Saying Hi and Bye to all who enter and leave; the staff is welcoming and depending on how large the crowd is they will also thank you when you send in your order through the kiosk. In addition, I had some concerns about the bathroom (which they handled immediately), however because I thought it was a managerial issue, I informed Liz, an employee, to get the person in charge for me. She stayed true to their protocol of trying to handle the issue herself, but I persisted multiple times. Eventually she complied. I spoke with the manager who came possibly from a break and listened intently and the referred me to another employee, Mike. Through the entire experience no one seemed agitated, no one was short with me; it felt like a normal and meaningful conversation despite the breach of protocol because of my perseverance. So kudos to the staff on 5/20/26 around 5pm. particularly Liz and Mike for handling a precarious situation with tact and customer-friendly service. The shift lead at 6:30 fixed drinks and at the same time entertained my concluding conversation about my experience along with telling me the employees' names and how to report my experience for about 5 minutes! This is one of my go-to coffee shops to study. I love that the work space in the back is open air. The place is spacious and there's plenty of plugs and seating area. Service is quick since iPad ordering allows workers to focus on preparing drinks and food. I don't have too wait long. I love their breakfast burrito and variety of bagel sandwiches. Awakening is such a vibe, especially if you need somewhere to work. I came here straight from the airport because I needed a place to cowork before checking into my hotel, and it was exactly what I needed. The front operates like a coffee shop, but in the back there is a huge coworking space. There is so much room to spread out and work. Tons of tables, plenty of outlets placed throughout the space, and everything feels open and bright. It genuinely feels like a community hub where you can either work independently or gather with friends. They also have games available like chess, Bananagrams, Monopoly, and Yahtzee. So if you are not working, or if you brought kids and need something to keep them occupied, there are options. One of the standout features is their $20 day pass. With that, you can book a private desk or room. You get a dedicated desk, a 27-inch TV display, access to booths, and private bathrooms. If you need something quieter or more focused, that is a great option. Now, fair warning: it is not silent. The music in the coffee shop area is pretty loud, and even in the larger coworking space in the back, the music carries. You can still hold a conversation, and I did take a meeting there, but for a coworking environment it is on the louder side. If you need complete quiet, I would recommend the day pass option. As for drinks, I had the double banana matcha and it was so good. Absolutely loved it. I also have my eye on the Heavenly Cloud for next time. Overall, I would definitely come back the next time I am in LA or near Inglewood. Their hours are such a plus because it hits super early shifts & the late night crowd. Whenever I see that a coffee shop has raving reviews, I want to experience the hype for myself. I would describe the location, as well as the coffee, as fun and upbeat. I ordered the Paradise Lost Ghirardelli Latte, hot. Unfortunately, for ME, somewhere the coffee got lost in the chocolate. It tasted like a mere, extra chocolatey, hot chocolate. I took my normal few "confirmation" sips, and poured it out. I wont say I wouldn't try them again, but I will more than likely customize my selection. I have been coming here for the last better part of 2 years. I am ashamed it has taken me this long to write a review. Let me begin by detailing my own order. The Espresso Tonic is not a drink that many shops offer, let alone do well and have several variations of. The Passion Fruit variation is my favorite of all. The matchas here rival my homemade lattes (JK, they are better here). My girlfriend loves the hibiscus and banana lattes. The pastries are top tier as well. The spinach artichoke is my second favorite, next to the savory chorizo pastry! No matter your preferences, you'll love whatever you order. There is a variety of different types of tables, chairs, and couches, so you can move to a different spot to feel more comfortable. I love the ambiance and colored lights. However, the music here is pretty loud, but I'm a big fan of their playlist so the music helps me focus with no need for headphones. The menu is extensive. Lots of drinks and food. This cafe is nothing like one I have visited in the past. When walking in, we were greeted by the baristas at the front and they directed us to order at the self kiosk. Ordered 2 drinks which came out in less than 10 minutes. After ordering, we were led to the back of the cafe which was where there was tons of seating, couches, and comfortable place to lounge. I like coming here, but I don't like how strong they make their Latte. Some people ask for an extra cup of milk on the side to make their drink lighter in taste. But we also got the hot turmeric latte and that was pretty unique and better than the cloud latte for sure. I would come here again to test the other unique coffee that they have. The back has this hangout/chill spot which is good for hanging out with friends, it is a little loud to study, but they have a coworking space upstairs. The outside makes it look like a tiny hole in the wall place, but there is a large area in the back with lots of seating and a Tesla cyber truck parked lol. You have to order on the iPad so make sure you have your phone on you. I wish there was more than 2 iPads as there was a long line just to order and people took a long time as the menu is quite extensive, especially for drinks. Awakening is a very non-assuming place on the outside, but when we entered, the decoration, lights, and fun goodies they had to offer stood out to me, as it was a unique concept, and the decoration was cute. Although the customer service was helpful, there were only 2 ordering stations, so it took quite a while, and a line formed out the door extremely quickly. I tried the yuzu lemonade, which was good though yuzu kept getting stuck in my straw, and the crossiant which was fairly decent. The workspaces offered opportunities to hang out with friends, chill, and even study, although it can get loud at times, but to each their own. Seeing the cybertruck and learning about the elon musk connections throughout the place definitely caught me off guard and made the experience unpleasant in the end.
