Bartenders were attentive, but because the bar is so big they sometimes take a while to get back to you...so plan ahead! They offer food too, but we did not try any. The drinks here with great! I really liked my beverage because it came first as a frozen beverage but then a plastic bottle was on top where I got to dump the rum in. Maybe having that extra floating rum on top was what I liked about it, maybe it was the flavor of the slushie but all around it was great for me. In this busy area of miami, Pier 5 was a welcome rest and respite from the busyness happening. My only deduction with the star was that drinks aren't served to your table and that waiting at the bar can be a bit awkward and difficult to tell who was first. read more

It's a cool concept where you order your fun frozen beverage (most can be made virgin, some you can choose your liquor) at the bar, and then you can use a qr code to order food from various vendors in the immediate vicinity. Hubs like his drink and said it was heavy on the rum. I got the one with elderflower and it was kind of light on flavor. Kiddo got a mango and liked it. Pier 5 was exactly the kind of spot you want when it's sunny out and you're craving something cold and fun. I ordered the Raspberry Mezcal Cooler, and it was the highlight. It came out perfectly slushy with a simple garnish, and it stayed refreshing the whole time. The vibe is lively but easy, open-air seating, palm trees, music, and a bar setup that keeps things moving even when it's busy. Service was quick, and everyone behind the bar seemed genuinely in a good mood, which always makes the experience better. If you're going, I'd definitely recommend trying one of the frozen cocktails and grabbing a seat where you can people-watch. The bar here is a cool place to just sit and relax while sipping on a mojito, which is exactly what I did. It's located right outside of the Bayside Marketplace and when I went on a Thursday around 5 PM, it wasn't too crowded. - Frozen Passionfruit Mojito (5/5): Flavor, delicious. Alcohol content, perfect amount. Price, not bad. I really love how they make the drinks in front of you so that you know that they aren't pre-made. I saw our waitress crush up the lime, add the sugar, mint, the whole shabang. I believe we paid around $50 for our huge pitcher of frozen mojito which was very worth it. The only thing that I didn't like was when we came to sit at the bar and order a drink, we were not acknowledged until 5-10 minutes later when our waitress finished the drinks for people who ordered before us. I understand it gets really busy at times, but when she was standing in front of us, making the drink, a simple "Hi, I'll be right with you" would've been nice. What's not to love about any venue set on the water? Bayside marketplace is one of my favs because there's a marina and I'm a boat girlie, and there's lots of food places and I'm a foodie! Lol. It's also very centrally located. Pier 5 being fairly new to the marketplace is a beautiful place that sits right in the center to meet with friends or have a solo cocktail and enjoy the scenery. I was here for a chamber of commerce happy hour and enjoyed meeting new people and sipping glasses of red wine. The bar staff was also very accommodating and personable. If you're a sports watcher there's screens all around the bar which make for great viewing. I'll for sure be back to do that myself soon. They also have hookah which is an extra plus. When in Miami looking for good vibes and views, this is definitely the place. read more

Came here on a Monday afternoon after work and I was definitely surprise. I didn't know this was here Bayside is changing for the better. The bar area in the middle is such a great idea. I allowed the bartender to surprise me so the drink was with grand Marnier and tequila mix along with pineapple. cool spot to grab a drink if you go on a tour boat of the celebrity homes! Live music on Saturday was playing, beautiful paarrots to take photos with and the drinks were delicious. Rachel thr pretty bartender was so nice, and made our frozen cocktails so good we came back after our boat tour to see her again for another round. Don't be scared by this place being in Bayside--drinks are pricey but I would not write this place off as a tourist trap at all! If you've been to the Wharf or Regatta Grove, you know what to expect with the drink menu--decent drinks at average prices (for the area). But the ambiance here is what really wins out! We were lucky enough to stumble in when a live band was playing and the crowd was loving it (as were we!). Honestly, I felt Bayside's Pier 5 improved since its soft opening. Tonight it was vibing! Great band playing, lots of people dancing. Eclectic crowd. Nearby food venues buzzing. Bar poppin' (with beautiful dancers might I add). With the crowd I felt it less sketchy than when it first opened. I'm happy to see them do well. It's a place you can flow in and out of. It was our last day in Miami & I really wanted to go to Bayview. I ordered a virgin spicy caesar. The waitress tended to EVERYONE & when she finally came to me I asked for extra olives. Not only did I not get the olives she couldn't be bothered to put them on a stick. They didn't have cutlery as the olives sank to bottom of drink, I had to go to another bar for cutlery. Sure it's touristy and it takes a while to get a bartender's attention, but the bar is beautiful and you get a great view of the bay. We stopped by while waiting for our train to get one more drink. I got the peach bourbon smash and it was nice. The peach flavor wasn't too sweet, there was a decent amount of bourbon in it, and the mint flavor was good. It had the proper icy texture and the size was fine for the price. This is a good spot for pictures and to supplement any drinking you've been doing around the area. read more

Not unlike anything we've ever seen in Miami, Pier 5 brings us the same feeling as The Wharf. With a grander outdoor scale and one of the largest bars in Miami, it does make for a lovely night out. Hitting opening night, we were served with a complimentary Mojito that came with a stick of cane sugar and did not miss. There is food you can order to the bar and plenty of drinks from the menu to choose from. Being at the heart of Bayside there is plenty to see, eat, and do before or afterwards. Dropped by spontaneously on a Friday night after dinner - what a vibe! I was expecting something wharf-esque, and it definitely had that low-key, nautical bar feel but a more lively, Latin version! The band and dancers were incredible - playing all the Miami classics and getting the crowd moving. I think what I loved most was the diversity of the crowd - all ages and cultures, both locals and tourists. This place is for everyone, not one type of person. People were not shy to dance with each other and the dance floor felt like a little community! Drink-wise the prices are reasonable and there was a good variety. I have to say the service at this bar is awful. Absolutely awful. We sat down and there were 2 bartenders and maybe 10-12 people total at the bar. We sat along with another couple for honestly 15 ish minutes while the bartender just kept walking past us. No handing a menu to look at, no greeting at all, just walk past. Eventually the male bartender asked if we wanted a drink and we asked for a drink menu. he walked over and grabbed two menus and then literally started doing dishes! Seriously? Hand us the menus and then do your dishes. I told my husband what I wanted and went to find the restroom, which by the way Bayside likes to hides those things. Their signage is all wrong. I came back and he said the female bartender (who must think she is hotter than she is by tying her already short mini skirt into basically a stripper length and took tight on her wait so her little fat she has spilled over the sides) snarkily took his order and then walked away and started making someone else's drinks. The came back and asked again what he wanted. I came back and the drinks had just been placed in front of us. For the already added percentage and the price of these drinks you think you would at least get someone nice. I like Bayside, but this bar has the worst service of them all. The area is nice and comfortable for people watching, having a great drink while listening to the DJ or live entertainment. The drinks are in the Miami price range 15-20 for cocktails though I didn't order any on that day. I will be back soon during their Grand Opening celebrations next month. read more

I was very disappointed with my drink. The waitress told me it would be strong but she didn't say that it was going to be Smokey but this drink was burnt. Everyone at my table tried it and agreed that this was the worst drink ever. The waitress gave us an attitude when we told her the issue we had but strong and Smokey are two different things. Anyways, I changed my drink of choice to a daiquiri and I was happy with that decision. The place itself is vibrant and entertaining. The area is nice because you can take a stroll around after.
