Stopped into Bambu for a much needed boba drink and was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it! Usually boba drinks can be too sweet, but I found my Thai tea to be perfectly sweetened. They also use the perfect type of ice. The boba was perfectly chewy and also they get the right sized straw so the boba doesn't get stuck. There are some tables if you decide to stay and have your dessert there! My parents tried the Bambu #2 special. They said it was fairly sweet, the sweet beans were a little undercooked and overall the dessert was a little warm. I think it just needs a little more shaved ice. I tried the Mango Halo Halo, which was overall okay. The ice cream on top was icy and tasted like it melted and was then re-frozen. I've driven past Bambū many times now but have never stopped by. Located in between Inner Harbor and Fells Point in the little neighborhood of Little Italy, parking will definitely be tricky. You can try circling a few of the nearby residential streets and walking over, though this may be several blocks. I did not stop by in person, instead I received the drinks as part of a group order some friends made. Black milk tea with boba 4/5; ok so definitely get this less sweet. Though very sugary, I did enjoy the drink. The boba themselves were strangely chewy? I've never had tapioca balls taste like this. Some were fine others had the extra chewiness required because they were firmer than I am used to. Passion fruit tea with boba 4/5, this is the drinks friend had. It was really disappointing. While the toppings were good, using coconut milk as the base didn't work--it had chunks, lacked sweetness, and tasted off. Its always so hard picking out what flavors! I highly recommend their pandan waffle! It's SOoOooOo easy to eat! Crispy outside soft and a little chewy inside. I always enjoy Bambu's taro slush boba! For those who don't know, taro is a starchy root vegetable, it's often compared to a combination of sweet potato and coconut (my favorites). It's not overtly sweet and has a mild, earthy taste, and the slush texture is cold, smooth and refreshing. The tapioca pearls are perfectly chewy, adding a nice contrast to the creamy slush. A fantastic little boba shop. I've come here twice now since their official Grand Opening ceremony and ribbon cutting (they had already been open for a couple weeks prior to the event). It's family run and everyone I've interacted with has been quite friendly. The first time I came, I tried their Bambu Favorite - also my first time trying a Vietnamese dessert drink. It wasn't as sweet as some people have told me which I was glad of. It had lots of different jelly like ingredients which were all good; quite a filling drink as well. It was definitely different but really good. This 2nd time, I ordered their blended Lavender tea with added boba. The drink had a light lavender flavor to it and the boba was soft and chewy - perfect drink on a warm day! This is a Vietnamese dessert chain that, as a Viet, I always took for granted, but when I was craving chè, this place came through for me. I was looking for chè thaí in the area, but every Vietnamese restaurant in the area only had chè ba màu (3 color dessert). I've frequented their Philly location the most, so when I saw this space, I was pleasantly surprised by the size and vibes/decorations. I just wish it was located in an area with easier parking. The cashier was friendly and the order came out quickly. They have a large selection of chè classics, and I got the #6 fruit addict since it was the most similar to chè thaí. The chè comes in a cup layered with the toppings and a scoop of shaved ice, and you gotta mix it up. I always say that chè is a fun tasting dessert and that's exactly how I would describe this one too-- it has different textures from chewy to soft, it's creamy from the coconut milk, refreshing and fruity, and vanilla-y from the pandan. It also tasted like it had banana extract in it, which sometimes is added into chè, and gives it a nice aroma. This was so good and hit the spot, so I made my partner order another one for the road LOL. My only complaint is that I would prefer less red tapioca/water chestnut and more fruits. If you're in the area and want a unique, fun, and not-too-sweet dessert, this is the place. It also seems like a good place to study in or hang out with friends. (They have checkers and some card games!) An absolutely wonderful experience. Despite being a bit slower than other Bambu locations I've visited in California, the service was truly exceptional. The amazing attention from the owners themselves stood out as they were incredibly accommodating and willing to make any customization or changes to my drink that was requested. I like Bambu! I have come twice - once for a sit down dessert date with a friend, and once for quick take away of bubble tea. The menu is so extensive and the service is really quick! Every time I have been here, it is empty, so it doesn't feel overly festive. I would definitely recommend this place going into summer for a refreshing to-go treat. I am so happy that there is finally a fantastic boba place in baltimore!!! This place has the best boba in baltimore hands down!! The shop opened recently. It has alot of traditional Vietnamese desserts, boba, smoothies, and mochi ice cream. I also love the workers, they are both very friendly and the owner is very nice! He remembers you and makes an effort to get to know you if you come as frequent as i do. The shop is very clean. There is an area for games and lots of tables. Great place to come and hang with friends. As I mentioned earlier, I love the boba! I have tried multiple smoothies with boba and they are all fantastic. My favorite would be the mango smoothie. New Vietnamese drinks and dessert shop in Harbor East! I was fortunate to go to a soft opening and was able to try a few drinks from their menu. I tried 2 of the different Che drinks off the menu, the fruit addict and the coconut combo with 50% sugar. The prices are not cheap but they do not skimp on the fruit/toppings and this is not a drink as much as an icy fruit dessert and definitely shareable for 2 people. Since the fruit is canned, it is already sweet so definitely consider changing the sweetness. They also have other drinks like milk tea, smoothies and Vietnamese iced coffee as well as desserts like macarons and freshly made waffles. They were pretty slow on getting orders out as the staff was still learning the menu and I'm hopeful that will be improved. It's fairly spacious for downtown and they have some tables for groups of 2-4 people to hang out. Overall, I'm glad there are more Asian food options opening up in Harbor East and I will definitely be coming back to check out some other items! read more

Everyone was jealous when I walked into a conference room with the Taro Lover in hand though I have to say that I was expecting a drink and not a dessert in a cup. A bit embarrassing to try to slurp quietly but worth it. And of course I had to go back to try the pandan waffle + ube ice cream. It is a gorgeous building, in and out. It is very modern looking and the colors are really pretty too. The workers were patient while we were looking for what to order and explained some of the things in the drinks. All of our drinks came out pretty quickly, and even for the waffles it only took a couple minutes. Honestly, I wasn't the biggest fan of the drink that I got, there was too much stuff at the bottom, but that's just me. We also ordered pandan waffles and those were really really good, they were crunchy on the outside but the inside had a texture similar to mochi. Overall, I think some drinks have acquired tastes but I would definitely recommend trying the restaurant out. read more

I don't think words can express how excited I was when I found out that Bambu finally opened in Baltimore. I grew up on bubble tea and Asian food/desserts (including Bambu!) and honestly one of the things I missed the most when I moved to Baltimore was the abundance of good Asian food and dessert places. Flash forward to today when I was randomly searching for a bubble tea shop and I saw that Bambu opened and I immediately decided I had to go today. When i got there, parking was street parking but decently easy to find. Service was very friendly and very fast, which is always a bonus in my book.
