordered the rock shrimp - five small grilled shrimp (about 3 cm long), served in their shells. They came cut in half with a tasty sauce, but without any side dish, for $30. They have pretty reasonable prices too.

When I came last weekend the vibes were great, it was just extremely packed to the point that everyone was grinding up against each other. Which in that moment I didn't care because I figured it's at capacity and that's normal. Although, I realized when I was leaving the bar that someone had opened my purse and taken my entire wallet. I was bummed because I couldn't continue partying up the night. This led me to message them on Instagram, which was great because they told me to come in and drinks would be on them for the inconvenience. We got to the bar and I spoke with the bouncer and he said to go to the bartenders, that they would direct me to Rensel the bar manager. He was absolutely lovely, provided my friends and I a round of cocktails and told us to look for Sophia for another round. We didn't end up getting another round because we were exhausted from dancing the night away. It was still very nice and accommodating that they did that and we appreciated it. Sophia was very bubbly and attentive as well. Overall, if you are looking for a bar with a disco ball!! This is a cool spot to come to, they have so many different specialty cocktails.
