It's a smallish space and indoor seating was really full at 11 AM on a weekday. Because of rain, the outdoor benches were not in use, and I saw closed-up patio-umbrellas too. I ordered from a kiosk or you could order online or in person. I got the bacon egg and cheese croissant and it was made quickly by welcoming staff. It was a regular size croissant with very light cheese and a layer of crispy bacon pieces in a well toasted croissant. The flavor was good. This café also sells a number of beverages, including fresh ground espresso, and various teas And they sell some bakery goods, candies, and quite a variety of dry-packaged teas and coffee. The parking right in front Café Jun can get pretty full, but there's plenty parking in the rest of the shopping center. You can enter the shopping area from eastbound US-40 Baltimore National Pike, or from westbound Frederick Road. It's just east of Centennial Lane/Bethany Lane and about a mile West of US 29. The larger shopping area has a diner 3-strip mall sections, one of which is called Princess Shopping Center, so I'm a little confused which mall-name covers which shops. Before ordering, I wanted to ask how large the servings were and if they could make any substitutions. I wasn't dazzled by the staff member's lackadaisical attitude and curt responses. To me, that expresses that me ordering is inconveniencing them. At the end of the day, I settled for a purple passion smoothie. I asked for a little extra ice and was glad that they were able to accommodate my request. The smoothie tasted alright. Perhaps the establishment had an off day, and I'm sure the environment would be more exciting without a pandemic because the interior is bright and inviting. Boy was I disappointed. So today I left a little bit earlier so I could go to their Baltimore location on Security Boulevard and Whitehead. I was excited that it was a drive thru as I was limited on time. I was able to place my order right away, but it took at least 5 minutes for someone to come to window to take my payment. But I realized it was because they wanted to have all of my order ready when they greeted me. I ordered my favorite pb & banana protein smoothie, add chocolate, and an impossible handwich. I went miles out of my way, and every sip and bite was worth it.
