    Beef Suqaar

Generous portions for the price and their Somali tea is so comforting - it feels like a hug to your throat. Beef was a tough in the suqaar but it worked because the rice was incredibly fluffy, soft without being mushy, and flavorful. It was too easy to eat! I'd say two people can comfortably share a plate as there is a ton of delicious rice in there. Also, the green sauce is spicy and a little bit goes a long way. As an avid banana eater I now enjoy bananas with rice and the green sauce. The spicy, savory, and sweet combo really works well. I've stopped by once when a friend was picking up and tried the complimentary tea that one time, I will be thinking about it for a while! The second time it was through delivery and the banana and water were forgotten :') but I had bananas on hand that saved the day. It's a casual homey spot and I hope they stay open for a long time!

Absolutely delicious and ample portions. Their menu is very simple, only six or so dishes served in a plate form as seen in the pictures. Sides include a simple salad, a very spicy green chili sauce and your choice of meat over a bed of aromatic and seasoned rice. My favorite was the goat, highly recommend as it is fall off the bone tender and not very gamey. The beef was alright, albeit a bit chewy and tough, I'd probably skip it next time. Also have to try the lamb. Definitely recommend this place for authentic Somalian food!

Great little hole in the wall. We were recommended to try the lamb. It was flavorful and very tender, with a good amount of fattiness without being overwhelming. Recommend!

Five stars for the food, the value, and the warmth of the place. Banadir serves some of the best lamb and goat plates I've had in LA: huge portions, flavorful rice, tender meat, soup, the whole meal just works. The room is very no-frills and rough around the edges, so this is not a polished dining-room experience, but the tables and bathroom have been clean on my visits and the service has always been kind and attentive. LA has very little Somali food, and Banadir feels like an essential representative for it. I'd love to see more people support this place!

The food here is not only delicious but worth the price. You won't find an establishment in Inglewood that gives you such delicious food for a reasonable price. Nice staff and will be coming here again soon.

This place is my ultimate favorite food place in Los Angeles area. I love that the food is always fresh tasty and the workers are friendly. I always get the food more towards a grab and go option for myself. The meat rice and salad is delicious. I like that you get a meal with good spices, vegetables and good carbs. This place is very affordable and gives you a lot of food. This is a gym in the Inglewood area that I always tell my friends and family about my all-time favorite restaurant.

This is a spot off in the cut. It's really out of the way. I almost missed it, but I kept looking because I saw the great reviews on here. It was my first time trying Somali food. I was super excited because I've been trying to expand my palate. This is a family owned spot, it seems. Everyone is really kind and helpful. The menu isn't too long. There are a few options like rice and chicken or rice and goat or rice and beef. So, it's not too complicated. Everything was full of flavor. Not flavors that I'm used to eating, but very good. I enjoyed the vegetable soup. It came with my rice and beef plate. There was so much food. I couldn't dare eat it all. There isn't a lot of seating. It's very cozy. Everything is halal.

If you've been to the website, you might be expecting an upscale, somewhat modern restaurant. Don't be alarmed, it's not, but it is quaint and functional. Know what you want to order, they don't hand out menus. There is a menu on the wall at the front when you first step inside. We dove right in and decided to share the goat & rice. We stared at everyone being served and decided there was a lot of food on one plate. The goat was delicious, honestly, I could not discern it from lamb. It wasn't gamey at all. I will definitely stop here for a meal before heading to the SoFi, Forum or Intuit Dome.

One of the best meals I've had in a long time! This is a true hole-in-the-wall restaurant, nothing fancy, but the service and food are outstanding. Every meal comes with soup, a banana, tea, and bottled water. The value for what you get is incredible. There's parking conveniently located right across the street. They also have a patio, but I think the cozy indoor seating is the way to go. Definitely worth checking out!

OMG!! The food Here is absolutely incredible!! I saw the ratings, but I didn't think it could be that good .. and I was very surprised! The food has so much flavor. It was out of this world, and the meat was so tender and delicious. The service was good and fast as well.. they give you huge portions too! I couldn't eat even half of it in one sitting. I'll definitely go back again.

The only Somali restaurant in LA! The tea is the perfect amount of sweetness. Everything is always so delish and even better if you have leftovers!! The meat is so flavorful and well seasoned and pairs perfectly with the rice! Be sure to check this restaurant out, you won't be disappointed.
